Wine Spectator and Vinous Media apps are far superior in functionality and look/ feel. Frankly - the main website has been lagging the competition for years but I put up with it due to the quality of the reviews. This poor app release is another example of the Wine Advocates' inability to compete digitally and remain relevant. ### 1/5 — Not practical *2016-08-10* This app was never very good and with the latest update it's useless. Every time you open the app you have to log in. The search function is severely degraded. The results do not show in any logical order, and the vintage chart is a totally confusing. Considering that I pay around $100/year for access to their site and this app, I think we deserve better. ### 1/5 — Не работает *2016-01-01* Печаль ### 1/5 — Poor Navigation; VERY Old charts - useless *2015-06-05* Many parts of the vintage charts are woefully OUT OF DATE - some back to 2009 (hey we are in 2014 and so all 2012 ratings should be there!). The vintage charts are poorly structured - e.g California has North Coast and Central Coast. This is poor - North Coast could be divided in Sonoma, Carneros, Napa and maybe one or 2 others to reflect the climatic changes. Navigation is TERRIBLE. There is no back button so you have to go all the way back out to the beginning and start over again. The demo version is completely broken and I haven't managed to read a single wine review on this app and I try regularly. It virtually had no functionality. Articles could be a little more frequent and interesting. The wine reviews are often behind for exclusive mailing release wines which makes it less useful. But ultimately the app is useless, it stalls out and I need to restart my phone just to use again. If the content was not so very rich this App would never stand a chance. Please for the love of god fix your app. It’s buggy, quits unexpectedly and the need to log in every time is beyond annoying. Have deleted, re-installed, logged out, logged in, etc… Can no longer see wine reviews. On the website, everything works. Something changed in the past few days. Its main function "Search Wines" fails to yield results despite spelling the wine correctly and exactly how it is listed in their database. Robert Parker appears to be contributing proportionately less reviews himself. Parker reviews, ratings, and my wine cellar all in one place - and always with me. Perfect! I can even find where specific wines that are available for purchase online. For Parker subscribers this is a must have! ### 4/5 — Parfait, nécessite un abonnement. *2020-02-25* Une base de notes de vins incontournable. Nécessiterait une sélection par mots clés pour les propriétaires dont l’affichage des cuvées s’étale sur plusieurs pages...Exemple: si vous tapez « Jadot » dans la recherche générale, vous allez avoir 1900 notes sur 18 pages.... il vaut mieux chercher directement « Jadot Corton » si c’est les notes sur leurs Cortons que vous cherchez. ### 4/5 — Finally fixed! *2013-11-27* I was about to cancel my eRP subscription when the versionI downloaded was totally unusable on my iphone 5, but the latest update has fixed the app, which seems zippy and functional. It still didn't help me as I was wine shopping this weekend for the holidays, but why dwell in the past... ### 2/5 — Quirky app and diminishing returns on reviews *2025-02-08* I grew up on Parker and naturally gravitated to their app. Over time, I have found their content less useful. The app was always buggy, forcing me log in. I found that their barrier to copying content precluded posting content in my personal app (Cellartracker which was great) made it less useful for managing my cellar. I decided I wanted to pause from the subscription, ( I was on auto renew) which is not possible on their app, nor on their website. Customer service was responsive and advised my auto renew had been cancelled promptly. What I did not appreciate is they cancelled my membership even though I had more time in my paid subscription. Please fix this ### 2/5 — Irregular even for an off app *2016-09-12* Parker may give the 2010 Montrose or the 2010 Shafer Hillside Select a perfect 100, but he would probably give the latest version of his own app a 73. The old version was sufficiently usable and thorough. The upgraded version in purple/magenta is a disaster. The reviews of many wines have not made their way to the app database yet. All systems updated on my iOS, but not a go for hundreds of reviews that were present in the prior version. For example, there is not one Opus One review to be found. The Emperor needs new app designers. ### 2/5 — Login *2016-07-27, version 1.08* Has bee a convenient app, but cannot log in since updating to iOS 9.3.3. ### 2/5 — Incomplete Vintage Charts *2015-09-28* If you refer to the RP website, you can see the free public vintage chart info which is updated and maintained. This isn't true for this app. Most vintages ratings cease to cover anything more recent than 2009 or 2010.
