### 3/5 — No Support

*2018-11-21, version 2.3.1*

Great app; but USGS terminated some gauges and set some new ones, so I emailed the developer weeks ago to advise them to reconfig the data collection points to active gauges, but no response. Unfortunate as the function of the app is great.

### 3/5 — Great interface, missing stations/sites

*2017-08-31, version 2.3.1*

I like the interface and format of the data presented, but does not have all the stations/sites that I can easily locate on the web in my area (CO).

### 2/5 — Good Info, Bad Interface

*2015-05-17, version 2.1.5*

Let me start by saying that this app has some really useful info. It seems to have all of the river gages I need in my area. The downside is the UI. When you try to pull up the map, sometimes it will only show part of the map in the upper left corner and be missing the top of the map. The best way I know how to describe it is as if the map is positioned wrong and should be moved down and to the right to make the whole thing show up.

### 4/5 — Map update

*2015-01-20, version 2.1.1*

I really like the map update, have been waiting for this feature. Tried to map direction to several rivers, but found Apple map works better than Google.

### 5/5 — Best features yet!

*2015-01-14, version 2.1.0*

I LOVE the new map section that was just added. It makes it perfect for people who are traveling outside their normal area and are not sure what bodies of water are near them but still want to be able to check before they head out. Well done guys!!

### 5/5 — The best free river app.

*2014-11-06, version 2.0.2*

I took a few tries but I finally found the free river app that I was looking for! Instantly pulls up usgs data from any station. Cfs and height included. This is just what I have been searching for and found it! Thanks!!!

### 5/5 — Great app!!!!

*2014-10-24, version 2.0.2*

App is great we wade and drift a lot of rivers this is the go to site. Support is great!! Quick response with questions. Another tool in the fly fishing vest!

### 2/5 — Suggestion

*2014-06-02, version 1.0.5*

I fly fish in colorado and it is alright for what I need but it misses a lot of major gauging stations. Especially on the south platte, the colorado and many others.

### 5/5 — Data

*2014-04-12, version 1.0.5*

This is the best app I have found for the job of keeping you updated on the h2o stats

### 2/5 — buggy still

*2014-01-23, version 1.0.5*

I've had this app for many months. The data is useful and well formatted, but it crashes or fails to load more than once every time I try to use it. Need to fix loading issues!

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2013-10-16, version 1.0.5*

Glad to give the first review! I'm giving this app 5 stars because it has made my 68 year old neighbor so happy. He is transitioning from a PC to iPhone, and he needed a way to check the water levels of local rivers to plan his fishing trips. I was afraid he would have to fumble through safari to find this data, but luckily I came across this awesome app that puts all the USGS data at his fingertips!

It does have room for improvement but I'm sure that will be addressed in future updates.

The biggest thing I can see right now is that a full screen view for the chart is needed. Maybe a fit to screen option if you turn the phone sideways. That would make it easier to read while charting over a period of time.

Thanks for the great app!

### 1/5 — Just stopped working

*2023-02-12, version 2.3.1*

An app that I used for kayaking all the time. Very useful tool. When it was up, it was great. Then it just all the sudden stopped working. When you try and go to a state, it kicks you out of the app. Hopefully this can be corrected. Gotta find a new app for the mean time.

**Developer response:** The app is working again. Apple someone crippled the app because my developer account was not up to date.

### 1/5 — App don’t work.

*2023-01-21, version 2.3.1*

App don’t work. Used to work great but just one day it decided it’s not gonna work anymore I have no idea why. . I tried everything. Even sent an email to app creator but no response. Hopefully app creator responds here. Very frustrated

**Developer response:** The app is working again. Apple someone crippled the app because my developer account was not up to date.

### 1/5 — River data

*2022-10-04, version 2.3.1*

It doesn’t work on IOS 16

### 1/5 — Please update the App!

*2022-09-16, version 2.3.1*

When you want to choose the state it kicks you off the App.

**Developer response:** The app is working again. Apple someone crippled the app because my developer account was not up to date.

