## What is RoadFitter?

Your bike fit — live, voice-guided, on your own bike.

RoadFitter draws your skeleton LIVE over the camera image and coaches you through your fit with voice guidance — while you sit on your bike and pedal. No uploads, no waiting, no subscription.

HOW IT WORKS
• Prop up your phone side-on, get on your bike, start pedaling
• The voice guides you: calibration, measurement, results
• Knee, torso, shoulder and elbow angles — measured live across ~30 pedal strokes, never a single snapshot
• Clear recommendation (e.g. "raise saddle ~10 mm"), then re-test instantly: before/after to the degree

THREE MODES
• Live Fit: guided fitting with a voice coach — our core feature
• Manual Measurement: all angles in real time while you adjust your bike
• Video Scan: record a short clip, full analysis of every pedal stroke

SADDLE FORE/AFT — YOUR DIGITAL PLUMB
• On your own photo, at the forward crank position: a plumb line dropping from your knee
• Slide it with the arrows from the knee joint to the front of your knee and see whether it sits over the ball of your foot
• Deliberately no traffic light: there is no universally correct saddle position — you decide
• Re-measure after adjusting and the change is shown in millimeters

FOR EVERY BIKE
Road (aero & endurance), gravel, TT/triathlon, city, step-through, spin — and kids' bikes with a safety-first approach.

YOUR FITS ARE KEPT
• Every measurement is saved per bike — with photo, angles and knee plumb
• Find your way back after transport, a saddle swap or a rebuild

HONEST & PRIVATE
• The knee angle is the only scientifically validated, injury-relevant value — and that's exactly what we tell you. Everything else is guidance based on comfort and riding style.
• Angle targets apply regardless of gender (current evidence).
• Your measurements and videos stay on your iPhone. No cloud, no account.
• No black box: your angles are pure geometry — transparent math, not AI hype.

A professional bike fit costs $150–400. RoadFitter brings the key adjustments home — as often as you like, for all your bikes.

Note: RoadFitter is not a medical device and does not replace a professional bike fit or medical advice. If you're in pain, see a professional.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.1 — 2026-08-26

Housekeeping release: clearer wording in the fit report (the 33° target is now called a marker), an updated privacy-policy link, and RoadFitter is now part of Digitalbucht.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-14

RoadFitter now runs on iPad — and not as a stretched iPhone.

• On iPad the report reads in two columns: the annotated photo, your knee angle and the one adjustment in millimetres on the left; every angle, the knee plumb, measurement quality and the limits on the right. Same order as before, side by side instead of stacked.
• Your bikes sit beside the add-bike form instead of above it.
• Live fit, video scan and history use the full width.
• Measuring is identical to iPhone: same analysis, same target ranges, same numbers.

Portrait stays locked on iPad too — the measurement depends on it.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-13

The results screen is rebuilt — and the live fit, video scan and history finally show the same thing.

• The essentials first: knee angle and the one adjustment, in millimetres. Everything else expands when you want it.
• New: how far you are from the target range. Red now says "5° to go" instead of just "red".
• History shows the full report instead of a shortened version.
• The annotated photo now appears after a live fit too — and in the video report the values are finally legible.
• A set-up step before the live fit: live camera, skeleton, start when you are ready. Nothing begins before you say so.
• Front camera for the live fit and manual measurement — see yourself instead of measuring blind.
• Large corrections now get larger steps. 50 mm in 5 mm increments was never realistic.
• Plenty of smaller fixes: the keyboard can be dismissed, leftover English strings are gone, the way into a fit is clearer.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-06

Minor bug fixes and improvements.

### 1.2 — 2026-07-28

Saddle forward or back? Now you can see it.

The digital knee plumb sits on your own still frame — no string, no weight, no
guessing. Nudge it onto the knee joint with the arrows and see exactly where
it falls.

NEW IN THIS VERSION

• Illustrated recording guide
Film side-on at 90 degrees, at the same height — the most common reason a
measurement turns out useless, now explained in one drawing. In onboarding,
in the live fit and in the video scan.

• Kids' bikes: safety before optimisation
On a kids' bike what matters is that the child can stand and stop safely.
So reach and riding-position suggestions are gone there, and any hint to
raise the saddle now always comes with the condition that the feet still
  reach the ground.

• Support that actually arrives
Write to us straight from Settings — pick a topic, and app and device details
are attached automatically so a bug report is actionable without follow-up.

• Clearer wording
The video scan doesn't need a turbo trainer: leaning the bike and pedalling
backwards works just as well. And "Manual Measurement" is manual in name
only — it runs live through the camera. It now says so.

ALREADY IN SINCE 1.1

• Concrete fine-tuning tips, even when everything is already green
• An honest explainer on why video and live readings differ slightly
• A hint when the knee is very strongly bent at the top of the stroke

Everything still runs on your iPhone. No account, no upload, no subscription.
