The charge button was right at the bottom of the screen, to begin with, but now that an add coupon button has been placed just above it, the charge button has moved completely off the bottom, with no way to scroll down. Can this be fixed or is there some way around it? ### 2/5 — At least the app didn’t crash *2025-07-16* My iPhone has a modestly small screen. The app seemed to expect something much bigger so entry fields were invisible during registration and when I tried to use it. Gave up and used credit card but no idea what the cost was ### 2/5 — Charging does not follow the FAQs guidance *2024-09-19* For the most part, I did like my experience with the app. Quick to download, easy to connect and scan the charger. First issue was that I got a warning that my charger has stopped because of an error. So after checking my car, which was charging and then looking back in notifications it had cleared. Carried on charging at a reasonable rate and amount. Second issue, they took £20 to charge as an authorisation fee. No problem with that as it’s better than BPs. However according to their FAQs section once the charge is completed the difference would be reimbursed or paid via my payment method, nothing wrong with that. However, they tried to take the entire payment out of my account instead of the difference, so I would have been £52 out of pocket instead of £32. And then there is no way to initiate a payment through there app to pay the balance. Because of obvious differences in transaction times they can’t guarantee a reimbursement of the £20 for up to 7 days. ### 1/5 — Yet another charging app *2024-07-23, version 2.1.5* Yet another charging app, but this one doesn’t even seem to work - just a white screen on loading meaning a failed charge and wasted time. ### 1/5 — Recent update broken app *2024-03-30* Used to work flawlessly- recent update, wasn’t showing the chargers in my location. Worked when tried via QR instead. App showed charging, BMW app shows charging, now app doesn’t show anything but BMW says the car is still charging! Poor and frustrating! **Developer response:** Thank you for flagging the issue with regards to the charging status and map features. We apologise for any inconvenience. Our development team has now addressed your concerns, and will be releasing a new update in the next 48 hours. Your feedback is crucial to us. Best, EVC Support. ### 1/5 — Dreadful experience *2024-02-27* App keeps logging you out and then didn’t recognise email for password reset so had to register with another email. Then very slow charging with a £45 pre authorisation. But most frustrating it wouldn’t disconnect from the charging point. I called and they tried to help but to no avail and then said they’d raise an emergency ticket to get help. That was over an hour ago and no one has called back. Eventually I had to reconnect and restart another session and then stop that one. Very poor indeed. ### 1/5 — Simple, Quick, Map Feature *2024-02-16* A very easy to use app and the recently added map feature is a welcome addition. I had an issue at one of the charge points but the customer care team solved my issue very quickly. Refreshing to call a ‘local’ number and it was answered by a person from the company and not a call centre or bot. ### 5/5 — Outstanding *2024-02-09* I struggled to find a location for a charge point until I came across the EVC app. Moving forward the app was very clear and simple to use, easily aiding me to locate a charge point. I throughly enjoy using the app, it is now part of my daily habit. I’m getting repeated error’s every time I try to log in. Also tried changing my password and I’m not receiving the email. Charges you more than it needs to, customer service hard to get a hold of and then ages to get reimbursed. First prices went up by 20p a kWh just after the brand change. The latest is removal of Apple Pay. You can only use credit / debit cards registered directly and then they expect to hold £45 of your money to charge. Only found out this morning when I plugged in at work.
