PLEASE FIX THIS NONSENSE!!! ### 3/5 — Needs a proper iPad app *2026-08-17, version 4.70.02* The app is ok but i found it frustrating trying to place thresholds, no go areas and furniture on such a small app. So loaded on to ipad for a bigger screen but unfortunately it’s not a proper iPad app it just gives the same small screen as on the iPhone. There doesn’t seem to be a way to disable the annoying tips either. ### 3/5 — Saros 10R Has Serious Navigation and Mopping Issues *2026-08-17, version 4.70.02* I really like the Roborock Saros 10R overall, but I’ve noticed several recurring navigation and mopping issues that I hope can be improved with a firmware update. There is a specific area of my kitchen that the robot consistently avoids, even though there are no obstacles there and the floor is fully accessible. It repeatedly goes around this area instead of cleaning it. I’ve also noticed an issue with rugs. If a rug was previously in a certain spot and I move or remove it before cleaning, the robot still does not mop the exposed floor where the rug used to be. It will vacuum that area, but it skips mopping it, as if it still thinks the rug is there. I would expect the robot to detect in real time whether a rug is actually present. Another issue is the cleaning path. The robot often goes over the same areas multiple times unnecessarily and moves around the room in a very inefficient way. Instead of cleaning in a logical, systematic pattern, it sometimes makes unnecessary turns, repeats already-cleaned sections, and takes much longer routes than needed. These issues have happened repeatedly, not just during one cleaning cycle. I really like the Saros 10R otherwise, so I hope Roborock can improve the navigation, cleaning-path efficiency, and real-time carpet detection in a future firmware update. ### 3/5 — Works OK *2026-08-17, version 4.70.02* This app has a lot of rooms to improve. 1. It doesn't give the user the option to set a default mode for each room. Since I usually want vac only for my wood floor, I have to change the mode every time I start a new cleaning job. 2. When the robot finishes a job, it doesn't seem to be able to find an efficient path to the dock. And it doesn't remember the better path it took in the previous job. 3. I have two floors in the house so I created two maps. However it doesn't give the option to pick the map when start a new job. The user has to go to the map management first, then switch the floor map. That's too awkward. Hope Roborock makes the app more user friendly in future software/firmware updates. ### 3/5 — Map issue *2026-08-15, version 4.70.02* Room names are constantly reset. That is a lie, no smart vacuum requires that. Roborock support is worth worthless, the app is useless and connecting to Wi-Fi to troubleshoot as well without connecting to to a third-party website out of Beijing China. If you have an apple iPhone or a PC that website is a malicious website. Which is flagged by multiple virus, scanners and software companies. Buy another vacuum.. ### 2/5 — Vacuum is good, app is not *2026-08-14, version 4.70.02* The vacuum its self does a great job… when I can control it from the app. From time to time, the app gets stuck on the Home Screen and looks as if the robot is cleaning but it is sitting in the dock. If you click “enter,” it flashes to the screen momentarily and then goes back to the Home Screen as if the robot is cleaning. Again, it is not. It will be on the dock charging. I cannot get it to start cleaning, clean a specific zone, or room when it does this.
