## What is RiskCalc?

RiskCalc tells you how many shares to buy so that a losing trade costs you exactly what you decided it could, and not a dollar more.

Pick how much of your account a trade may risk, as a percent or a dollar amount. Enter your entry price and your stop. Tap Calculate. RiskCalc divides your risk budget by the loss per share at your stop and gives you the share count, rounded down so you never go over.

POSITION SIZE IN ONE TAP
Account size, risk, entry and stop: that's all it needs. You get the share count, position value, risk per share, and the total you lose if the stop is hit, each shown as a share of your account.

LONGS AND SHORTS
Put your stop below entry for a long, above it for a short. An arrow on the result shows the direction, so a typo never quietly flips your trade.

OPTIONS BY THE CONTRACT
The Options Calculator sizes bought calls and puts by premium, at 100 shares per contract. Leave the stop blank to treat the whole premium as the risk.

PROFIT TARGETS IN R
See the 1R, 2R and 3R prices and the profit at each. Enter your own take-profit and RiskCalc shows its reward-to-risk ratio.

A JOURNAL THAT KEEPS SCORE IN R
Save any calculation to the Journal with its ticker and your notes, or add a trade by hand. Close it at your exit price, all at once or in pieces, and RiskCalc records the profit or loss and the result in R. Track your win rate, total R and average R per trade, and open More Stats for profit factor, your biggest wins and losses, and each month's trades. Edit any trade, including its result.

BUILT FOR THE ORDER SCREEN
Big − and + buttons nudge prices a cent at a time; hold them to move faster. Light and dark mode, adjustable haptics, and full support for larger text. Your account size and risk setting are remembered between launches.

YOUR NUMBERS STAY YOURS
Your journal lives on your iPhone and backs up to your own private iCloud, so it follows you to a new device. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. RiskCalc works fully offline and never sends us anything you enter.

RiskCalc is an educational calculator, not financial advice. It does arithmetic on the numbers you type in. Real losses can be larger than calculated because of slippage, gaps, fees and margin.
