### 2/5 — Love the Fridge, the App is Terrible

*2026-02-08, version 1.0.33*

The actual fridge is incredible, it looks great and it works well, but I’m begging you to hire a real developer or replace the one you currently have for this app. It’s not responsive and the feature of telling me what’s in the fridge works less than 10% of the time.

### 2/5 — Fridge nice but app not good

*2026-02-07, version 1.0.33*

The app doesn’t sync well nor gives you accurate inventory. I even have a few wine bottles in it and it doesn’t show up as if I have them. It’s been a few weeks already and no inventory update on the app. The fridge is aesthetically pleasing but the software needs major improvements as well as the lighting.

### 2/5 — Steadily Improved - Sight System Useless

*2026-01-16, version 1.0.32*

1/16/2026 Update: the sight system seemed to work relatively well for awhile and has completely stopped functioning in the last few months. The current stock status of my fridge is accurate as of three months ago and has updated not once since. This is absolutely a selling point of this fridge and it this point is false advertising as it’s entirely non functional.

The basic app functionality of being able to turn on/off the lights, adjust light brightness, and set/monitor temperatures has gotten much better. Responsiveness is near instant now vs a several second delay or simply not working at all as I experienced early on.

I’ve had the fridge for a couple of months and the sight system is now activated. The first “scan” produced mostly accurate results, minus a misidentification of a wine - no biggie. However the inventory has not updated since the first scan (over two weeks now) regardless of how many times I fully open/close the door or drawers. I’d expect this to improve over time and will update my review accordingly.

### 1/5 — Unable to Setup Fridge

*2025-11-27, version 1.0.31*

App is unusable. I cannot setup my fridge with this app. It gets stuck on “Connecting to WiFi”

### 1/5 — App Shows Icons With No Words?

*2025-10-28, version 1.0.29*

For being a smart fridge, this app sure is not smart. Could not connect a new fridge to WiFi, took 5 tries to do so, now that I have it connected it’s been doing an initial scan for 3 days with no results. When I click on my fridge to change modes, it’s just showing icons with no words in them so you have no idea what it says or what you’re clicking on. They need some serious help.

### 1/5 — Wifi

*2025-08-05, version 1.0.28*

App doesn’t let you type in WiFi password

### 1/5 — Controls work, but what’s up with the camera?

*2025-03-03, version 1.0.27*

I just received my Rocco fridge this week. It was easy to connect to the app and my wifi (no errors!) and the controls work well.

There is a 1 or 2 second lag between the app and the fridge, but it’s fine. When a control is pressed, perhaps the app could show a spinner/progress UI until the fridge has updated. This would help the user understand the status of their request and prevent multiple requests. Regardless, I do like the fan and temperature settings.

My bigger issue is what’s going on with the internal fridge camera. I’ve had my fridge for just 2-3 days and it’s uploaded… 1.3GB (!!) of data to Rocco’s servers. Within the app, there is just a “Learning mode” message saying, “You are one of the first people to have a fridge…”, which doesn’t describe what’s being uploaded from the camera and how it is being used.

To be honest, I don’t really care about the camera feature. It just feels scummy to advertise it as if it fully works and be uploading/using data from the “first people to have a fridge” to build out the feature. It should at least be advertised as beta and the camera uploads should be opt-in during this training period.

Update: I’ve had my Rocco for several months now. The refrigeration and physical build is great. But the app is still poor and the fridge is still uploading gigs of data. I had it factory reset and disconnected from the internet. Deleted the app. Alas, it’s just a fridge after all.

### 1/5 — Maybe it’ll get better?

*2025-01-27, version 1.0.27*

The fridge is fantastic so far, but unfortunately the app is basically useless. It’s unbelievably slow to update, usually inaccurate, and often asks you to rotate the bottle. Just feels like a silly feature that isn’t really necessary, but if you’re going to offer it, you’d think there’d be some more effort into making it work.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2025-01-02, version 1.0.27*

App not finding fridge after multiple attempts

### 1/5 — Horrendous app

*2024-12-21, version 1.0.26*

The app appears to be connected to the fridge but it’s not allowing me to make any changes remotely. I can’t update the temps or turn on the internal lights. Not worth the money i should have just stuck with the Samsung one i was looking at

### 1/5 — Beautiful fridge, broken app

*2024-12-09, version 1.0.25*

Can’t get it to connect for the life of me, nothing I do gets the app to detect the fridge.

### 1/5 — Great fridge. Terrible app.

*2024-12-09, version 1.0.25*

I don’t even care that much about the vision, which is so wildly inaccurate that it’s useless. Just make the app actually control the temperature and lights with some small degree of reliability. As it stands, almost nothing about the app actually functions.

### 1/5 — Terrible, non-working app

*2024-12-02, version 1.0.25*

App never worked - I downloaded it, connected the fridge, and it never worked.

