## What is Rippple?

Rippple Mark II is available and should be used instead for the best and most up-to-date experience.
This legacy version remains available for existing users, but it no longer receives new features and will eventually reach end of life.

Rippple uses the Trakt.tv and the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by Trakt or TMDb.

Rippple provides "Where to Watch?" information provided by JustWatch via TMDb but can't be used to actually watch movies or TV shows.

Gorgeous interface design, I’ve not seen another tracker that looks as good as this. Functionality is rich, brilliant and smooth. 

As described, works on top of Trakt but I find best managed with your own lists rather than the native watched and watchlists idea of Trakt. Add those shows that you want to watch to your own “following” list, add / move shows which you have ended to another list. Rippple will highlight shows and episodes across all lists that haven’t aired yet but are going to, as well as shows that have aired but you haven’t watched yet. And it does that really smoothly. 

As a bonus when you reach the Trakt 100 show limit you can just create another list and mark it in Rippple as one you want to use. Save the Trakt VIP fee to have a bigger list.  

I had another tracker before this but it stored the shows within itself. When I went to see all the shows they were hidden and I had to extract them. Rippple keeps it all in Trakt so you can see all the shows that matter to you if you want.

Gave this app a try and thought it looked ok so thought I'd sign up for the 14 day free trial referred to when clicking on 'Premium' button before deciding whether to continue with £8.99 per year sub. However on choosing annual sub no mention of 14 day free trial. I continued anyway and was immediately charged £8.99 with no mention of free trial. Requested refund with with Apple Store pointing out the misrepresentation in app - both iPhone and Mac versions. Apple declined, I asked again only to have refund declined again. Can the Developer sort this out please. Why mention 14 day free trial when no way of getting one.

### 26.4.1 — 2026-03-30

You can now migrate your Rippple experience to Rippple II, the next generation of the app and the new official Trakt client.

The migration process will securely transfer your settings and local data, including iCloud data, so you can continue where you left off.

A few recommendations:
- For the smoothest experience, we recommend migrating all your devices around the same time.
- You can migrate whenever you want. There’s no rush.

Once the migration is complete, you’ll be able to start using Rippple II. At that point, you can keep Rippple I installed or delete it if you prefer.

Note: Rippple I will be sunset in the future.

Things you’ll need to set up again:
- Your app icon selection
- Your widgets (they’ll need to be added again)

Why Rippple II?

Rippple II is now part of the official Trakt ecosystem and is more aligned with the Trakt VIP experience.

Many features that were premium in Rippple I are now free for everyone in Rippple II. The most advanced capabilities are available through Trakt VIP, which you can upgrade to directly in Rippple II.

The focused was on clarifying how To Watch works, improving how you navigate your Library and History, and polishing a bunch of core interactions.
