However, we were involved in an accident today and i downloaded the video to the local files, then tried to save the video to my phone to share, which it used to do fine. Now it says it saved successfully, but its nowhere on my phone. I guess since they stopped making the dash cam, theyre going to stop updating and supporting the app also. Lame. Makes ya never want to buy anything electronic anymore when it works great still but the company doesnt support it. ### 3/5 — Worked well for a while. *2023-11-27* I’ve been using this product for almost 4 years. It worked well for a while. I was able to connect my phone and pull videos from cam to phone over the WiFi function. That ability no longer works. I’ve checked for updates and the app says it’s good. But, if I need to download a video clip, I have to pop out the card and insert it into my PC. However when trying to do this Google says this App is blocked (for YouTube) and Facebook says something similar. If at least it allowed an export to phone that would be useful, but so. Can’t even download without connecting to the roav “wifi” and even when you are it doesn’t work. USELESS ### 1/5 — App has never been able to connect to my dashcam *2025-11-08, version 4.2.3* I’ve had this dash cam for over a year and I have never been able to connect the dash cam to the app. I’ve deleted the app and redownloaded multiple times, I’ve chatted with customer service, I’ve reformatted the dash cam multiple times—nothing works!!!! I will once in a blue moon be able to connect to the ROAV WiFi, but when I go back to the app, it does nothing. Next steps do not pop up for me to add the dash cam. Cons: The cam suddenly stopped recording. Impossible to Clear SD Card, since the cam just stuck with “Processing” and nothing happening for hours. Turning On/Off didn’t help. GPS - unable to connect. WiFi - phone stopped to see it. Manual connection didn’t work either. Results: Eventually, I gave up of trying to figure out what happened to it, just ejected SD card, removed it from the windshield and dropped it off at recycling center. Haven’t experienced any glitchy behavior. Definitely not one of those cheap knock off brands that promise everything and deliver on nothing. The Roav DashCam AO camera is the best for the money. My favorite feature is the wifi. Access all the videos on your phone, on the fly, in the car, etc. Watch, download, lock videos so they don’t get written over. Got this for my wife. She drives a lot for work and this is perfect for her. My supervisor was able to pin down the day, time and location of my “supposed” infraction. He reviewed the 3 minutes of video and determined I had done NOTHING WRONG! Since then I have not been without a DashCam. I have tried at least 5 styles by different manufacturers. This ROAV C2 PRO and the app that can be downloaded to a cellphone is my top pick. #1 I’ve captured video that helped others!!! One which determined who ran a red light. Domestic violence in a parking lot. And a streaker in a parking lot. For myself my ROAVC2PRO helps me be a more focused driver. A better driver. Because I know my speed and direction traveled is being recorded and displayed on playback. I don’t want to be the one at fault. At the push of a button the previous 10 seconds of an incident and 30 seconds after the button was pushed, will be saved has EMERGENCY recording. This featured has allowed me to share many videos of drivers making bad decisions with company Safety Departments. This C2PRO has very clear picture. Zoom in and pan more left or right while watching video back. Audio can also be recorded. Easy to install and mounts using suction cup. Saving and Downloading specific items to your cellphone gallery is easy. Viewing and Deleting unwanted items also easily done from phone app or the dash-cam itself. ### 5/5 — App is working *2021-11-28, version 4.1.0* I have the old model of ROAV A1 for a few years and the DashCam is still working. It had some issues here and there, but I am pleased to see the DashCam is still working.
