### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-02-29, version 17.0*

Paid for a subscription on the app, new content won’t download despite following all instructions and reinstalling app. Very frustrating. Worst app I have used. Will be cancelling subscription- very unfair to the publication.

### 1/5 — Can’t get it to expand to my iPad so is too small to use on it!

*2019-03-01, version 8.3*

Please cancel this, I’ll stick to my current subscription to the magazine and just plan my rides from the tours in the articles I ‘be got over the last years of being a subscriber. Hope I don’t get charged for this as I am going to delete it from my iPad.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2019-01-18, version 8.3*

My subscription just stopped working 6 months into the subscription. Emails to the magazine for support have not been returned. A shame as it was good!

### 1/5 — No Linked?

*2019-01-12, version 8.3*

I can’t believe paid subscribers, (like me), can’t use this app free of charge. Oh well, easy to delete!

### 1/5 — Won’t work for print subscribers

*2018-12-16, version 8.3*

Another user had the same problem over a year ago. Clearly this developer doesn’t care. I’m uninstalling

### 1/5 — No sign in for existing subscribers

*2016-12-18, version 8.1*

I enjoy the print version, but there is no provision to use this app without buying another subscription.

### 2/5 — Great Mag-Bad App

*2016-01-09, version 5.13*

I had been getting newsstands copy and decided to go online so I had access anywhere and thought would get access to all the digital content such as GPS files and maps. No such luck with the App and no where does app description let you know you pay full price for subscription but get none of the regular benefits. If all you want is to read the articles save a couple bucks and go online thru web and buy digital or hard copies. At least you get ALL the benefits. But stay away from App unless you just got to read on your iPad

### 1/5 — App

*2014-05-23, version 4.6*

Very difficult to use app for access. Have to access road runner from app then go to issues. Once there, can't really see full page for reading on line. Can enlarge but real frustrating. Do many mags on line with no problem and it has not always been problem here but now it is. Contacted rr to advise and if it changes will post.

### 1/5 — Pay twice - I think not

*2013-06-15, version v1.0*

I already subscribe to this mag, plus bought access to all the issues on-line but now they want me to buy it again to read it on my phone?

### 2/5 — Decent start

*2013-06-14, version v1.0*

Everybody has to start someplace. This was a decent start but this is a long way from being a good app. RoadRUNNER contracted with a third-party to put an exact copy of the magazines on this app. The price is nearly the same as what you could buy a paper copy for at the newsstand. You get no credit for having a paid subscription. There's no user interaction provided except clipping pictures. There should be additional pictures or commentaries not included in the magazine. At least they should have hyperlinked the URLs and phone numbers of vendors so we can touch and bring those up in browsers. I'm being generous giving it two stars but I want to encourage future development. In short, it was worth every penny I paid for it, but it didn't stay on my phone long.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless, no support

*2025-05-08, version 20.0*

Stopped receiving issues after April issue. Support support have been non existent, only response was to direct me to a “faq” page which lists steps to correct it but I already tried. Whoever is in charge of your pathetic excuse for a “customer service” dept needs to be fired!!!

### 1/5 — No help

*2025-01-13, version 20.0*

Have not received a new issue since March April 2024, paid for the subscription for the year and have sent in multiple emails asking for help - but no help has arrived!

### 1/5 — Don’t receive my magazine’s

*2024-12-09, version 20.0*

I get charged every month for my magazines and haven’t had any show up on my iPad for several issues now.

### 1/5 — Useless, no support

*2024-11-15*

Stopped receiving issues after April issue. Support never responded.

### 1/5 — New magazine issues not down loading

*2024-08-29, version 20.0*

The app worked great for about a year. Now, new issues aren’t downloading since the March/April 2024 issue. I’ve tried all of their recommended fixes, none have worked. Tried canceling the subscription, still getting charged.

### 1/5 — App stopped working

*2022-07-05, version 19.0*

I have a subscription and an account. I can log in and access/view all tours, including Shamrock tours. But when I attempt to start navagation for a tour, the screen freezes. Using iPhone 13 pro, automatic updates to iOS are always current.

