Apple can not diagnose this as this is a third party app. 2 - when trying to connect it will always timeout. Tried using two different Apple phones and always has a timeout issue. ### 1/5 — My Dash Cam won’t connect... *2020-03-05, version 1.5.6* I’ve had my dash cam connected before and now it won’t even connect. I’ve contacted customer service over the phone (Nice and polite service) but still would not connect. I think the app might need an update? I have the Miniopro CDC-628. After downloading the app, I was prompted to connect to its specific wifi but it wouldn't connect. It kept rejecting the connection and I never even got to use it. I am returning. This product is a major failure. The app is old and if you can get this camera to work... props to you! The wifi: miniopro is connected The gps : is working But the camera does not connect to be synchronize . So disappointed. Scam ..!! ### 1/5 — What a shame *2023-01-28, version 1.5.6* This is a perfect example of a product that has been abandoned. Camera has a voice saying to connect to the app. But the app times out when trying to connect. There’s a code you have to put in that relates to the wifi of the camera. You input that code into the app. In theory it would pair and work. Well…. It doesn’t and always times out. So I guess you could maybe use this as a dash cam and open up the recorded files on your computer, by using a memory card, micro SD to regular SD. App is easy to figure out but you have to figure it out. 2. Must rewrite answers with native English (US) writer (...for USA version). Looks like a bad translator was used! I witnessed an accident and had to play the video while using the iPhone screen recording feature to save the video to my phone. Supposedly under About, but removed. My camera reset and now stuck listening to Chinese everytime it powers up. Support is essentially useless. “Reset it”. Best they can come up with. ### 2/5 — Needs updating, seems abandoned. *2018-07-26, version 1.5.2* Bought the minio cameras from Best Buy on a great deal. $80 bucks off. Cameras work great. But the app really kills it if your not lucky enough to figure things out. I was able to figure out the following procedure that allowed me to utilize the app with consistently. If not the app continues to crash 1. Connect with the camera via Wi-Fi connection (MinioPro-xxxxx) 2. Go into the settings and click to turn on voice recognition. 3 . You can mess with other things if you want but your going to have to uninstall the app completely. 4. Reinstall the app. But this time when you make the connection it will be with the use of voice verification. The camera will say a number letter combo. You enter what she says and connect. 5. From this point I have had no more issues. I can nOw connect without the app crashing 6. One issue that remains is that maps does not load. GPS will position you but how good is that if the map will not load. 2 stars because it does work after the steps I listed and for the maps not loading. Everything app wise works Suggestions 1. Ability to change device name for Wi-Fi listing. I have three cameras and it gets confusing A simpler delete method ### 2/5 — Seriously needs and update *2018-07-21, version 1.5.2* Glitchy as it can possibly be. Nice layout and would be wonderful.... unfortunately it’s garbage in it’s current state.
