They said they’d get back to me. Months later I wrote again. This time no reply. The problem still persists with no resolution (and no response) from the developers. ### 2/5 — No Developer Response *2019-04-15* This app used to work, until I could no longer enable notifications on it, rendering it unusable. I’ve reinstalled it, reset my phone, etc. Nothing worked. Sent an email to the so-called support with my debug info and have never heard back. It’s been weeks. I sympathize with developers running into problems — they’re unavoidable and take time to fix — but the lack of communication is extremely disappointing. I can’t say for sure if the notification problem is limited to just me or not. I continue to set the timer in the hopes that it will sleep my roku but I wake up disappointed everyday when I see that bright LED light. Contacted staff and was asked to provide my IP address and when I replied with "I dont know if it would be a good idea to give a stranger my IP" (because anything can be a scam), I never got a response. ### 1/5 — Worked at first until I bought it *2017-07-19, version 1.2.0* When you download the app you get a minimal number of free uses. I used it a couple nights in a row and it worked as advertised. I decided to purchase the full app and ever since it hasn't worked once. ### 1/5 — Does not Work *2017-07-16, version 1.2.0* I recently purchased this app thinking it would be perfect for my Rokus to simulate the sleep functionto keep data to minimum when falling asleep. I was sold on the ratings but seems the newer version is broken and does not do as advertised. The app does find my 3 Roku's and I can rename them but the timers do not reset the devices to the home page as they are intended to. Don't buy unless they find a way to fix it.. If they fix it I will update my review to a better rating. ### 1/5 — Great in theory but..... *2017-06-21, version 1.2.0* The app does not work for any of my Roku Streaming Sticks. It successfully finds all of my devices, but choosing any of them and setting the sleep timer results in nothing. I even chose the 15 minute timer so I could watch it go back to the home screen after the time limit, but instead watched an hour long tv show. None of the 3 tries worked. The app did find my Roku devices. Facts / debugging information: This happened on the very first time I set the timer after I purchased the app. After setting timer I don't close out of the app but keep it running in the background Seems that when I reopen the app after timer is overdue, the app reconnects to Roku and sends the home button signal to Roku. I don’t have to get up to let my elderly mother know, that it’s time for her to lay down for sleep. So for now she knows that when it’s dark and I’m not in the room. If the TV shuts off on its own. Time for bed. I had to hide the regular remote from her. She would stay up all night. And I know some people say what’s wrong with that? Well, if that happens the next day all she does is fall down and hurt herself. So, I had to figure something out. As of right now this is working. So, Ty. ### 5/5 — Finally a solution for putting Roku to Sleep *2020-11-16* I’m glad that somebody finally took the initiative and created an app to put Rokus to sleep. This is a nice little app but I wish there was some confirmation that the sleep timer has actually started. A fixed version is now available to download. ### 5/5 — Simple yet awesome feature *2016-04-01, version 1.1.0* Update: The developer has updated this app to include 4 and 5 hour timer settings. Absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a timer for your Roku you need to download this app immediately. I have owned a Roku for many years. One of the all time largest requests from many people is to add a sleep timer to Roku. With some cable companies charging a Cap on bandwidth, one can hardly afford to fall asleep with their Roku still streaming. Ro to sleep removes that worry. Simply let the app discover your Roku units and set your timer. Once the timer ends, your Roku will return to the main menu thus stopping all streaming. This app does exactly what it says it does and has yet to fail on me. If you have been wanting a sleep timer for your Roku, this is the app to get. The timer goes as high as 180 minutes. The only wish for me would be if the timer went as high as 240 minutes. My TV goes this high and many times it is this timer I choose for my TV. ### 4/5 — App is crashing when I try to purchase for unltd *2020-02-16* Love the app and used it with great results for the first 3 nights then when it came time to purchase the unlimited use the app keeps crashing. If it weren’t for that I’d be using it and loving it still! **Developer response:** This has hopefully been fixed now (better late than never!). ### 4/5 — Works so far.. *2016-04-12* I've been searching for something to time-out my Roku to avoid bandwidth overages. This app is the only thing I've found so far. Setup is easy- download and run, and the app detects all of your Rokus. You can select the device you're using and you can name them accordingly within the app. (I wanted to name mine Fred and Wilma, but I thought "living room" and "bedroom" would be easier to remember.) All you have to do is select the device, scroll down to select a time, and let it be. The app gives you 4 free uses, then requires a purchase within the app. I haven't gotten to the purchase yet, so I don't know if it's worth the unlisted price. (List the price- it's not that hard!) The only issue I've found so far is that you need to "refresh" your devices when you open the app by going into settings and scanning for devices. If you just select the device as shown upon opening the app, it doesn't do anything. I'm going to use it one more time tonight to get to the price. If it's not too ridiculously priced, I will definitely buy it. ### 3/5 — Won’t let me upgrade *2020-02-17* Three free tries worked fine for me with my Roku Ultras. However, app won’t let me upgrade! Didn’t expect that to be the function that wouldn’t work.
