## Newest reviews (13 of 76)

### 2/5 — Lack of information

*2025-11-25, version 1.6*

The app doesn’t allow the user to graph data beyond 7 days. No option to see rain gauge data or water turbidity.

### 2/5 — Too complex if you just want basic data

*2025-06-18*

The information I’m sure is amazing, but the app is ridiculously complex and requires the knowledge of the developer! There should be a cheat sheet/cliff notes on how to get started if you just want basic information in your area.

### 4/5 — Great app, needs to allow more push notifications

*2025-05-05, version 1.5*

I really like this app and its’ ability to alert me to high water driving route changes.
However, the push notifications are limited to just eight. I drive far and wide, and removing the maximum 8 notifications would be most helpful.

### 4/5 — I wish for naming options

*2025-04-05, version 1.4*

I’d like the ability to name the gauges.

### 3/5 — Pretty good. Needs a few things.

*2024-12-07*

Wish you had option to toggle the graphs between cfs and feet like you can on website. Not really understanding the sort function in the favorites tab. Can’t seem to sort by stream name.

### 2/5 — Please fix

*2024-08-01, version 1.4*

In order to pay for an app it needs to have all the gauge stations, I need “ Lake Pelba” and Lake Dautrieve or lake Fosse point that is the main ones I look at everyday

### 3/5 — Cool but

*2024-07-05, version 1.4*

Cool but wish I could organize the gauges I follow

### 4/5 — Alert customization needed

*2024-06-30, version 1.4*

Cool, simple app. It'd be amazing to have the option to customize alert thresholds

### 2/5 — Gauges have disappeared

*2024-05-29, version 1.3*

I have only had this app on my phone for 24 hours and the single river gauge I need to see and have saved has completely disappeared and will not come up to even see anymore.

### 2/5 — Waste of money for me’

*2024-05-21, version 1.3*

The app did not have data for the ONE location that I bought it for! Useless for me. Would have given 1 star but I’m holding out there’s a chance that they will add the location I need!

### 2/5 — Web page is Better

*2024-04-28, version 1.2*

I naught it thinking this would be a quicker way to catch current river flows but the data seems to be lagging the USGS website by a few hours and the graph is NOAA rather than USGS.
Deleting after 5 min of trying it.

### 4/5 — Very nice, as far as it goes

*2023-08-18*

This is a nice app, one of the better ones as far as data is concerned. However, it lacks in two areas.

1. It needs the option to reorder your list of gauges, or it should at least keep the gauges on the same river together.

2. It would be nice if it also had a widget for those of us who keep a closer eye on water levels.

### 1/5 — Waste of money!!

*2023-06-29, version 1.1.11*

Does not display any gauges I use. Waste of money!!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No good

*2026-06-08, version 1.7*

Can’t get turbidity gauges. Can’t look up gauges via list. Waste of 3$ wish I could get a refund.

### 1/5 — Not Performing as Advertised

*2026-03-14, version 1.7*

The app only displays NOAA hydrograph for my local gages. Does not display forecasts for stage, flow, or volume. Does not display data history for stage or flow on any of my local rivers. The subtitle for the app says “USGS River Level and Flows” but I’m not getting any data from USGS for my local gages. I regret spending money on this app.

### 1/5 — No reading

*2025-11-05, version 1.6*

There are no gauges for the Tuck in Sylva NC or Cullowhee

### 1/5 — Just awful

*2025-04-20, version 1.4*

Don’t waste your time or $3.

### 1/5 — Limited

*2025-03-24, version 1.4*

Not much relevant data

### 1/5 — Waste

*2025-02-28, version 1.4*

Wish I had my money back. No flow levels

### 1/5 — Not for whitewater rafters or kayakers

*2024-05-12, version 1.2*

Way too few raftable river sections included. I only checked California rivers, like the Kern, Merced, Toulumne. Not useful to me.

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2024-02-15, version 1.1.12*

Don’t buy this app.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money!

*2023-12-31, version 1.1.12*

It doesn’t have any more gauges than the free ones. And you buy it, check to see if the river you are after is on.. it’s not and you are out 3 bucks.

### 1/5 — Lost All My Saved Gauges

*2023-06-29*

I was very happy with this app until today when I tried to check some levels. All but one of my saved gauges were gone, including the most important one. I sent an email to the developer but haven’t heard back yet. The app is essentially useless to me if this doesn’t get fixed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Automated Advisories

*2026-07-08, version 1.8*

This app is lifesaving!
It can automatically inform me if my access to and from my destination is under water.
Awesome!

### 5/5 — Potomac River

*2026-06-24, version 1.8*

Very pleased with the information presentation on this app. Now use it exclusively for water levels and flow on the Potomac River near Harpers Ferry. I fish regularly downstream and rely on it. Thank you

### 5/5 — Love This

*2026-02-26, version 1.7*

We live in a flood zone and this app is so helpful and informative! Thank you for creating this!

### 5/5 — All you need, nothing you don’t.

*2026-01-09*

I use this at work and find it to be an excellent source of information. They even have the smaller systems that are omitted from other apps.

### 5/5 — Landscape mode for iPads!

*2025-10-07, version 1.5*

Nice app overall and it does support landscape mode for iPads sitting in a keyboard! I recommend this app.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-11-28, version 1.4*

Great app so far. Will definitely be able to use this fishing, hunting and trapping!

### 5/5 — River graft

*2024-07-11, version 1.4*

Don't change i love it. Thanks

### 5/5 — So far so good….

*2023-02-21, version 1.1.11*

Magically it appeared without my downloading it. I’ll let you know how it shakes out though.

### 5/5 — Rapid reply to question & app works great!

*2022-06-30*

I’m so lucky to have 4 rivers within a 10-30 minute shuttle! They’re small but beautiful, and my friends and I paddle them as often as possible. The smallest one is rain-sensitive and another is dam-controlled, so I always check their USGS gauge levels before setting out, to get an idea of how long our trip will be.

When I got this app, I was disappointed bc I couldn’t see these small local gauges, and I emailed support that I might want a refund. THEN they pointed out the filter buttons to turn on to see more gauges, and there they were!

Thanks from this 69 yo grandmom for saving me time when I’m ready to paddle!

### 5/5 — Great for barge traffic

*2022-04-21*

As a towboat captain this is the app weve been looking for. Has gauges with current NOAA links/applicable stages for any river. Upper/Lower/Illinois/Ohio etc. The only recommendation I’d have would be linking it with historic gauges/having a tab for that. Super useful and easy to use, 5 stars for sure