### 1/5 — Crapy update

*2014-08-22, version 2.0.0*

Use to work great now wth update doesn't work at all favorites all gone can't get them back it crashes every time!!!!! Thanks for a great update :(

### 1/5 — App is ruined after update!!

*2014-08-21, version 2.0.0*

Favorites were lost.
Favorite button moved from right to center. App crashes when try to look at any stream.

### 1/5 — Crash and dump

*2014-08-20, version 2.0.0*

I would give it zero if I could. First, I had multiple saved gauges as favorites and in the new update it dumped ALL of them. Lastly, whenever I try to access a river gauge the app freezes, crashes, and closes. Completely useless as of now.

### 1/5 — Slow, clunky interface, no way to filter gages

*2014-03-08, version 1.0.5*

Slow, clunky interface, no way to filter gages.

### 1/5 — Limited Data

*2013-01-12, version 1.0.1*

App does not provide all sources of data at stations it monitors. Specifically for CO where I live. I know what data is available from the stations I looked at and the app only showed partial info. Also does not tap into all available stations on our local rivers.

### 2/5 — Crashes immediately when pressing a state

*2023-03-11*

This app crashes as soon as I try to select a state. It used to work. I don’t know what happened. It works OK on my iPad but not my phone

**Developer response:** The app is working again. Apple someone crippled the app because my developer account was not up to date.

### 5/5 — My “go to” Fishing App

*2023-09-23*

I’ve consistently used River Data for the last 8 years. I’ve tried many, but this app provides all the essential information around CFS, water temperatures, gauge height and turbidity. I literally do not head out on the water without checking the River Data first.

The information in this app have transformed the way I fish, the rivers I choose on any given day and how I plan before venturing out. Thank you River Data for providing a vital source of information to maximize my fishing experiences!!

### 5/5 — Great update

*2023-09-21*

Thanks for keeping the app alive. It’s great to monitor my favorite swimming spots

### 5/5 — Easy to use!

*2023-09-16*

Easiest app to use to get access to all of USGS River gauges. I use it to monitor the flow and depth of my favorite kayaking and swimming holes.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-09-16*

Much easier than the USGS website.

### 5/5 — Much easier thatn the USGS website

*2022-09-12, version 2.3.1*

Easy to search and favorite sites.

### 5/5 — Best River Flow App.

*2019-04-30, version 2.3.1*

The highest rated app does not have all the river gages like this one. For me, this app is superior, easy to use and has all the data you need

### 5/5 — New update graphs not updating

*2016-06-07, version 2.3.1*

Just an FYI to developers. Update on 6/7/16 gauge graphs are stuck at 6/5/16 and app is not fetching graph data. First app I go to on the morning! Great app always recommend to clients

### 5/5 — Perfect for Paddling!!

*2015-05-06, version 2.1.5*

Best app ever. All the information I could need to watch watch water levels and each update makes it better and better. Get it now if you paddle!!!!

### 5/5 — A must have for Paddlers!

*2015-04-11, version 2.1.2*

Great app for easily dialing in on the river and closest gauge to where you'll be going on the water. Quick scrolling between date ranges for historical data up to 120 days. Both CFS and gauge height graphs with links to maps and driving directions.
Delivers what it says and very much worth the price.
You can also build a list of favorites by just tapping a star on the upper right when you're checking out a river! Great feature.
Responsive tech support that actually gets back to you if you have questions.
5 Stars!!!

### 5/5 — Useful app

*2015-02-11, version 2.1.2*

With the ability to create favorites, Riverdata makes it easy to re-visit the rivers you want to track. It shows all USGS measures at each location (sometimes that's only the depth). I'd give it 5 stars but it has recently lost the ability to show any time span other than the default 7 days. It used to be able to show any number between 1-119 days. When that is fixed, I'll add the fifth star.

Update: The developer said the problem was with USGS, contacted them, and reported back that the issue was resolved--and it was. All in one day, so 5 stars.
