What lurks in Hackamore Bluff? Did you really expect me to lapse into a spoiler alert and tell you? Friendly Fox would kill me! In order to solve the mystery, and find out if the evil is spectral or perpetrated by man , you will have to purchase this thrilling adventure. It is exciting and fast-paced, and you will absolutely enjoy it! Remember, the year is ending, and if you want to see more Mad Head games distributed in 2025, you have to purchase and play this one. You won’t be disappointed. I made this deal with Friendly Fox for a reason. Thank goodness it wasn’t with Oleg, who did not follow through with EIPIX. What regrets I have! In any event, I can’t influence Oleg to do the right thing. So be excited about Mad Head! Usually a game will say how many there are to collect in certain scenes so you know but in this game you don’t know so you just have to keep searching around to find these skulls. Good luck.I’m going back into the game just to find skulls. Great graphics and plenty of game play for me (I hate to use hints). The puzzles and HOs were sometimes unique - a nice surprise these days. I had some issues with touch sensitivity, mostly in the HOs). Too many of the scenes were too dark, even with my iPad at max brightness. The final scene in the bonus game blew me away. Hackamore Bluff is a “Real” Treat! *2024-12-15* “Honey, I’m home! Hello?” Wouldn’t it be sweet to pay a surprise visit to your darling husband, only to find yourself surprised at the startling realization of his inexplicable disappearance. Things get more intense and suspicious when the township’s locals act in denial to his existence or whereabouts. In response, you spring into action, taking on the role of a novice sleuth, and delve into solving the mystery. Along the way, you often refer to your notebook which records your objectives and important clues to solve puzzles. The exposition of the plot entails a deadly cocktail of psychologically chilling suspense and creepy supernatural overtones. The foreboding, sinister ambiance gives rise to bloodcurdling moments of apprehension. The gameplay provided a welcome challenge at times; it took me some time to get out of the hotel, as well as other conundrums. I have to admit this is obviously an old game, dating back to a 2018 PC/MAC release. Thus, the gameplay isn’t updated to the expected levels of creativity prevalent in most games today. The inventory items lacked innovative interaction, and you carry some of the items for a prolonged time. The HOS mostly comprise word lists with minimal interactive elements, such as a few embedded puzzles. The puzzles suit your objectives in progress; they are simple to solve. The collectibles are tedious to find, as they are very well camouflaged within the environments. I found there were some frequent touch sensitivity issues when placing objects into the scenes. To sum it up, the game was still a pleasure to play, even with the old-school style of gameplay and some touch-sensitive issues. MadHead fans will enjoy it. I thank Friendly Fox for continuing to release these wonderful games for their dedicated fan base. I actually started it again because I forgot about the trademark “swirl” that’s supposed to be hiding in every scene. Trouble is, I can’t find them at all! If they aren’t supposed to be there, why is there a space left for them on the bottom? I know some of you aren’t into finding them, but I enjoy it!
