Very frustrating when it gives you the wrong description and you have to tap several times before you get a response. Also the bonus game doesn’t work properly, I got stuck on the shipyard and it wouldn’t let me do anything. Couldn’t even finish the game! Very disappointing for a Big Fish game. I suggest that you don’t waste your money like I did! ### 4/5 — Rite of Passage: The LostTides *2023-05-08, version 1.0.0* Great game if glitches were fixed. Had to switch to Match 3 to finish the Hop. The story was great! Lots of interaction. One of the best games I played in a long time. My Sister also felt the same about game. ### 3/5 — Not up to par *2020-12-31, version 1.0.0* The story was disjointed and the villain was some unknown entity that you don’t encounter until the end. It started off being about mermaids, then a portal, and finally a beacon. It’s like 3 people wrote a different story and they got mashed up together. The bonus game was better than the main game, I liked the card game in that part. Throughout the game I kept finding myself wishing it was over. And I really don’t like busywork, such as tapping a rock 3 times to make it break, or pulling on a sword 3 times to get it unstuck, or moving 3 bottles to get to the item behind it...see a pattern here? That’s just time wasting to make the game longer. There was one creative hop, where you fish for the items. The extras were cool. I hate the “treasure hunt” at the end of some games, where you find one object per scene. But I had to do it to get to the extra hop, which then unlocks an arcade style game. The puzzle you put together after finding all the seashells was neat. All in all, the bonus game and the extras were okay, the main game was tedious. Rating of 2.5 stars bumped up to 3 for the extras. ### 2/5 — Odd *2018-04-21, version 1.0.0* I'm not sure I like this game. It's a bit odd. Put the animals where they belong when they are overlapping one another? Yawn. Match the cards and put them where they belong? Duh! Stitch the seams? Really? The game has lovely graphics, to be sure, but is the game fun? The free selection was over quickly and I didn't like what I saw. In an attempt to be different from other games, the developers forgot an important element, enjoyment. I enjoy hidden object adventures, and buy them often. This is not what I expected, nor is it what I wanted. It's too innovative to fit the criteria I want in my games. I'll pass. 2 years later, I tried again. I STILL dislike this game. It wouldn’t let me continue further once I got to the plane. Since you can’t reset the game, I had to uninstall the game and reinstall it which meant I had to start the whole game over again which I was fine with but when I pushed the “already purchased button”, it said the purchase was never made from my account which it definitely was. I’m not paying for it again! I usually love these games but with all these issues on this one, I’m left very disappointed and frustrated. ### 1/5 — POORLY DONE NOT FUN OR INTERISTING *2020-06-05, version 1.0.0* do not buy this ### 1/5 — Well, the game ending glitch is STILL THERE *2017-12-07, version 1.0.0* And I'm angry at myself for not remembering the issue and attempting to work around it, because I read the very helpful review from the person who pointed out that you had to have both navigation items before boarding the seaplane. Not only is the bonus chapter kaput, there appears to be no way to restart just the bonus chapter. I would have to repeat the entire game in order to correct my "mistake." Couldn't go any farther, and was so far into the game, didn't want to replay, so I deleted it. And bummed to find it had a major glitch ...which I reported and left a review describing. The glitch is mentioned in other reviews.. if you get on the seaplane without getting both navigation items first, you get stuck and unable to continue game. I decided to play the game again and be careful of this glitch. When I went to download as "already purchased", it states there is no record of my purchase. When I look under the games in the App Store...my review is gone too. So is big fish deleting negative reviews? And deleting records of purchase so customers are less likely or unable to re-post reviews? Very FISHY Big Fish ### 1/5 — Nul *2016-02-12, version 1.0.0* Jeu trop facile et en plus il y a un but ont se retrouve sans rien pouvoir faire dans le chapitre bonus au niveau de prendre l avion avec le pilote impossible de lui donner les coordonnées pour décoller. ### 1/5 — Too easy, too short, can't finish due to bug *2016-02-07, version 1.0.0* I've loved other Big Fish/Madhead games I've done in the past, but this one was a huge disappointment. I'd expected to spend a couple of days on this, and it only took me a couple of hours.Puzzles weren't challenging, and there were way too many that required figuring out the difference between complex abstract shapes. It also included a test-your-reflexes game requiring you to steer a little boat between rocks from an overhead view without crashing it. I LOATHE those types of games -- if I wanted to play arcade games, I'd have bought an arcade game. Finally, they actually ported this game into iOS without fixing a bug that was reported by desktop users when it first came out in May 2015 : in the bonus game, if you don't pick up an object you need from the tavern to calibrate coordinates before you get on the seaplane, you're stuck and can't finish the game.
