Minor glitches, and stops were slightly off. Reward was delivered as promised, but did have to wait a week or two. ### 1/5 — Intrusive and dangerous! *2024-11-24, version 2024.11.0* Used the app for several days after notification of a state-sponsored travel survey. Found the question s to be very intrusive and of no value to the state. Appears to be a thinly veiled attempt to track movement for future taxation schemes. Disappointing ### 2/5 — Too much time and personal info *2024-11-14, version 2024.09.1* I couldn’t even make it past the first three days of the week-long transportation survey because I got so weirded out by the sheer amount of and depth of information they needed about me. Wayyy too much PII. Very complicated surveys for each trip with no estimate of how long it’ll take to complete too. I really wanted to complete it but it felt invasive and not worth the $20. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-10-31, version 2024.09.1* I was supposed to use this for a certain amount of days. The app kicked me out (logged me out at some point) and all the work I had done was gone. Then I tried to get back into the survey and it said it was too late. Huh?! So you’re telling me all the driving I did and confirming my trips was all for nothing?! What a waste! ### 2/5 — Survey that’s not upfront. *2024-10-01, version 2024.09.1* Started to fill out a survey for Travel Mass, thinking they just want to ask a few questions. After many questions later they require tracking your movement via this app? Very deceptive to not mention this upfront. Awful in terms of privacy. Poorly designed UX and product management. Told friends who also receive the mailing postcard to avoid this survey. ### 1/5 — Scam no reward upon completion *2024-06-13, version 2024.05.2* Did the 7 day tracking and surveys and completed it but never received my $25 gift card reward. Tried contacting support email but received no response either. A big waste of time and personal data given for nothing. ### 2/5 — Poor performance *2024-06-10, version 2024.05.2* So does not scale to the number of concurrent users, so frequently just opening the dashboard results in watching the spinner for you to 60 seconds… ### 4/5 — Yay for improving transportation options and safety! *2024-06-05* rMove worked well as I recorded my daily movements to fulfill a MassDoT survey. I’m an avid user of public transportation and have no car and I believe in making public transportation, bike lanes, sidewalks, etc work for everyone! The app was easy to use and generally captured my travels accurately. There are some small improvements that could be made in user interface, survey-question clarity, and movement tracking, but nothing that made using the app too difficult. I was prompted to send data. Phone is connected to the internet and when I have continuously hit send date- get an error over a 2 day period. You are given, if you jump through all the hoops, the promise of a gift card. I did all the surveys, but then was told it wasn’t enough. How am I to blame when the app thinks March has only 30 days… You also must surrender a significant amount of personal data. I foolishly participated. ### 1/5 — Super Glitchy *2025-03-29, version 2025.03.0* I unfortunately wasted a ton of time trying to troubleshoot this extremely glitchy app. I am using an iPhone 15 and it will not work for me. When I attempt to complete a survey it freezes and then closes. I tried deleting, reinstalling, restarting phone etc. I give up!! Way too much trouble. ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-03-02, version 2025.02.0* Installed the app, entered the survey code I was given, and was told it was not recognized. Apparently you also have to participate long term to get the reward, which is not disclosed prior to entering or attempting to enter the survey code. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Painless survey participation *2026-03-25* I enjoy participating surveys, but sometimes the process is so painful. This app made it simple to keep track of where I went and record details for the survey. I appreciated how, after a couple of repeat trips, the app would suggest how I would complete the entry without even having to make a selection — but also gave me the option to override the suggested responses to make it accurate. That streamlined the process for daily trips. I also thought it was helpful that you could go back and fix things that weren’t quite right from earlier trips, even a couple of days later. Was comprehensive yet easy to complete. I found the survey intelligently put together. Straight up worked, didn’t waste my time and auto guessed my movements, and when it was done it told me so. Good job. ### 5/5 — Tried to Make Surveys as Easy as Possible *2023-12-26* I appreciated that rMove recognized the patterns in my answers and would auto-fill my answers when it could. Most surveys took about 5 minutes or less. I was never confused about how to answer a survey, or what it was asking, or had an unaccounted-for answer. Yes, my battery did drain faster, but it wasn’t a significant issue for me. It was easy to contribute to a study that will hopefully make commuting easier in the long run. **Developer response:** We love to hear it! The only stumbling block is if I park my car and go to the supermarket and then walk past my car to go back to the apartment.(I live in Manhattan and drive- call me crazy.) It becomes a little hard to track everything.
