### 2/5 — Not good

*2024-04-02, version 2.9.17*

I can’t even figure out how to access my voicemail. Do not recommend!

### 1/5 — Bad service

*2023-05-30, version 2.9.17*

Me and my other co workers have tried signing up for an account but they never emailed anything to us regarding the account signup or account login information but they keep sending us emails about their app and product when they actually don’t provide any accounts information to customers. This has to be one of the worst app service I’ve encountered.

### 1/5 — Repeated messages and poor refreshing

*2022-08-27, version 2.9.12*

I am looking for something else do to lack of quality of this app.

### 2/5 — Get what you pay for

*2022-07-26, version 2.9.12*

The app crashes often, and has many bugs that don’t get fixed or even addressed. Lately I’ve been getting 10-20 notifications for one text, texts not going through, or going through multiple times. The call quality is quite poor, even when (especially when) I’m connected to WiFi. You cannot add contacts from the app or they get added to your personal phone contacts (terrifying to think I might accidentally text or dial a therapy client!!), you can only add them through the website. Website is very rudimentary. It’s fine if you don’t want to pay a lot but they’re also not updating this app more than once or twice a year so it’s probably not going to get much better.

### 2/5 — More bugs than my backyard…

*2022-05-16, version 2.9.11*

Crashes, glitches, bugs all cause complications and miscommunications with my clients. Often times phone calls vary in quality and cause frustration for those on the other line. Not to mention the apologetic callbacks I have to constantly give.

The SMS feature is a nightmare and simultaneously difficult on the desktop and app. If I have found a cheaper option I would have switched by now. Get what you pay for I guess.

### 2/5 — Needs Improvement

*2020-07-22, version 2.9.3*

I am continuing to look at other options as this app does not seem to improve. When I first spoke with them, it sounded like they would be adding features and were aware of the limitations. The app can be slow, you cannot add contacts easily in the app, and you cannot block calls. The calling blocking is a common feature with most similar apps and with the number of SPAM calls received, this really should be added.

### 1/5 — Terrible support for professionals!

*2019-12-28, version 2.9.3*

I cannot even start describing the dreadful experiences I’ve been having with this service.
For once, their international calls are super iffy, I never know if it will work or not. Second, my app sometimes just may stop working. They “fix”, I’ve been told is to delete and reinstall the app. However, at times you may not be able to get in again, even by resetting a new password.
Then, contacting costumer services is a nightmare, long holds and lies such as we will reach out within 2-5 minutes. An hour later and sever more calls with either long holds or no answer, still nothing.
Pleeeeeeease stop taking money from professor in health care if you cannot provide the services you promise. Our field is important and it requires care. People’s lives and professionals’ careers are in the line! Be responsible!

### 1/5 — Ring RX is synonymous with incompetence.

*2019-09-12, version 2.3.4*

9/12/19 Update: Ringrx continues to hold my number hostage which hinders the number from being ported.

They said porting my number from google voice would not be a problem. BUT IT WAS. Ring Rx wasn’t able to do it and blamed google voice for being the issue. Tired of their lies and incompetence, I found another provider who would port my number BUT CAN’T BECAUSE RINGRX REFUSES TO RELEASE THE PORT ORDER THEY SUBMITTED TO GOOGLE VOICE even though they said they deleted it. When I spoke with google voice they said they can still see the order Ring Rx submitted and that ring hasn’t deleted or released the order. As a result, the new company cannot move forward with porting my number. If you don’t want your phone number to be held hostage don’t deal with this service.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Do not sign up!

*2026-06-30, version 2.9.25*

You’ll be bombarded with solicitation texts and phone calls!

### 1/5 — This app is super buggy

*2025-12-02, version 2.9.25*

I almost give up

### 1/5 — Can’t make outgoing calls!

*2025-02-20, version 2.9.22*

I can’t make outgoing calls. Multiple support tickets have been submitted with ZERO response. Calls forwarded from psychology today to my RingRX number go unsent. Complete garbage!

### 1/5 — Can't send texts

*2025-02-06, version 2.9.22*

I can't send texts since the start of this week. Get an error code.

### 1/5 — Not always functional

*2024-12-30, version 2.9.22*

When I mean not always functional I mean I works as a phone but half the time my text messages fail and I just had to recently delete them redownload the app. This does not support patient care when the app is always crashing.

### 1/5 — Wish I would of read the reviews before signing up on website

*2024-08-20, version 2.9.21*

Outbound calls don’t go through well with my patients saying they never received calls. Multiple texts will send when you only hit send once. No ability to send picture messages. Rare app updates. Don’t use this service!!!

