Upon loading most of the items that were up for sale in the market were no longer available. The first screen of items (before it crashed) only showed three instead of four. Annoying. ### 3/5 — Adding items to inventory *2022-06-05* So in the game you can find treasure to add to you inventory while on a quest but I don’t see where to add the items I find to my inventory if I stop playing and come back I won’t remember all the items I’ve received. But last time I forgot to bring my iPad and so I couldn’t play it with my phone due to not have the savegame on it. Please implement this. App keeps telling you to put out monsters despite knowing how many players there are and resultant group limits. 3. As with Mansions of Madness, the on screen text and player icons, which could easily be remedied, do not match the player count and characters selected. 4. Can't play saved games on different devices. 5. Worst of all: If you back out of the app for any reason? You have to wait for the entire app to reload and then, if you didn't happen to back out when the app saved, you have to click thru a number of steps and prompts you've already seen unforgivable ### 2/5 — Keine Soundausgabe bei iPad/iPhone *2019-06-26* Die aktuelle App bietet bei iPhone und iPad keine Hintergrundmusik und keine Soundausgabe. Schade.. 😫 ### 4/5 — Excellent way to play Descent *2019-01-01* Update (moving to 4 stars from 5): after playing with the app some more, there are a few tweaks that I think would be really useful to players. 1) Allow players to control which minor and major perils are allowed in a campaign (or at least turn them on or off). We got the last breath major peril in the middle of a quest. A 2 round timer where you lose after the 2nd round and the current objective is to “explore” with only 2 players? That totally ruins the game. 2) Inventory from the city seems to disappear after leaving the city and putting down the game for any amount of time. This means players have to waste a week to restock, obnoxious but a more minor complaint. Original: Loving the app so far, my group had a lot of fun with the tutorial and we are eager to delve into the rest of the content. My one suggestion would be to allow account creation for maintaining saves and content across devices. ### 4/5 — Sehr gut umgesetzt *2018-09-20* Das Spiel mit App statt Overlord funktioniert sehr gut. Dadurch, dass die Karte immer nur bis zur nächsten Tür aufgebaut wird, kommt richtige Erkundungslust auf. Die Story wird in knapp gehaltenen Texten erzählt, so kann Spannung entstehen, ohne dass der Spielfluss gehemmt wird. In dem Einstellungen kann zwischen mehreren Sprachen inklusive Deutsch gewählt werden. Nur das Tutorial hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen. Die vielen Text-Einblendung habe fast dazu geführt, dass ich der App keine Chance mehr gegeben hätte. Besser einfach die Anleitung zur App durchlesen und dann direkt eine Kampagne starten. Hoffentlich werden zukünftig noch weitere Kampagnen in der App veröffentlicht. ### 4/5 — Super app! *2018-08-02* Il manque juste les textes oraux en français et encore des traductions de quêtes en français ### 5/5 — Génial ! *2018-01-23* App enfin disponible en français. Cela apporte un nouveau mode de jeu, de la coop avec découverte des tuiles au fur et à mesure. Les rebondissements sont nombreux, l'app va chercher dans ds toutes nos extensions pour y piocher les monstres. Le comportement des monstres varient d'un tour à l'autre. Petite,musique d'ambiance. Par ailleurs, je trouve que le fait de découvrir le plateau de jeu au fur et à mesure de l’avancée de l’aventure apporte beaucoup par rapport au mode de jeu que propose la boite de base qui dévoile le plateau des le début de la partie. Die Regeln muss jeder noch selbst beherrschen und nur ein paar Spielmechaniken werden von der App gesteuert. Die Übersetzung kriegt man mit den üblichen kostenlosen Tools problemlos hin. So wird aus Descent 2.0 ein vollkooperativer Dungeon Crawler der Extraklasse. Glatte 5 Sterne. ### 5/5 — Excellent addition! *2017-09-02* One of my favorite games made better!!! This app allows Descent to become a fully cooperative game where the app controls the overlord. The hard setting can be pretty difficult which is great for us experienced players but the normal setting is easy enough for newbies to get acquainted. I figured I'd give the app a whirl for my first time of playing the game. I had already read the campaign books, and expected a similarly awesome storyline. Instead, I was playing a smash fest, where I was unable to do any actions that I wanted to do for the first two rooms. It ignored monster group limits, and was overall unenjoyable. I will not be using the app any longer. How can a new player learn the basics when the app introduces additional, spiteful mechanics (the Ettin does +4❤️!?) designed to wipe the party before the players can process the info? Practically guaranteed status effects? I mean, you don't have to show EVERYTHING at the first mission. Monsters out of nowhere, effects all the time, no time to recover, small map... Even a side mission has ended up using almost every monster group available. And this is being played on normal. First trial game I made some tactical mistakes but game let me off ”this time”. Cool, got to the city geared up levelled up read up ALL the rules and got cocky went for side quest and got absolutely battered. Now I’m in the city pounding on that irresistible defeat and fearing next one. But with the release of the paid for one off play modes this now takes Descent to a new level! You can get the best of both worlds with a few hours of play whilst using the experience system to feel like your characters develop!
