Car broke down on the highway, I requested a jump. Now, within a few minutes of me ordering from Drive, a cop pulled over and I cancelled the service. I cancelled in the app AND the tow company called me so I cancelled DIRECTLY with the driver. No one was dispatched to me. They still charged me 199$. If per their cancellation clause they charged me the 45$, I could accept that, but 199$ for nothing is straight up criminal. I Waited for an hour as they continually promised service was on the way and then cancelled that service. At about midnight, I cancelled the request and had a friend come out and help me as it was freezing cold and I was tired of being led on. The company then had the nerve to charge me $45 for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This is HIDDEN in their T&Cs which, when you are in an emergency, I doubt you’re going to take the time to read. That’s why I have labeled this as a scam. They are preying on people in desperate situations. Nobody did and still charged full amount ### 1/5 — ZERO STARS *2022-01-14, version 6.8* BEWARE!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! This company took $89 from me on January 3, 2022 and did not show up to render service! Oh how I wish I could’ve read these reviews first! Please do not use… they will take your money and not deliver.. there is no Customer service phone only a live operator if you want to book services.. I called that line just to see if they can help, Lupe the rep said he wish he could Help but he can’t because they’re telling him to tell me to email them over and over again. I emailed them the same day and they replied 5-7 business days.. it’s been more than 7 days so I emailed again and now their reply is reading 3-5 business days. For what?!? You guys never showed! Just refund and let’s be done with it! Save your money and go else where. ### 1/5 — Scam! *2022-01-01, version 6.8* This app is a scam. The dispatch portal closed for me and I was unable to cancel service which never came. The ETA continued to say 45 minutes despite no one ever being dispatched. The artificial intelligence help not appears to be the only way to contact the company and the bot continually responds “Come again?” or “What was that?” even when asked very straightforward questions about how to cancel a service. I hope I do not get billed for this absolute scam. ### 1/5 — Don’t even try it *2021-12-14, version 6.8* I locked my keys in my car. Looked online for a night time lock smith. when I couldn’t find on in my area I found and downloaded this app. To my pleasant surprise they said they would dispatch someone to set me into my car. Pricey at $89. I didn’t have much of a choice at 11pm. I canceled the call after the help failed to arrive. Even though the help did not come, they charged me $30. Said it was in the terms of service that a cancellation would still cost $30. Even though no one ever showed up. The other mistake was giving them one star rating. The next day I was able to get a locksmith to open my car for only$40. These people are an overpriced Ripoff! UPDATE:… Drive roadside did not refund my money, so I called my bank and asked them to cancel the charge. My bank refunded my money and I deleted the app from my phone. AGAIN, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP, they only ‘ might’ show up, but will charge you regardless. BUYER BEWARE!!! ### 2/5 — I need a refund pls *2021-11-29, version 6.8* I would give this a 4 star rating but unfortunately I never received the service I requested and I would like to receive a refund on this ### 1/5 — Complete scam. *2021-10-18, version 6.8* After having a tire blow pit on the freeway I tried to use this service. I input all my info and after paying for the service the app breaks. I can no longer see if I’m getting help and can only speak to an AI that does not even function properly. I sent emails asking to speak with a human being or anything other than their unhelpful Ai and asked for updates on my assistance and received nothing. I text updates or email updates of any kind, this is extremely unprofessional and seems like a complete scam. ### 1/5 — This company is a waste of time and money. *2021-10-04, version 6.8* I had the worst experience. I requested a service for roadside assistance online and never received it. I followed the instructions in the text message they sent me. I was supposed to call after 15 minutes if I didn't get a service status update. So after 15 minutes I called and the woman who answered said that I scheduled the service for the next day at 7:00 a.m., when the website doesn't even have the option to select the time. She changed the time so that I could get the service and told me to call back in half an hour to check the status. I did that and to my surprise they couldn't find any information with my phone number and my name. The only option they were giving me was to open another service and that I would have to pay for that again, because there was nothing else they could do. None of their employees were giving me real options and when I asked them about a refund they couldn't do anything because they are not the ones who work with refunds that I had to called a different phone number. This company charged me for a service that I did not receive. I sent an email but have not received a response. Just give me my refund. ### 1/5 — Never showed *2023-08-23* They never showed up, never answer the call, never updated me, even their gps thing was not right, it said they had arrived but they never did. And then they send me email saying they where still going to charge me since they did show up 4 hours after the initial estimated time of arrival. There something not right with this company there seem to be something maybe not legal going on. Absolutely recommend do not use it. ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE COMPANY *2023-02-23, version 6.8* Zero stars. Horrible experience and horrible customer service. If you try to cancel a service because you no longer need them/they are taking too long to arrive they will tell you they’ve cancelled it and then charge you for the entire service anyways. Per their policy, if you cancel before the driver arrives you’re only subject to a $45 fee. Well, what they will actually do is tell you they have cancelled it and never actually cancel it so they can charge you for the full service and say you were the one that never arrived. They use “GPS tracking” and gaslight you into believing you have to pay because there’s “no way to prove you cancelled it if the driver did not record it.” Don’t bother using them, they probably won’t come anyways. ### 1/5 — No receipt *2023-01-16, version 6.8* I got help, but I can’t get anyone to reply to me with a receipt so I can turn it in to my insurance. This should not be a complicated request. None of the phone numbers I can find for them work and no one has responded to my email or Facebook message. ### 1/5 — Scam *2023-01-03, version 6.8* This app is a complete scam. They just want your cancellation fee. If you’re in a bind please try something else. Otherwise, you will wait and wait and wait until you finally give up. No one is showing up. Finally a passerby found me in my car. Give me a ride to town. I woke up to the sheriff calling to have my car towed. I have been charged for your services and never received your services and I feel like I should get my money back for almost freezing to death with the temperatures the way they are if you cannot guarantee services, they don’t guarantee them compensation for my sufferings as well. Now I am without a vehicle and all of my stuff for work is in it, and I have no way of knowing where my car is a companies in my area and no one seems to have my vehicle. ### 1/5 — Worst experience ever *2022-12-12, version 6.8* I do not suggest anyone to use this company it’s all fake they tell you that there is a ETA for a driver to be there and string you on to say it’s to track where the driver is at all time.. ETA is just a way for the company to lead you to use there service I wanted 2 1/2 hours for a tire change and don’t waste any of your time with the Customer service number either all they tell you is (I DONT KNOW ) to everything you may ask of them.. I had to call over and over again instead of them reaching out to let you know what’s going on since they provide a service for a fee and making sure the person is safe.. USE ANY OTHER COMPANY BUT THIS ONE!! I am a business owner myself and I would never let anyone paying me for a service and provide the worst service ever.. this is all unexplainable this is not how a business is suppose to be ran… ### 1/5 — HOW IS THIS APP LEGAL, ITS A SCAM *2022-10-09, version 6.8* I sat in my car and waited over 2 hrs for roadside assistance that never showed up. Then when I refreshed the page, the ETA just got longer and longer of a wait. ALSO THERES NO WAY TO GET A REFUND! Not even the help page can help, as it doesn’t even load! Apple needs to remove this sad excuse of an app. Wasted 150$!! ### 1/5 — Making Bezos Proud *2022-08-02, version 6.8* My God, I can order a clothing package directly from Taiwan with standard shipping and the whole thing would be cheaper and the package would get there faster than these clowns. Not to mention, they would actually show up. Who in their right mind would pay a membership fee for a “company” that doesn’t even bother to show up? When they say “20 minutes to a 2 hour” wait, what they mean is a 20 day to 2 month wait for someone to come yet charge you like they’d be there in 15 minutes or less. My God, this company exploits money and labour so well that it makes Bezos blush. We were stuck with a flat, out of town, no idea who to call. I was nervous to input a credit card to a site I didn’t know but it was straightforward. The price was listed. Our driver contacted us very quickly and we had a tracker that allowed us to see his progress to us. We were sent a receipt and on our way quickly. We thought we were going to miss an appointment we drove four hours to make but we were right on time thanks to this service. They called immediately and gave an estimated time and had app to follow progress. The guy was earlier than expected. He was SUPER nice. Friendly and efficient! (All the places are called were busy have to wait 4-6 hours) I entered my info they got ahold of me and picked up my vehicle and had to my destination in a very timely manner.
