## What is RioBirds Watch?

RioBirds Watch is a birdwatching journal with a companion bird that grows as you put in field hours. Log a sighting in under twenty seconds, attach a photo from your own library, and watch your life list, your streak and your companion's plumage develop over a season.

Everything you record lives on your device first. Logging, editing, photo attachment, guide browsing and the training-flight mini-game all work with the radio off. The network only synchronises — it never blocks you.

LOG SIGHTINGS FAST
• Pick a species, count, habitat and area in a single sheet
• Recent species and most-used area names available as one-tap chips
• Free-text field notes up to 500 characters
• Attach a photo from the camera or your library, stored on device
• Drafts survive backgrounding, so an interrupted entry is never lost

FIELD GUIDE AND LIFE LIST
• 24 bundled entries across 12 bird families with field marks, calls and flight shape
• Filter by six habitats and four rarity tiers, or show only what you have not yet seen
• Search across entry names, family names and field-mark text
• Per-family life list showing how many entries you have logged
• Month-by-month season strip for each entry
• Your own record per bird: first seen, last seen, highest count, areas, photos

• Tap a family row to jump straight to the guide

BUILT FOR OFFLINE
• Cached decks, tallies and boards are shown with the time they were fetched
• Sightings queue with a stable identifier so a retried upload never double-counts
• Clear sync status in the journal with a manual retry

PRIVACY
• No account, no password, no email, no third-party sign-in
• An anonymous device identifier is the only credential
• Your field name is the only thing other keepers see, and you can share it as anonymous
• Photos and field notes never leave your device
• Delete all data at any time, on the device and on the server
