Wenn wir einen Ort entdecken, den wir bereisen möchten, wird er eingespeichert und wenn der Roadtrip ansteht, plant Roadie uns eine Route. Die Reihenfolge der Spots ist nicht immer so sinnvoll, lässt sich aber leicht selbst ändern. Einen Wunsch hätten wir noch, dann wäre es echt super: Die Markierungen lassen sich nicht anpassen. Es wäre schön, wenn man unterschiedliche Symbole und Farben nutzen könnte. There are other more expensive apps that have more features, but this has the basics of what I need. You can map out major stops, search and add stops along the route, and click the next stop in the route to feed coordinates to the map app for navigation. I am paying the monthly fee as I’ve been evaluating the app and will be switching to the long term subscription next. ### 5/5 — Easy to use *2025-12-27, version 1.7.7* This is one of the best Travel Apps I have ever owned. I first did the month to month but quickly realized it would be better just to purchase it outright. I did a start point in WA and a destination in CA. As I added stops it had me bouncing back and forth between WA and CA then OR and back. It’s not smart enough to auto sort. Deleted. ### 2/5 — Ruined with new update *2025-07-15* Have been using this app to plan trips for years. Have planned 20+ roadtrips with no issues. The recent update makes it very difficult to find the most efficient route. You used to be able to move the stops around and determine the distance between each, very easily. Now you need to select reorder & group to move the stops, but the distance between stops doesn’t show in this section. So you need to move the stops, hit save, go back to check, and repeat the process. It’s very slow and clunky and really just makes the process much longer than it needs to be. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that you don't like the new update. We decided to change it in this way since the previous method had some severe downsides. One problem was that there were technical issues when saving the new order, which we solved with the new reorder list. Another problem was that the list would sometimes get stuck, and it would then be impossible to move the items. And last but not least, it should make handling large lists with many stops and sections a lot easier. Maybe you saw that we released another update that already makes this list a bit easier to use, since we are using the same numbering now in both lists. I hope the app is still useful to you. ### 5/5 — Verschlimmbessert *2025-07-11* Sorry Team aber mit dem letzten Update habt ihr die App verschlimmert!!! Vorher konnte man bequem in der Reiseplanung Reiseziele zwischen den Tagen verschieben. Jetzt wechselt dafür die Seite und die Nummern der Reiseplanung stimmen nicht mehr mit den Nummern der Sortierung im neuen Menu überein. Nicht clever gelöst!!! **Developer response:** UPDATE: wir haben nun die Nummerierung in der Liste angepasst. Danke für diesen Hinweis. Danke für dein Feedback. Aus technischer Sicht, behebt diese Anpassung einige Fehler und im Großen und Ganzen, macht es das Verschieben von Stationen in einer sehr langen Reise auch um einiges einfacher. Ich gebe dir aber Recht, bei der Nummerierung in der Liste fließen auch die Sektionen als Elemente mit hinein und das tun sie in der Routenliste später nicht. Wir nehmen dieses Feedback also mit auf und überlegen, ob es besser wäre, die Nummerierung in beiden Listen gleich zu belassen. ### 5/5 — Vorschläge perfekt umgesetzt *2025-06-22* Super, vielen Dank für die Umsetzung der Kopierfunktion. Daraus lassen sich dann von Punkt zu Punkt eigene Routen zusammenstellen. Das ist ganz nett, aber für den verlangten Preis ist es zu wenig. Der Funktionsumfang ist lächerlich - da kann ich auch gleich Google Maps verwenden, dafür muss ich nichts zahlen und habe sehr viel mehr Funktionen. **Developer response:** Danke, dass du dir die Zeit genommen hast, eine Bewertung zu schreiben. Wenn dir 10 Stationen reichen bei der Planung einer Reise, die dann nach schließen der App wieder weg sind, dann kannst du sicher auch Google Maps benutzen. Mit Roadie kannst du eine Route mit so vielen Stationen, wie du magst anlegen. Du kannst sie teilen und bearbeiten. Du kannst den Stationen Fotos und Notizen anhängen und ein Reisetagebuch erstellen. Das sind schon mal einige Funktionen die Google Maps nicht liefert, weil es anders als Roadie, keine Routenplaner- sondern eine Navigations-App ist. However I was expecting to be able to navigate in-app. No problem, as I can choose either Apple or Google for navigation. One big problem though - both those apps completely ignore the route I planned. You need to add the distance between stops in the reorder & group section and allow us to see the map while moving stops. It is impossible to plan a roadtrip with lots of stops when you can’t see the distance between each and where each stop is. When you’re reordering the stops, you’re just blindly doing so, with no rhyme or reason. This app is now completely unusable for its entire purpose. I’ve been using it for years and have so many routes. I am begging you to fix it. At least add the distance between stops in the reorder & group section or allow us to move around stops again on the main screen. I’m trying to plan a couple roadtrips currently and it’s very very difficult to do so ### 1/5 — Hate the latest update *2025-07-19, version 1.7.4* I loved this app for planning normally this would be a 4 or 5 star app. But the new UI updates make it very hard to plan a route. As a simple operation try going back to the same place on a single trip and you can not. I have no way off adding a place if I search as I can only remove it. The reorder and group function is not intuitive and way too many clicks. Just please add a duplicate function or add again function. ### 1/5 — Useless without premium. *2025-07-17, version 1.7.3* Aside from the potential to save and revisit a route, there is no functionality I can’t get from using Google maps without paying. Search along route function is limited to restaurants. All other search categories are locked. Leider funktioniert die App nicht fehlerfrei. Es werden Etappen verschoben, Fährverbindungen werden permanent hinzugefügt, obwohl man die Strecke gar nicht gewählt hat und Etappen werden geteilt und lassen sich dann nicht löschen! I use it to plan holidays, day trips and also my dream list. I live in VIC Australia and when I find cool places in my state I add it to my VIC bucket list so next time I’m out and about I have places I want to go too. From dining to national parks and attractions. Just got a new car without native navigation system so may pay for the upgrade to roadie to see what other benefits it has. I like that I can see all my stops in one over view or zoom into them individually. Unlike Waze and Google, there’s no limit to stops. During our trip we updated the itinerary to include on-site changes. After the trip the itinerary was kept as a record of where we had been. I will say that, after having paid for the lifetime subscription the support is no longer responding to an issue I am having. Until I figure this out, do not add an image to the trip name. Excellent planning tool highly recommended ### 5/5 — Overall a great planning tool *2026-02-22, version 1.7.7* I’ve used Roadie twice to take a long road trip, and loved it both times. it’s extremely easy to use simply plug in your destinations and add them to your route. it offers a way to schedule/rearrange your itinerary, which is extremely helpful. You can use the itinerary to plan out how long each day will be or what you plan on doing each day of your trip. I did what seem to be bugs in certain areas. For example I was planning a trip that was going on the “Going to The Sun” road and for some reason it kept calculating the route going around the whole park to the other side.
