The app is super easy to use. You hit record, read whatever is written on the screen, stop recording and hit submit. Be sure to record in a very quiet room or they’ll send the recording back to you and ask you to redo it. I’ve had to redo some of my recordings 2-3 times because there was faint noise in the background but they’ve never outright rejected me and I’ve always received the full pay. Once your recordings have been approved, you get your money via PayPal. The only issue I see is there aren’t enough available jobs. Other than that, I recommend Robson App to anyone. I like the simple tasks they asks you to complete and I also like knowing that I am potentially contributing to AI advancements. I like the playback feature so I can review each recording before going on to the next, and re-recording is so easy. However, I was certain that my task was going to be rejected. I struggle to find a good location at home to speak. Once I did find a room that was silent no interruptions I felt more confident. I was very fortunate that my task passed so I continued. Shortly after my payment arrived. There was a bit of a let down there were no more tasks available. At the beginning I wasn’t sure whether it’s a legit site or not. It did take some time to complete the task. I also got returned task that I needed to redo to get it perfect. But after all, they pay you quickly. It takes a few days after your task is approved to receive payment but it’s great. Some of the tasks are more worth it like the lower sentence count as it takes less time. I have only received one task, but the directions were clear and the task was easy to submit. ### 5/5 — Easy to use and very straightforward! *2020-11-24, version 28.0.0* I first saw a posting for Robson online, saying they needed people for very easy voice recording tasks. Signing up took 5 minutes, and there were multiple tasks to choose from! They were even labeled with estimated recording time, so you can set aside the time needed. If you need to stop in the middle of a task, it saves your work! I had a positive experience doing multiple tasks for Robson, and received payment quickly after finishing a task. ### 4/5 — Great but not a lot of tasks *2020-11-24, version 28.0.0* It’s a great easy way to earn extra money. The only downside is there aren’t many tasks. I haven’t had any available is several months and before that there were 3 but none that fit my profile. I completed 2 and communication was great. So of course I was eager to finish them up as they are first come first serve. Let me tell you I have not been paid for NOT ONE OF THEM that I fully completed this year and have been waiting on my payments well over a month now. Tried emailing them numerous times and of course…no reply at all! Nothing! Please do not deal with Robson if you are planning on getting paid as you are due!!! Learn from my lesson!!!!!!!! 😡 ### 1/5 — Rip off *2023-06-18* Don’t even waste your time. Biggest rip off…they say use headphones so I do and I make sure to listen to every few recording to ensure my voice is clear and then I get an email saying that every single one of y recordings needs to be re recorded?!?! I spent an hour or more recording their sentences and my voice was clear and precise. I made sure. They said there was background noise when there was none at all. You can hear when the recording goes on and when it goes off and my voice very clear in it…second time this happens — save your time ### 1/5 — No tasks *2022-09-24, version 34.7.1* Like the reviewer before me, I set up my profile several months ago and never received any tasks. The five star reviews on here seem fishy as most are in the same tone, and several are bunched on the same days. I’m deleting the app after posting this review. Waste of time. ### 1/5 — They make you repeat your task *2022-02-15, version 33.4.1* Even if you did it as stated they will still make u repeat the whole task because of few invalid recordings, this company is not professional they don’t thoroughly review each recording they just make u do the entire task again. And Good luck dealing with their incompetent helpless “support” ### 1/5 — Complete tasks without payment *2021-02-24, version 33.2.1* Robson will tell you that you’re eligible to complete a task MAYBE twice a year...you’ll spend an extended period of time completing it, and then they’ll email you telling you you “don’t meet their eligibility requirements” with no further explanation, and then they won’t pay you. There are other apps out there where you can complete tasks for money, go anywhere but here. ### 1/5 — Dishonest. Would only make partial payment for your task. *2020-08-06, version 23.0.0* Update: They finally got back to me but they are stalling. Told me I would be paid and it’s been two weeks and still NOTHING! What a scammer! I did a recording and was promised by their crowd manager Sam, that a bonus will be added to initial payment if my task was done in time. They did not honor their word. I tried emailing back and have not heard from them since. It is dishonest. ### 1/5 — Waste of Time, Difficult to Contact Support *2020-07-01, version 22.0.0* I’ve completed two Robson tasks prior with success, however for the “US English Speech Collection - Summer Collection” task which required 283 recordings I completed and played them back. Then today I received an email saying I need to re-record ALL 283 sentences?? Normally if I need to re-record some sentences, it would explain why under each phrase (i.e. background noise, too loud, too quiet, etc.) but there was no explanation given! There is no way to contact customer service through the app since I don’t use the iPhone email app and the email I received is a do-not-reply. Also, although they rejected all my recordings and won’t pay me, it doesn’t mean that they still won’t use them!! If you reach out to our team at datateam@globalme.ca we can provide you with a better explanation as to why your recordings were not accepted. ### 1/5 — Bad Experience *2020-05-18, version 21.1.0* I was super excited to join this application as my friend had done it and recommended I try it out too. When I began, I was able to complete a survey with no problems. I got a gift card and I was very happy! But after completing my next task of over 300 sentences, when it came time to re-record 2 sentences, the task just stopped working. I tried to get in contact with customer service about this issue on multiple occasions. The first complaint took 2-4 days to receive a response on. The representative was very nice and understanding that it was not an error of mine that I could not re-record the sentences. And I was assured that they were going to try and help me fix the issue. The two stars I gave this review is for that representative only. After that talk, I emailed, and even texted time and time again to be met with the response only 1 time after the first response that someone was working to fix the issue. After that, I have never received any replies or updates(it has been over two weeks since this problem began.) While I do understand there is a pandemic that may be resulting in slow reply times, it is no excuse to ignore your customers who are putting a lot of time and effort into helping with these tasks only to not be rewarded for their work. Made sure all sentences were recorded properly. Waited 3 weeks for review and now it’s sitting in “failed” status with no explanation. I reached out to customer service and no response after one week. I’m really upset. I actually made sure to do this task properly. Waste of time. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2020-02-13, version 18.0* This App does not highlight my information, it also does not show the correct dates when trying to add your birthday, it’s just blank and you have to guess if your near the correct dates, I finally got the right month and year but can’t get the proper date, I am not going to use a third party email address to send you feedback and a complaint. The fact that you can’t email directly is frankly a waste of time. Also the tasks are call your friends, none of my friends speak Spanish. And the relatives that do I won’t speak to because they are horrible people. I am not an an immigrant so there is no bypassing the option to say no. This Definitely needs an update. BUT I really think I’m going to like it! First off, the app itself is extremely easy to use and everything is super easy to find! Now let’s talk about the tasks! If you can read and you can talk .. you can complete these tasks! Super easy! Not too long! Fair pay! Oh, did I mention they pay you directly to your PayPal?! It is a cool side job though. ### 5/5 — Hiccups are Temporary *2023-08-29* Be it literal hiccups or a hiccup in an expected process, they are typically rare and nearly always temporary. I've been working with Robsen over two years now and have had one hiccup which was resolved in less than two days (and only one email). Professional organization that is easy to navigate and expects stellar workmanship (as much as I do). I really enjoy working with them and look forward to many future projects! ### 5/5 — Love this app, wish there were more work to do *2023-08-22* I absolutely loved this app. Once I put it on, I had no problem doing the 275 initial tasks. I only ended up having to redo one of them and got paid quickly and efficiently. I would do tasks on this every day, if they would let me. Very instructive, very easy to use and in my case very rewarding. It’s fun and a bit addicting. You have a multitude of hours to complete the phases but I never take the allotted time. I start until I finish because it’s a challenge I set for myself.
