So you’ll still get onscreen interruptions. Does not stem the flow of spam calls, and your screen is constantly receiving multiple notifications from the app per call. Phone doesn’t ring. Thank you for your understanding. ### 4/5 — iOS 7 Now Implements Same Features *2024-02-12, version 2.0.4* With the native “Live Voicemail” for the phone app for iOS 7 and up, RoboShield is a bit redundant except that more information is given for calls that get forwarded to RoboShield’s voicemail function. On the other hand, I don’t think that there is any app that catches phone spam in the wild so RoboShield does what it says that it does. Forwarding call from senders not in your contacts achieves the same results except RoboShield gives more details on the caller and there are a few options such as calling back from within the app and tagging the number as spam. I’m too busy to try to troubleshoot this issue (I work 8-5 w/overtime hours and an hour drive time both ways. Now you can only look up numbers that have contacted you. Very strange to cut that ability. Anyway, lost my biz :) ### 1/5 — The new app is absolutely terrible *2023-06-09* If you at all appreciated the features of RoboShield before, this app is no longer for you! I’ve not received a voicemail in weeks and the app does not work beyond “dial for call forwarding!” There is no way for me to even get back to my voicemail that is being held hostage. I thought it was strange no one has left me a voicemail in forever but my mailbox is entirely empty. ### 4/5 — Gives Detailed Information About Unknown Callers *2023-06-01* So far this app has screened two unknown callers. Robo Shield now handles voicemails and a message can be left. I’ve had no problems with the app’s voicemail function. I can dig into the details of the caller and their location and type of caller service that is being used. Known spam is labeled as such. Don’t even think about this pile of Dung. ### 2/5 — Money for nothing *2023-04-26, version 1.1.5* So far it hasn’t done a thing and I paid the price for the extended version. The only thing this app does is keep a list of the blocked numbers but doesn’t actually do anything about it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Robo Shield scams Spectrum Mobile users *2025-01-13, version 2.1.4* Fed up with robocalls and scam texts, I tried Robo Shield’s 7 day free trial. It worked fine with my I-phone and had no issues with my Spectrum mobile service. So, I bought the annual subscription less than a month ago and now the app will not work with Spectrum mobile and does not offer a way to correct this and there is no one to speak to to fix it. I’ve requested my subscription be paid back since I am getting no service and I’m not even a month into the year I paid for. Robo Shield is a scam and no one should use them. My subscription started Dec. 19.2024 and it stopped working in January 2025. ### 1/5 — No *2024-09-05* Doesn’t even block its own test call. Not helpful. I’ve deleted and reloaded the app only to get the same thing. This needs to be fixed or I need a refund and I’ll go back to my other spam blocker. At first, I only received a few spam calls a day. As the year progressed, it advance to about 10 to 12 spam calls a day! I switched to Robo Shield 2 months ago and only receive an average of 0-2 calls per day. If this continues, I will stay with Robo Shield. It seems my 8 year old not only downloaded this app but left a bad review. His review “Do not get it, it dose not work the same people call me.” I’ll ask him in the morning but I’m sure it’s him because of his spelling of “does.” His intentions were good as I do get a lot of spam calls. Maybe I’ll try the app out anyway.
