Followed all iPhone points to set up. All ok. Then it insists I change the WiFi password. I do this. Fking loop. Never works. Waste of time and money when updates are not coming when full of bugs. Scrolling down and finding the app in the list shows the permission for location, local network and Siri are switched on and there are no other options. Clips and photos can be viewed stored and exported from the iPhone without any glitches. There was there an update which meant that it would not work with a newer iPhone. The only way to get the app to connect to your dash cam is to turn off mobile data and link via the inbuilt Wi-Fi in the dash cam - obviously this is not a good solution as the whole point of having a mobile phone is to use Mobile data! However, I did find setup pretty straightforward in this case. Make sure you connect to WIFI, not Bluetooth first, then everything is connected. Map, G-Forces, direction, etc are very clear in comparison to most in this price bracket, and videos & photos are both clear, with basic editing available before downloading. A maximum 3 minute segment is standard with dashcam’s, so some comments I think are unfair. Otherwise you would never find what you are looking for. All in all, a decent set of cameras, and the app is as good as it gets in my experience. ### 5/5 — ALTERNATIVE COMPATIBLE APP THAT WORKS!!!! Yay *2022-04-16, version 1.2.2* After having my halo ultra 4k since December and not being able to do anything with the app I FINALLY solved it, on App Store search for “ddpai” the app is pretty much same as halo app except IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! Download App and just select the dashcam image that looks like your Road angel version (my halo ultra is called Mini5) and that’s it, I can now view, search, download and screenshot my 4K Recorded footage. Not sure why Road angel couldn’t of sorted their own app out, paid £250 for a dash cam that’s been pretty useless as I could use app, contacted road angel multiple times but no solution so I just sorted it myself. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ALL ### 5/5 — Really good *2020-07-09, version 1.1* This is my first few minutes playing around with this app. It was very easy to pair with my phone. The solution of the video is better then any camera I had before. You can see very clearly. The videos were easy to access over this app but the camera had to be turned on. Unlike the comment before mine, I have got a date on the video, so this issue seems to be fixed. I have also managed on my first go to send a small clip over WhatsApp to my husband. I have got the front and rear camera and it does what it suppose to do, car’s driver up close first, see the camera and back off. Very happy about that as we are surrounded by people who just can’t keep the distance.
