As an instructor apps like this have made me stick with Apple and recommended it to others for years now. Common Apple cut Neil Beaver a better deal ### 1/5 — Not great *2012-12-13, version 1.2* The app is not very good, I've had a few crashes and if I accidentally touch the terms part of the map it loads a web page where the map should be, it's difficult to navigate off this as there is no back button.. ----------------- Still lacking function! Even in the new update! ### 2/5 — Not bad *2011-12-06, version 1.0* A brilliant idea that I'm sure is great on the iPad, but is a bit more difficult to use on the iPhone. On full zoom the map is still pretty small and a finger is pretty big, so it can be hard to draw accurately what you want... I really think it needs more "controllable" features... For example it would be pretty useful to have the option to change the "highlighter" colour - so perhaps if you wanted to draw the routes of two cars around a roundabout etc etc. How about a favourites area, where you can store images so you can instantly bring the image up to use - without waiting for maps to load and refresh? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bug issues *2025-07-23, version 2.0.2* App doesn’t open when clicked. More than happy to pay more if you could update the whole package so it works with latest iOS ### 5/5 — Very useful *2014-02-08, version 2.0.1* I use this to explain tricky road layouts to my students which helps deal with them quicker. ### 5/5 — New update changes *2012-10-12, version 1.2* Due to the iOS 6 update Neil has been doing his best to keep the app running smoothly however the latest update for the app means that to use google maps and the streetview you need to go to settings select the roadpad mini app and turn on web maps this then enables the app to work in the way it was always meant to.
