### 2/5 — Annoying alarm vibration

*2026-08-26*

The app seems to be good however the vibration on alarms which cannot be disabled makes useless as it makes a loud noise every morning defeating the way rise alarm should work, easily waking up. My phone seats on a bedside desk, there’s no need for a vibration, it just amplifies the vibration noise. It even wakes up my wife.

### 2/5 — Pay

*2026-08-26, version 1.621.0*

You have to pay within the app if I knew this before I would not have downloaded seems cool tho

### 2/5 — Unfortunately, the trial was useless

*2026-08-25, version 1.621.0*

I downloaded the app to try it out. Unfortunately, it forces you to pick a plan. I prefer to utilize the trial first, but once I canceled the automatic renewal, the app was stuck on the choose a plan pop-up. The “exit X” is positioned so far into the corner that it won’t let you leave the screen. I’m sure that was intentional, but now I will be deleting it, as it serves literally no purpose to me now.

### 3/5 — Cool app - not for new parents

*2026-08-25, version 1.621.0*

I have two young children. This app has a lot of very cool features that I would normally find extremely useful. That said, it doesn’t take into account pregnancy or the sleep impact of having a young baby. When I’m awake 2-3x a night and it takes a while to go back to sleep, it thinks I have insomnia even though one of the intake questions included having a new baby as a factor. Trust me, it doesn’t take a while to go back to sleep because I have insomnia. Missed opportunity to be useful to parents of young kids and tailor the content for their specific needs.

### 3/5 — Don’t get it

*2026-08-21, version 1.621.0*

I’m not really sure who this is supposed to be helpful for. Maybe people that don’t have any information about sleep but for those of us that do it’s nothing special. I currently have a summer part-time job that doesn’t allow me to go to sleep when the app says and there’s no way to adjust that. If you can’t adjust to your work schedule then what is the point of the app. I was reading in the Help section that you just have to put down naps instead of your sleep schedule being normal which makes zero sense of why I would even use the app then.

### 2/5 — Very inaccurate

*2026-08-21, version 1.621.0*

I have to edit my sleep time often because it doesn’t capture it properly.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2026-08-20, version 1.621.0*

I began a week free trial of rise because I wanted to see if it would improve my sleep. At some point during that first week I was offered a second week for free with four days remaining of that trial. An advertisement for a discounted subscription came up. That page will not close making the app and the remainder of my trial unusable. I was considering a subscription, but definitely not now.

### 2/5 — Painful UI

*2026-08-20, version 1.620.0*

Synced all my health data for a year and learned nothing. User Interface is shockingly bad. Learned nothing really, I’ll just try and get my 8 hours as usual and that’s about it.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2026-08-19, version 1.620.0*

Worthless, tells me I need more sleep than is physically possible for me to get with work and kids

### 5/5 — Can’t wait!

*2026-08-18, version 1.620.0*

Looking forward to optimizing sleep and getting me back maybe even improves :)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Scam? App frozen

*2026-08-26, version 1.621.0*

Did a free trial to see what the app was about, immediately got stuck on a pay screen and I cannot use the app OR most importantly, cancel the subscription before I get charged. DONT download this app!!!!!

### 1/5 — Pointless

*2026-08-24, version 1.621.0*

Paid $0.99 to be told my optimal bedtime is the time I’m already going to bed

### 1/5 — Do not try free trial

*2026-08-23, version 1.621.0*

They will charge you even if you cancel before the end of the free trial.

### 1/5 — Should be free

*2026-08-22, version 1.621.0*

Not paying for another app for info that should be free

### 1/5 — Be careful

*2026-08-22, version 1.621.0*

This app is lowkey useless and the whole sleep “debt” never made sense. This app stopped my free trial early and charged me $29.99, it was supposed to end on the 25th of August and they charged me $29.99 on August 18th at 12:34 a.m.

### 1/5 — Terrible Support; No refund

*2026-08-21, version 1.621.0*

Terrible support and won’t respond to getting a refund. Canceled a long time ago and it keeps charging.

### 1/5 — Dehumanizing customer service

*2026-08-21, version 1.621.0*

They will cancel your subscription and prevent you from even downloading the app if you ask a simple yes or no question. I have emailed them 12 times they use ChatGPT and their responses. Don’t even match when I have they also use ChatGPT to generate a cyber bullying response to me if you want someone to make you cry this is the app for you because they genuinely love users cry, especially if they are disabled

### 1/5 — Hmmmm

*2026-08-19, version 1.620.0*

Update: I signed up for the trial. Decided I didn’t care for the app. Cancelled my subscription, deleted my account and tried deleting the app. It still won’t let me. It keeps sending me in a loop, reminding me to cancel my subscription before deleting but still won’t let me delete the app. It really shouldn’t be this difficult to delete an app off my phone. I would not recommend this to anyone at all!

I downloaded just to see what it was all about. Now I’m trying to delete the app off my phone and it keeps asking me to state why I want to delete it. No matter what, I can’t get the app deleted. What a lame way to try to get someone to use the app? Seriously? 😒

### 1/5 — Not happy

*2026-08-19, version 1.620.0*

While the data I received was slightly useful, the explanation of the COSTS of this are NOT as clear as they would like to think. “No/slight cost to you” was what I saw, because they work with your insurance. That’s all good until you get an $800 bill from your insurance company, that you owe because your information is sent to some doctor in the cloud. And if you use FSA, that means you owe it all. No insurance discount for you.
Be careful agreeing to all of this, because it IS NOT free or near free, no matter how much RISE tells you it is.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-08-19, version 1.620.0*

I signed up for a 79p weeks trial just to see if it was any good, and after answering all the initial questions, I was given an ideal wake time of 6.40-7.40am. Considering I leave for work at 7am, I find that highly unlikely! They didn’t even ask what my work schedule was in order to come to this conclusion, so I doubt this is a very in-depth “scientific” approach. I won’t be continuing with something I don’t trust, and will be cancelling immediately.
