The Roamer BMS app allows you to monitor LiFePO4 batteries equipped with the new Roamer Batteries Smart BMS. Please note, this app is only suitable for second-generation Roamer Batteries. Other brands or first-generation models are not compatible. FEATURES No need for a separate battery monitor Wirelessly connect to your battery from your iPhone Monitor your battery state of charge, voltage and current in real time Displays internal battery status including cell voltages Change BMS parameters using admin password (request from Roamer) PLEASE NOTE The iPhone requires Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE functions You must accept all security permissions when requested or the app will not work Operating distance should be less than 10m The app will only connect with one battery at a time If you want to connect with another iPhone, please shutdown the app on the first iPhone The password for the Details page is in the user guide which can be downloaded from www.roamerbatteries.com/support/quick-start The password for the parameters page can be requested from Roamer. The quality of the batteries and service I feel is second to none. However, this app tarnishes that image as it’s very poor. I understand that it’s a good idea to limit the end user being able to change settings on the battery, but the information it offers is also very limited and worst of all has to be restarted every time you want to view an updated battery level. I feel a smart company like Roamer could do something much smarter with this…a killer feature would be to add CarPlay functionality so that I could monitor alternator charge whilst on the move. ### 5/5 — Well designed and easy to use *2023-08-14, version 1.1.5* A great battery and a really nicely designed BMS app that gives all the key battery info on the main page in a simple and easy to read format. So much nicer than some battery apps I’ve used, it’s clearly been put together by an actual UX designer rather than just applying a logo and colour scheme to a white label Chinese app. The details page offers extra insights and cell voltages and the protect state page gives status codes which are not immediately obvious but are well explained in the manual. State of charge tracks accurately for me and no obvious bugs. I have to close and reopen the app when switching phones but that’s not an issue. Great battery and a solid app to back it up. ### 5/5 — Good App *2023-08-01, version 1.1.5* Works well, lets you monitor the battery - not sure what else you'd need. ### 1/5 — Bugs and limited functionality *2023-07-30, version 1.1.5* It’s almost not worth putting out an app like this. It has many bugs, including showing my battery has half the capacity it actually has. It never refreshes after you go away from the app and come back - you have to close the app and open it again for it to work.
