### 3/5 — “Premium”

*2026-06-10, version 6.02*

Seems like this should be free for all of the taxes we’ve paid. We built and own those reporting stations, after all.

### 4/5 — Graph

*2026-03-07, version 5.40*

I would like you to consider projecting out a few days from the actual date of what the level is going to be. The Cedar River has a lot of recreational use.

### 5/5 — Great App for river levels.

*2025-04-05, version 5.21*

We live in a flood plain that floods often. Over the last 5 years I’ve been using this app to keep tabs on where the levels are. I know from using the app exactly when water will enter my home. I can use the app at night when I can’t see what’s coming. Thank you Rivercast for the peace of mind that you give me.

### 5/5 — Happy but ...

*2025-03-21, version 5.19*

Any chance in the future upgrades could water temps be shone also? Have been using it for a long time. It is still a great tool to plan your day on the water.

### 4/5 — Cumberland River

*2025-02-16, version 5.17*

Thank you for this app. Living on
the Cumberland keeps you on your toes
as it fluctuates constantly 5’ to 10’ on many days. During possible flooding times this app will be priceless.
Betty. WHY ISN'T THERE A GAGE AT BRILEY PARKWAY BRIDGE ⁉️⁉️. IT IS MUCH NEEDED. 16 miles between Omahandra
and Stones River ‼️Opryland and thousands of people inbetween.

### 1/5 — Gone

*2025-09-01, version 5.24*

What happened to Hwy 33 by Portage?

### 1/5 — Do better

*2024-07-29, version 5.07*

Can’t rely on a app that doesn’t update in die time!

### 1/5 — No forecast

*2024-05-07, version 5.04*

I purchased the app to see a forecast on the Smith River in Montana. This app doesn’t forecast that river. I’d like a refund please

### 1/5 — Not Worth the Price

*2024-04-04, version 4.11*

This app is basically highway robbery trying to charge 9$ a year for access to what is publicly available and free data. Do yourself a favor and just go to NOAA website directly through Safari and look up the waterway or dam you wish to get water level readings from and then just save that page as a bookmark to your Home Screen on your phone for future quick lookups. The data is 100% free and publicly available, and the NOAA website will show you graphs and future water level timelines in excess of a week out for FREE. Don’t let this app sucker you into paying extra each year to get more than 30 hours of data. The NOAA website itself is actually more robust and easier to read than this app, with more granular control over the FREE data available.

### 1/5 — Have to pay for each device?

*2022-08-11, version 3.68*

I paid for premium and it will only allow me to save more than one favorite on one device. I have multiple favorites saved on my iPhone and when it try to do the same on other devices it tells me I must pay for another subscription.

If this is the way this app is suppose to work it is a ripoff.

### 1/5 — Rivercast

*2022-06-13, version 3.67*

I would like to observe more than one or two days on my phone screen.

### 1/5 — Charging for free data

*2022-05-26, version 3.66*

It seems silly to pay for data that is free. River flows really don’t change much over a 30 hour time period. I’ll take the extra time to just google the USGS data that is free and dates back for years.

### 1/5 — Waste Of Money

*2018-06-16*

Paid for premium to see forecasting of river at my cabin knowing a flood was coming. Premium gave me no additional data!!! Pretty bad when another free app included the forecasting data as provided online by the Advanced Hydrolic Prediction Service. Complete waste of $5 for me and a reason why we should be allowed to try apps before buying.

UPDATE: This app developer took two weeks to respond with a lame blanket statement that provided no help. Another River app developer contacted me in days and worked with me via email to identify the issue with the missing data.

**Developer response:** All AHPS forecast data available is included in the Premium edition of this app. Sometimes AHPS forecasts are only issued intermittently. Please contact us directly, and we'll work to resolve your problem.

### 2/5 — Forecast

*2026-06-22, version 6.02*

Forecast has been terrible

### 2/5 — Favorite locations

*2025-06-25, version 5.07*

Why would I select favorite locations? Even with premium account, favorite locations only show real time data! I can’t see 30 hrs ahead or behind unless I go to the map and search for it! If you can address that I will rewrite my review.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — USGS stream gage information

*2026-07-10, version 6.03*

Easy to use and provides (1) streamgage locatios on the map and (2) ongoing data from the individual USGS stream gages.uptown date information

### 5/5 — USGS stream gage information

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-04-22, version 5.44*

Been using this app for a long while now. Very useful in the towboating world.

### 5/5 — Need this for fishing

*2026-03-30, version 5.42*

I fish at a spillway at a dam and this app is great knowing the water levels and the current coming out of the spillway. Too low, the fish can’t swim up. When too high, you can’t keep your bait in the water as the current is too fast for a 5 ounce weight.

### 5/5 — Excellent and accurate information

*2026-03-29, version 5.42*

We are farmers in Western Missouri bottom and second terrace farmland. The information provided is highly accurate and essential for us. Thank you!

### 5/5 — On the River

Great app. Comes in handy with my kayaking 🛶

### 5/5 — Security ! ! !

*2026-03-12, version 5.41*

Living as close as our house is to the Licking River, knowing the depth and direction of water level takes the surprise effect out of the conversation. Preparedness starts with that ‘gauge at Bluelicks. Thank you very much ACofE !

### 5/5 — Alabama River updates
