I tried to contact the Help representative, but it’s difficult to send a message since there is no send button. I did speak to someone one time. And they told me to do all these things I did them and still no lifetime channel. They told me if it persist to get back in touch with them. I try today to get in touch with them and it’s impossible to send a message RiverTV. This is way too buggy to be used on a daily basis. And the fact that you can't even fast-forward on-demand content (and I'm not talking about recent, prime time shows, but a 10 year old obscure reality tv show on the Slice channel...) River support says "they are working hard to secure the rights" (to offer the fast-forward option), but the weird part is, NONE of their competitors have this issue. I get it, you don't want us to fast-forward so we're forced to watch the ads, but it completely kills the user experience of casually surfing on-demand content I really wanted to root for RiverTV but they've had years to resolve issues, and the app is as buggy as ever, freezes often, or needs to be restarted constantly - when none of the other apps I use have any of these issues on my brand new iPad Pro with fast internet connection. The River app keeps accumulating new bugs and not resolving old bugs, and support, while kind, can only keep repeating "we are working hard on it!" Sorry, but I will not wait anymore - time for StackTV. ### 2/5 — On demand episodes take years, Apple TV app glitchy *2025-05-13, version 1.16.2.2077* I purchased this as an alternative to Stack TV, but will likely go back. On demand episodes are not available until days after release. Not acceptable at all. And the on demand function on the app is often inoperable, requiring one to restart the Apple TV. I was gonna switch to StackTv after my trial is over and I probably will because half the time the app doesn’t work and I have to restart it or change the channel and then go back to what I was previously watching and then it works. Customer service is lacking. Sure StackTV has less channels but that is okay as the same channels I watch on RiverTV when it works is also on StackTV. ### 1/5 — Not worth the hassle. *2025-03-20, version 1.16.2.2077* Like the concept, however it is constantly freezing, and now won’t play any live TV. I have installed and uninstalled. Couple of times, signed out signed back in. Just does the same thing. I canceled my Prime account and this is the perfect selection of channels that are in my interest. Made by Canadians for Canadians. My only disappointment is not being able to stream to my Chromecast device on my bedroom TV. Otherwise, I’m a happy Canuck. The price is very high especially when considering the competition. I watched the first few episodes and the commercials were there, but Short. Just right in my opinion. The latest episode was so painful to watch, I stopped. The commercials never end. I login and it says subscription cancelled July 2022. My credit card company won’t stop the payment. HOWEVER. i have been locked out of my account for weeks, unable to view my profile or access via desktop to, say, unsubscribe? and i know what you’re thinking “oh that’s probably just a glitch! why don’t you reach out to them for technical support?” well, it’s because RIVERTV DOES NOT OFFER SUPPORT. they have NO contact button. they have NO email address or telephone number. they are charging me $20 a month and i can’t even log in. buyer beware! i’ll never recommend them again knowing they straight up don’t care about their customers’ experiences ### 1/5 — Frustrated! *2025-12-22, version 1.16.6.2201* I signed up for a free trial with RiverTV but never received any login credentials or temporary password, so I was unable to access the service, confirm my account, or cancel the trial before it converted to a paid subscription. Because I never had access, I didn’t even know for certain that my account was active until I noticed a charge on my credit card after the trial ended. At that point, I tried to contact RiverTV and discovered there is no visible email address, phone number, or live chat support. I eventually had to message them through Facebook just to get a response. Despite explaining that I never received access credentials and was therefore unable to use or cancel the service, RiverTV refused to issue a refund, citing their non-refundable policy once billing occurs — even though the lack of access was entirely on their end. This experience felt unfair and frustrating. A trial subscription should provide basic access and reasonable customer support. I would caution others to be very careful before entering payment details, as resolving issues afterward may be difficult or impossible. ### 1/5 — Scammers *2025-12-18, version 1.16.6.2201* Don’t download their free trial! I canceled this the day after I got it on my phone and then they charged me anyways and said I didn’t cancel it on their website. They literally make you cancel in multiple spots and refuse to refund you! I have wasted an hour trying to lol in. ### 1/5 — APP IS FULLY BROKEN *2025-12-11, version 1.16.5.2180* The sign-in page is completely broken, when creating an account on the web and signing in via google its supposed to email you your password to sign in on the app. No email received. Was supposed to get an email with initial password to access. Never got the email. Tried to reset atleast 30 times. No email, yet I get emails from them on what’s streaming. Called every number I can find for them and tried all emails no one can help. Can someone please contact me to fix this problem. I searched to see what channels they offered and it was exactly what I watch so I decided to give it a try. For some reason Apple TV never plays I get a message there’s a problem they are tying to fix. On demand works. On one phone works fine, the other won’t log in. When I log in online with browser it says I don’t have a subscription. I’m so confused as to how to manage this ap through Apple.
