## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Accurate title

*2021-08-21*

You just have to try different combinations with no information and hope you chose right otherwise you lose.

### 1/5 — This game makes no sense

*2021-05-14*

I suspect "Rip them off" was the designer's mission statement for people suckered into buying this game.

### 1/5 — Terrible & Waste of Money

*2021-02-22*

To begin, there is little to no introduction/instructions. You are just placed in a strategic game that gets extremely boring extremely quick when you have no idea how to play it. I have no idea how this game came up on my suggestions it is terrible. I suggest you take my advice or you’ll see and lose your money. I’d rather watch my little cousins play fortnite than play this game.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2021-04-12*

I enjoyed “Swim Out” by the same developer, so I was expecting a good game. But as other reviewers have said, it’s confusing. I gave up pretty quickly after failing to figure out the rules and the UI.

### 2/5 — Stylish but tedious

*2020-11-18*

Well, the game idea is a bit like good old „Lemmings“ to some degree. Unfortunately much less entertaining or flexible and interactive or engaging. It‘s a very static game and involves quite a bit of time in which you just watch the „lemmings“ trott through the level without being able to do much. I‘m absolutely not sure why the game got such a high rating. It does look nice, but the actual play is tedious, bordering on annoying. Maybe I‘m just playing it wrong or someone got this game a lot of nice reviews for its birthday.

### 2/5 — confusing UI, feeling ripped off!

*2020-10-25*

I wanted to like this, the art and music are cool, but the UI is confusing and is not explained properly in the tutorial, neither are the game mechanics. leading to a frustrating gaming experience. it says you should match shop size or type with traffic speed, but how are you supposed to know which ones match? the colors of the traffic input nodes are too similar, also what's with the 2 numbers for money white and green? the clock symbol is not explained. what's the percentage? people served or percent of goal income? The 1/2 labelling for days is confusing, it should be 1 and the second 2 etc. you never seem to have enough money early on to build more than one store so I feel like I'm missing something, I just wish it was better explained.

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're sorry if you find the UI confusing. We built up a FAQ document to answer all your questions and share some tips on how things work. Please consult it here: https://faq.rip-them-off.com

### 3/5 — Ok but cut out the intro!

*2025-06-05*

Game directions are minimal, which is maybe the intention? It’s very vague how to succeed other than trial and error. There is a lot of data to analyze but it’s presented poorly and up to the player to figure out how to advantage it. Trial and error seems to work just as well.

The main advice I have for the creators is KILL THE INTRO. Having to wait through what seems like eons for the game to load is ridiculous when it’s such a simple game, it shouldn’t need that much time. Also, the game reset several times and I had to replay the tutorial (super slow and annoying) and the first couple levels multiple times.

I was drawn in by the idea but so far have been disappointed by the execution. The Board is interviewing new programmers!

### 3/5 — So stylish, but unintuitive

*2021-04-10*

The isn’t enough feedback to the player to be able to learn how to improve, especially in the early game. It’s hard to know whether you’re doing well without a lot of trial and error.

### 3/5 — Update: Does not load, constant crash

*2020-10-06*

2018 iPad Pro will not load. Crashes at launch.

Deleted old version. New version installed and working. I’ll update after having some time with the game.

**Developer response:** Update: Glad to know it's working for you now!
Initial answer: Sorry to read you're having a problem launching the game. Can you please send us an email at support@lozange-lab.com with your configuration (iOS version) and what is displayed when the crash occur. Can you also please try with the latest version? Thank you.

### 4/5 — タワーディフェンス好きなので

*2025-04-17*

セーブ機能はないですが、UIもおしゃれで十分に楽しいです。

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A clever tower defense game

*2023-02-24*

This is a stylistic tower defense-style game with humorous writing and jazzy music. You build stores to attract shoppers with the goal to make them spend all their money before leaving town. It seems simple enough, but many maps take careful planning and/or desperate trial & error. Sometimes a few small tweaks will put you over the “win” threshold, but other times you have to go back to the drawing board and start from scratch. They have built-in tips to help you figure it out, but it’s more fun to try and figure it out on your own. Excellent game, check it out!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. Glad you like it! :-)

### 5/5 — Great time management puzzle game

*2021-04-02*

Almost a minimalist puzzle with funny writing text and a learning curve. Once you figure out the pace of the “Dupes” and the capacity and speed of the stores, you got it!

### 5/5 — Mit einfachen Mitteln viel erreicht

*2020-12-02*
