Using an iPhone 8. Have deleted app. Useless ### 1/5 — App not available out of NZ *2020-05-18* The Rippl app is not available to iPhones with stores not set to New Zealand. This is an inconvenience and means that pen and paper tracing has to be used. Please make this available to app stores outside of NZ, like Germany and UK. Error message each time ### 1/5 — No backup service *2020-05-13* I was excited to see another business using Rippl to register indoor customers, then I paid NZ$35 early bird rate subscription fees for 3 months. But the QR code it provided can not be retrieved. I sent several emails to ask for it, but no feedback whatsoever. Plus, it does not explain how does it work or manage for the business venue. There was no direct communication for the money you paid for the particular purpose. That is bad to take advantage of desperate hospitality business. Bad approach. I regretted what I paid. There was no half star rating, otherwise it only deserves that. ### 2/5 — Inaccurate time log *2020-05-16* I’ve used Rippl to check in to a couple places already and the length of time the app logs does not match the time I actually spent there. And it differs per user; my flatmate and I were at the same place for the same period of time and our time log is vastly different (4hrs vs 128min). And his is in minutes and mine in hours? Why not log time in and time out instead of trying to log length of stay? Seems much easier and much more accurate to just time stamp check in and check out. ### 3/5 — Very good, but needs API integration *2020-08-21* This app is easy to use, works with QR code’s no problem. Very secure and private. Like the fact you can do a manual entry if required. Only needs to add the Apple/Google API and it would get the full stars. Cindy ### 3/5 — Can’t check out, can’t manually add or adjust times *2020-06-16* There’s no option when opening the app again to check out of the previous session. (e.g. if phone goes flat and gets recharged). My times therefore say either 10 hours 30 mins (for my work) or 1 hour (for cafes) if I close the app (to save battery) and there’s no way to adjust that. Manual input for places without compatible QR codes/if you forget to scan it would also be good. ### 3/5 — Need improvements *2020-05-25* The app is easy to use. The main problem is that it does not record the right time spent in a place; it also does the logout by itself.
