## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — Use caution - demo only - after 30 days will charge

*2023-08-07*

This was not clearly described. The app states it will charge your account after 30 days (according to the opening screen). Use caution. Pressing OK to start the trial may commit you to a $9.99 charge. Not transparent and poorly worded in description.

**Developer response:** After the 30 days trial you are ask to pay for the App. You have to approved by you. There isn't and automatic charge.

### 4/5 — Full Access Granted MESSAGE

*2025-02-04*

I keep receiving a message from time to time informing “life time purchase” but with button to click “ok”. If purchase is for life time and paid for why I keep receiving the message on the calculator screen forcing me to click ok? Pls advice. On else, it is a great product— Tks

### 4/5 — What happened to the left arrow key?

*2025-01-05*

I loved the first version of this calculator! Then when I upgraded, I lost the left arrow key so my only option when I miskey a number is to hit CLX and reenter the whole number - what a pain in large numbers!!! Why was the left
Arrow removed!! Bring it back!!!! I hate the CLx key.

### 4/5 — Great app - issue with Logitech MX Keyboard

*2024-11-01*

This is a great app. Wish it stayed free like others.
The ENTER key on Logitech MX Keyboard doesn't work. Have to use the Return key to enter values.

### 4/5 — Bug on 1/x Key

*2024-09-28*

The inverse X value result hardly comes up after a simple press on the key. Try to insert any valeu and ask 1/x to calculate, hardly ever you get the result immediately. Sometimes after many tries you get it, normally nothing. Once I decided to hold and release the 1/x key to see its behavior, so the bug had apparently gone away, but for a few tries, more attempts and then it was back again. Right now it’s not working.

**Developer response:** We couldn't reproduce any 1/X problem. Please check if the problem is the same in Portrait and Landscape layout. Maybe there is dirt or malfunction of the device screen in the are where the button is.

### 4/5 — Portrait orientation doesn’t work on iPad

*2023-10-15*

Very nice calculator. Only issues I’ve seen are that portrait orientation doesn’t work on my iPad and show registers doesn’t work (shows briefly, then disappears). Issues aren’t deal breakers. Calc worth the money.

**Developer response:** In the iPad, the portrait layout is shown only if you have a Split View that reduces significantly the width of the app respect to the height available. The default and preferred layout is landscape as the real world HP-12C.
About the Registers, they are shown if the option is set to ON in the Preferences (g PREF) and no menu is shown in the screen side area (toggle with the OPT key).

### 4/5 — Show registers doesn’t work on iPad.

*2023-08-03*

Show’s briefly but then disappears. Works fine on iPhone.

### 5/5 — What happened to the left arrow key?

*2025-01-10*

This is a Great calculator. I thought that the left arrow key had been replaced by the CLX key, but I found out that there are options to set the behavior of the key. Everything is great again!!

### 5/5 — Great Calculator

*2023-12-20*

This is a great calculator. It has more functions than I’ll ever use. It is well worth $9.99.

### 5/5 — 12C emulator stands the rest of time

*2022-07-31*

I first began using RLM’s HP emulators when I purchased my first iPhone; that has to be at least 10 years ago. The app has continuously evolved and been updated for compatibility with larger displays and OS requirements. I’ve tried at least five 12C emulators and have always returned to this app because there is no lag with data entry, calculations are fast, and I’ve yet to find a bug. My questions to the developer have always been responded to quickly and in an enthusiastic manner.
I don’t mind paying annual subscriptions for the apps that being me value. It should have been obvious to Apple when App Store was in its infancy that one-time purchases of apps for $0.99 would not create a sustainable business model for developers which explains the sea of abandonware that resulted. This app is a small price to pay to keep it sustainable and compensate the developer for his efforts. I highly recommend it.

**Developer response:** Thank you very much for your rating. It encourage us to build top quality and usable calculators for iOS.