This should be a question for tech support but it appears there is no number to call for help. So I am leaving this negative review. I will happily re-rate it if tech service gets back to me ASAP

### 1/5 — App is frustrating to use

*2022-01-05, version 19.0*

With every update it’s difficult to find the magazines that I ordered. Unlike Rider magazine, I can’t go directly to my magazines. I have to scroll through each magazine and guess which one I already paid for. The reason I don’t order more Road Runner magazines is because The app isn’t user friendly.

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2021-07-13, version 18.0*

Just paid $60 for three year subscription, can’t access any mag without it asking for more money!

### 1/5 — No access to issues purchased from the website

*2020-04-26, version 17.0*

Support took two weeks to respond, provided no information that wasn’t in the help/docs already and did not acknowledge the fundamental problem; you cannot access issues purchased from the website. I wanted to subscribe but between this and not letting you download the PDFs I am unwilling to.

### 1/5 — Dissatisfied

*2020-03-13, version 17.0*

I have had an qccount and subscribing for a long time. Once again the log in eoesnt work on my subscription. This is an ongoing issue with your service. Or should I say lack there of?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Cycling for 58 years

*2025-07-12, version 20.0*

I enjoy the complete format of roadrunner. I’ve been a lifelong reader of roadrunner and it’s other iterations. I am a touring Motorcyclist however, sometimes I go down dirt which then makes my 09 BMW GS model with road tires fulfill its duality. Thank you for writing such a great magazine. Fred from the great Lake State Southeast Michigan.

### 5/5 — The National Geographic of Motorcycle Publications

*2023-06-08, version 20.0*

The best publication for motorcyclists that I’ve seen. Great photography. Great articles.

### 5/5 — Love me some RoadRunner

*2021-01-17, version 17.0*

RoadRunner is hands down the best motorcycle touring mag there is. From Europe to the Americas, it has provided us the inspiration for many of our 2-up trips over the years. We’ve put many Shamrock tour lodging and restaurant recommendations to use and they’re always spot-on. 38 States down, 12 to go (+Guam and Puerto Rico). RoadRunner, how about a trip thru Scotland?

### 5/5 — Best Touring Mag Ever

*2020-08-25, version 17.0*

I first subscribed to RR back in January 2000 while at the International Motorcycle Show in Philadelphia, PA. As I seriously expanded my riding from putt putt to cross country commuting, RR became the one true mag that didn’t let anyone selling anything in the M/C world to sway their opinions. It’s very refreshing to know you can read an article and know you aren’t being sold something. Keep up the great work you guys! I look forward to my issue every other month!

### 5/5 — RR Rules!

*2019-10-29, version 17.0*

Best motorcycle magazine period! Chock full of routes, rides, and scenery. From day rides to cross country Roadrunner has it all!

### 5/5 — It's what keeps me sane during non-riding season

*2015-11-07, version 5.13*

Whether it's the app or the actual publication I love it. Admittedly I had to take a tutorial a couple times to get used to the user interface. Regardless the publication is dedicated to that which it says writing. I personally custom design my maps on Google maps and then download into a GPS format.

One reader mentioned that you don't get the GPS files with back issues. I know this to be true but there was one particular file I wanted and I reached out to road runner. They were awesome I had to file the next day.

### 5/5 — Beware the catch!

*2015-10-08, version 5.13*

The app works great to read the content very responsive. I even purchased many back issues The issue is I assumed when I purchased the back issues I would also get the digital content such as maps and GPS files. I bought over $70 worth of back issues with that as the intent. I only just found out you only get the files if you get the back issues directly from the publisher! I must have missed that point somewhere...
So, if all you want is the magazine then get the app, but if might ever want the related digital content go directly to the publisher.

### 5/5 — Road Runner a great deal

*2015-06-26, version 5.13*

I am a relatively new rider. Didn't start riding until I was 65, the stories help me realize that the fun of touring is something worth while doing just to see the county. This magazine gives excellent stories and advice. I feel it is worth the money.

### 4/5 — Suzuki

*2022-05-09, version 19.0*

Where is the road test of the Suzuki 1000 GT??

### 2/5 — App does not allow me to access content I own

*2020-03-30, version 17.0*

I paid for digital back issues on the website, and the app will not allow me to access them
