I’m all in for love stories. And what’s better than getting to play a small role in one? That’s basically what being a matcher on Rivet feels like. There’s something genuinely fun about spotting chemistry between two strangers and quietly playing cupid from the sidelines. If even one match turns into something meaningful, I’ll take that as a win.

I’ve only been on the app a couple of days and love the concept. However, I’m not convinced a lot of the profiles aren’t fake- SO many people seem to work at the same hospital, which I can’t find online. Also, it keeps asking me to pair straight people with those of the same gender instead of what they’re looking for

Cringe AI avatars
I'm as pro-AI as anyone you'll meet. I use it professionally and there may be issues with it overall but it's the future and we should embrace it. The way they took my round face and skinny body and replaced it with basically an obese person as my avatar was so incredibly jarring and their response was so condescending. It was shocking.

I was hoping maybe they learned from the horrible way that Match Group has run but it just sounds like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Too much AI
I tried this very briefly. I do not like how much AI is used in this app. It forces you to pick an AI photo of yourself that looks nothing like you. I am not a fan of AI whatsoever. I don’t like how it auto generates everything for you. It’s a neat feature, but it doesn’t come out correctly.