### 1/5 — Smart ???

*2024-11-11, version 1.0.25*

Not sure what this app does other than tell me the temperature and turn on and off the light. The initial scan of my items has been going on for more than 2 weeks with nothing to show for it. Pretty disappointing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great fridge. Useless app.

*2026-05-17, version 1.0.34*

The app is truly useless. It never works to show what is in there and honestly, I don’t know why I bothered. The fridge itself works and looks great. The app leaves much to be desired - can’t really call this a smart appliance. So I won’t. Enjoy the fridge - don’t bother with the app.

### 1/5 — Won’t Connect to Fridge

*2026-04-11, version 1.0.34*

Despite a flawless WiFi connection, the fridge refuses to connect to my phone or the WiFi.

The app is cumbersome and includes dated methods of connection.

### 1/5 — useless

*2026-04-09, version 1.0.34*

WiFi doesn’t connect. Tried this on two completely different WiFi setups.

### 1/5 — Does not find my fridge

*2026-03-17, version 1.0.33*

I have not been able to connect my fridge to the app whatsoever. It never finds the fridge upon setup. Very disappointing. With a price tag like this - this should be an easy breezy app.

### 1/5 — Completely broken

*2026-03-04, version 1.0.33*

App doesn’t work at all. If you’re lucky enough to get past initial connection, it’s just going to get stuck on “updating fridge” indefinitely. Also annoying it won’t remember your login and you’ll be retrieving login codes from your email every time you open the app

### 1/5 — HIRE A REAL DEVELOPER

*2026-01-18, version 1.0.32*

I’ve deleted and redownloaded this app so many times and it still just opens up to a black screen. Completely bricked app. Fridge is great tho but they need to hire a semi competent developer because this is so stupid.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2026-01-17, version 1.0.32*

Love the refrigerator! This app is inconsistent doesn’t open sometimes it doesn’t connect. It still doesn’t have full functionality and it’s just unreliable.
Whoever built the refrigerator to get that team to build an app. Let’s do better Rocco!

### 1/5 — I was unable to setup my fridge

*2026-01-03, version 1.0.31*

Kept saying connecting to fridge and was never able to do it and I’ve been at it for more than 2 hours

### 1/5 — Doesn’t connect.

*2025-12-13, version 1.0.31*

Do not buy this fridge for the app capabilities. The team should just add these control directly to the fridge. The instructions between the fridge and the app don’t even match.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate drink count

*2025-12-03, version 1.0.31*

I follow the steps to scan my drinks but the scanning missed more than half of my drinks. The size of the tray also doesn’t work nicely with most cans to optimize the space. Kind of a waste of money

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fingers crossed finally working

*2026-05-19, version 1.0.34*

After some support emails the app is finally updating properly. Not sure what changed. I didn’t do anything differently. Love the fridge and great support team.

### 5/5 — Connection Issue

*2025-07-07, version 1.0.28*

Issue connecting to the fridge so It is lowkey an overpriced mini-fridge…

### 5/5 — Overall Easy

*2024-12-07, version 1.0.25*

The instructions they provide with the fridge make the set up fairly easy. It has a very simple UI at the moment and would like to see a redesign of the user interface in the future or maybe a way to customize the color of the app to your fridge color.

### 5/5 — All features work great

*2024-08-17, version 1.0.23*

Didn’t purchase the fridge for the service that itemizes everything inside but it’s actually pretty cool. Updates quickly. No issues with responsiveness when adjusting temps. I have no complaints

### 5/5 — Simple & Handy

*2024-05-15, version 1.0.19*

Love the minimal UI and simple controls for things like temp zones, cooling mode, lights, etc. Now that I’m out of the beta version it’s been super handy being able to check and see what’s in the fridge.

### 4/5 — App glitches

*2025-03-30, version 1.0.27*

Great fridge but the app has issues connecting to the fridge. We contacted customer service and they were able to fix it remotely.

### 3/5 — App issues

*2025-10-02, version 1.0.28*

On the drawers/racks it registers what’s on them, it’s amazing, but it only registered 2 of them. It says to turn bottle labels around on the others, but there’s been no update on how it will register that.

### 3/5 — Fine but the view items in fridge feature is practically useless

*2025-03-06, version 1.0.27*

The app is best tor changing temps and setting the mode for the fridge. The “what’s in your fridge” view is horrible though. Mine currently has two shelves that are listed as almost identical when the sleeves have nothing in common and another three shelves that is says have basically the same items when they don’t. The fridge cannot identify wine from my experience either and has only identified two wine bottles successfully. It will also forget what drinks it has identified (despite them not being removed) and completely change what it thinks is on the shelves

### 3/5 — Controls work, but what’s up with the camera?

*2024-09-01*
