It helped me a ton and improved my trip when I was in New Zealand. It made it so much easier picking the best routes by seeing the cool gems along the way. I paid for the full version and it is 100% worth the money! I have recommended this app to anyone thinking about going to New Zealand. Now there’s far too many paid things from attractions that presumably pay to have their destination listed. And now I see you have to pay to unlock destinations. I used Roady in NZ while we were travelling four weeks and it’s all I relied on - such an epic app! Really great features and very knowledgeable about destinations. There should be a web version available as well. Navigating through all the locations on a mobile phone is difficult, especially when it comes to zooming in and shortlisting destinations. Additionally, I’ve saved a lot of locations, but when I want to view them on the map to see how far the selected destinations are, I am unable to do so unless I mark them as “seen.” As a tourist using this app for a limited time, I believe these two features are essential for a better user experience. **Developer response:** Thanks for your thoughtful feedback, Abby. We hear you on the practical challenges, and good news: our next release will include the ability to view all your saved places on a map, making it easier to plan and visualise your trip. More importantly the app introduced us to Seb who was amazing throughout our planning journey and even got us some sick discounts! Would totally recommend this app to anyone looking for a trip to NZ! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Dysfonctionnement sur les listes *2025-12-13* Très bonne app qui m’a servi lors de mes 2 voyages en Nouvelle-Zélande, mais qui depuis quelques jours dysfonctionne car je n’arrive plus à accéder à mes bucket lists ni à ajouter des éléments sur une liste … c’est bien regrettable car je préparais un nouveau voyage et cette app était vraiment mon compagnon idéal en road trip dans ce pays. Now you have to pay to mark anything off. You only get 4 for free and you can’t look/use half the stuff on there. Super disappointed basically pointless if you don’t pay. Please fix this bug as I haven’t been able to use the app stuck in this first set up step. ### 1/5 — Buggy survey *2025-01-05, version 2.42.3* I just downloaded the app. The first thing that comes up is a survey to help “customize” your experience. This is obvious data harvesting which is fine but the problem is, is when I finish the survey then press submit, nothing happens. The submit button doesn’t work so the survey stays up and it stops you from using the app until you do the survey but won’t let you submit the survey because it faulty. So one star until they fix that bug and I can actually use the app. ### 1/5 — Cw *2024-11-25, version 2.40.0* No option to try the app or even see it working before you needed to pay for a subscription.
