The Rinnai fireplace app controls features of new Rinnai fireplace models. This is not a standard feature fitted to all models. The Rinnai fireplace app will enable you to set a temperature and the fireplace will then bring the room temperate to the set level, and maintain that temperature. It will enable you to switch between set temperature to manual flame height control mode. In this mode you can manually adjust the flame height up or down. It enables automatic timers to be easily set and changed for each day of the week. You can register multiple devices to control the fireplace and then you can have fireplace controller wars with your children or spouse. I was constantly getting error messages. Then it just stopped even locating the fireplace completely. Haven’t been able to use this feature for a couple of years! Given all the negative reviews and complaints about this app you would think Rinnai would take some action in fixing this, however I can see at the time of writing this review their last update was three years ago! This app is an advertised feature of this fireplace. The wifi module in your fire is surrounded by iron and then brink or stone (if you are using it as a fireplace replacement) these two together make a really good faraday cage. So if your wifi is not on point and is weak in your room from the start, well then the heater has little to no chance of connecting to your network.
