You start of playing and all is good,. Then, after a few minutes clickable buttons appear on the screen - events, offers, challenges, rewards etc etc and now I have over 25 which cover half of the screen. But every week there are new events that require you to spend money to even participate. Always pushing new gear, add-ons. New mergers except you hardly ever get paired evenly or merge with the same bloc to make the next month manageable. When you bring up issues all the devs will say is we promise to do better and fail to do anything better except pair you against a server 200k +BR stronger which forces you to die or quit. Which doesn’t seem like a lot but in this game that difference means no matter how many or how much you try you can never beat them. Unless you are going to spend thousands of dollars, yes thousands, don't play this game. I spent $500+ and ONE BULLY in the entire game made it unenjoyable. You could not participate in any events or gather resources to grow without this guy killing your troops. DO. NOT. WASTE. YOUR TIME. ### 1/5 — Pay To Win *2024-12-13, version 2.0.108* Recent issue with an event helped some players get more balanced with pay to win players. It was the app’s fault, but players had to grind an event for the rewards. Devs realized their mistake and stated stalling rewards back. They don’t want you playing unless you’re going to spends thousands. Then it takes back from you what you paid for in events saying it was a mistake. The Game and company will I’ll be reported to the FCC and Apple for fraud against the customers. ### 1/5 — Negative stars for this pathetic game *2024-11-29, version 2.0.107* I have never seen a game so money hungry as this one. First in order to be competitive you HAVE to spend in a monthly access to participate in the daily points. Secondly every week there is some “event” but again to participate in winning the big prizes you need to buy them. And their price point is NOT reasonable at all. We are talking 400-500 USD for a city skin or goddess. These are needed to build power in order to fairly compete with other players. The game design is very bad. The letters are tiny there is no option for contrast and the translation is pathetic. For any new release it’s always a guess work what does something do? How to play? There are minimum directions and most players play multiple servers to figure out game mechanics. Getting technical support in this game is a joke. I had an issue where the wrong server was receiving my access and it took them two months to recognize and fix their mistake. The whole experience was very frustrating. They blamed me for their mistakes. There is a fifth anniversary event currently ongoing. You only get prizes if you recharge. First Signin reward is redeemed only after spending .99USD. For any premium reward there is a recharge required. They give you one token per day for this event. In total you can collect 7 tokens (one for each day). But to redeem for any prize is four tokens for a speed buff. That is the explanation of the entirety of this game- of what the game developers have placed value on YOU the player, your time and money. The one star that’s given is for being a game and interaction with players from the world. But that’s about where it stops. Don’t expect to sleep with events round the clock. Don’t really expect engagement because it’s irrelevant you need to spend. In my opinion it’s much much better to find a multiplayer game that’s engaging then to spend even a second on this terrible money grab. But i felt my mentor was constantly telling me to spend money or i would fall behind and it was a bad thing. Almost like tge mentor works for tge game maker. But the waste i wasted diamonds and got a you might get. If i spent 1k i might get a piece i needed. But the 1k to get tgere i got nothing to show for it. Waste of my time waste of my money. I think they get you to spend real quick so it is hard to quit cuz of how much you spend. I want to cancel my subscription that i have now and cant figure out how to do it. At level 33 obtaining the Robinhood hero becomes available. There are 7 tasks with only 6 needed to be completed. But only 5 can actually be completed in time with the two outstanding tasks obtain 15 items & attack a stronghold left as open. This after spending countless hours leveling up your town building which requires advancing through levels of other buildings taking even more time only to determine there is no way of accomplishing all 6 tasks in the time allotted & one of those ranks f attacking the stronghold doesn’t even exist. Luckily I am a f2p & never spend money on games otherwise this could have been a very expensive game to play. All I am out is time which would have been spent playing anyway. I will say that it is not my type of game but surprisingly everything is well organized. There are a lot of buttons and tabs so it feels like theres a lot up in your face right now but I'm sure if you actually enjoy playing the game then you can find your away around easily. I will say my only complaints are that I have my suspicions that the game contains AI art and dialogue. CHANCES… that’s the KEY word.. you get 1 chance.. trust me it isn’t random. After you use up that chance you have to pay to get any thing of value. I started this game almost a year ago.. I play on multiple servers, I really am addicted to this game.. that being said.. i would quit if i didn’t have so much invested in it. I’m retired on a fixed income.. i save a little money to use on this game, you can’t get anywhere.. it costs an exorbitant amount of diamonds to star up your equipment.. it costs so much to participate in the mini games that last for 3 days. You have to use money or your diamonds to get anywhere. The tavern is the biggest disappointment, you get 10 point tally cards. You can either choose to promote a hero.. or upgrade a talent.. you can’t do both unless you are willing to spend a LOT of money. Almost a year.. I still do not have enough tallies to make my heroes stronger. I have made many suggestions to the game and they were APPROVED.. I have yet to see any of those suggestions implemented. We do love this game.. but.. come on.. we that can’t afford it need a break. If you send a player a notice that their suggestions have been approved, it would be nice to see them implemented. That’s the 2 star rating. I’m very disappointed. I won’t spend anymore money. I just can’t afford it. This is an update on my recent review.. I am still very disappointed in the pricing and micro pricing in this game.. the mini games where it is not possible to finish if you do not pay for a portion of the game. I still play on multiple servers.. because.. I do love this game. I would like to say a special thank you to Zoe.. you can go to Zoe at anytime.. day or night with any kind of problem or even just to say hello and you always get a response. I do not know who Zoe is.. but .. whoever it is deserves a raise. Thank you Zoe for always being there.