### 1/5 — So far terrible

*2024-07-30, version 2.9.21*

Uncomfortable delays on voice, faxes seem to never go through, support just tells me fixing it will take a couple weeks to migrate to new server, then never follows up and problems never go away. Will have to cancel soon, my recommendation is to avoid.

### 1/5 — I tolerate it.

*2024-04-17, version 2.9.21*

I tolerate this app because I need a HIPAA compliant system for my patients. But the app crashes often, call dropped often, now I am overwhelmed with spam calls that I have no ability to block. This is such an important part of our practices, I cannot figure out why no one is putting more effort into creating an efficient app that works.

### 1/5 — Terrible terrible app

*2024-03-13, version 2.9.17*

Don’t waste your money. The phone calls have so much static it’s impossible to conduct a proper phone call.

Good luck trying to access your voicemail. It’s like a maze.

I regret spending money on this app.

### 1/5 — Unreliable, poor customer service

*2023-09-15, version 2.9.17*

This app worked fine for quite a while and was fairly easy to set up and use. However, my phone calls started not going through to who I was calling. This was odd as I would get a voicemail and left voicemails, but it was always a generic voice mail (I.e., you have reach xxx-xxx-xxxx, please leave a message). RingRx was not able to resolve this.

When going to cancel, in the online portal is says to call a number for changes to your account. However, you call that number and they say you have to submit it online. It is concerning that there is discrepant information on how to cancel that can make it difficult and more time consuming to cancel. This seems scammy to me.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Kristi

*2025-10-31, version 2.9.25*

I’m not sure why so many negative reviews. I’ve been using this app for 5 years and if I’ve ever had a problem, I’d call support and they’d walk me through exactly what to do!

### 5/5 — Solid App

*2024-10-24, version 2.9.22*

I have been using this app for my practice for about 1.5 years. For basic phone and fax number, this is very turn key. As you add more users, it gets a little bit trickier on the set up, but customer service is fast to respond and help. I do wish there was image support for the texting.

### 5/5 — Solid app, great customer service

*2024-10-21, version 2.9.22*

We’ve been using RingRx for around 6 years. Our practice started with GoogleVoice but quickly outgrew that. After doing a lot of research into different options, RingRx seemed like the best fit for our practice and that has proven to be true. As we have grown, they have continued to work with us to customize exactly what we need. And early on, when there was a glitch that meant some calls were dropping, they worked with us intensely to get it sorted out. We are pleased with the product and pleased with the service, and it’s been a solid partner for our practice.

### 5/5 — Happy with service

*2024-07-24, version 2.9.21*

I’ve used RingRX for the last few years. I’m happy with service. Customer service is responsive. And once you learn to navigate the system the service has a lot of bells and whistles. I’m a private practice therapist and like that the service is HIPAA compliant and calls are easy to make, it’s turned my personal cellphone into two phones with a very customizable business line. The new updates have made it more user friendly. The only downside is it’s voice over internet so you do need some type of stable data connection or cell signal, just like with any other internet phone service. I’m in a rural area and this has never been an issue for me. 10/10 recommend.

### 5/5 — Top marks.

*2021-05-13, version 2.9.8*

Private practice psychologists. We are very happy with RingRX and have found it to be highly functional and reliable. Easy to use, glitch-free, and intuitive. Customer support deserves special mention for thoughtfulness in making sure our transition to RingRX was completely effortless. We’ve been using RingRX instead of landlines for three weeks now and feel they have done an outstanding job.

### 5/5 — Update : very happy with RingRx

*2021-03-15, version 2.9.8*

The settings had to be updated, and now RingRx works really well. Basically you have to have as many users listed in your RingRx account as you have physical phones, and for some reason we had not gotten that set up initially.

### 5/5 — Happy with product and support!

*2020-08-21, version 2.9.3*

We have used RingRX for our practice for over a year. It has been great - much better then Comcast or Verizon business applications. The customer service has been great.

### 3/5 — Update features

*2022-02-17, version 2.9.9*

Here are some upgrade suggestions:

•customizable fax cover sheet - the current one is horrible
•block call capability
•faster and reliable app

### 3/5 — Practice owner

*2019-10-06, version 2.9.2*

I’m not always in the office, and I would like to listen to messages, and read faxes as they come in-on my cell phone. I would like our company fax cover sheet rather than the generic RingRX cover sheet. In this 2019-2020, automation and customer service has to be a company focus. Catch up, Doug!!!

### 2/5 — Voice messages

*2024-12-11, version 2.9.22*

Does not load voicemail messages
