### 3/5 — Hello 1 thing

*2026-07-11*

This is a very good app, however for me it doesn’t save my conversations with the expert AI which can be very annoying. 🙏 please try to make it so my conversations save

### 2/5 — Back and forth

*2025-07-21*

This app seems ok, but every now and then, they update it n app gets so wonky, I end up not being able to use it at all until a very long awaited troubleshooting update is released. Right now, every picture, no matter what I try to do is super blurry. Can’t even zoom or put rocks in focus at all over last several wks. Considering how much you have to pay for this app and keep paying for it, I would really appreciate it if I could use it more often-or at all lately. Please fix it-I kinda like it, when I actually does work.

### 2/5 — Not that good

*2025-06-11*

You get three ids for free but then you have to buy premium

You can’t even see how much they cost without getting premium after you use your free IDs!!!!!😡

### 3/5 — Kind of works…

*2025-04-16*

A few problems. Not enough identifications without payment. Payment ads even wasted my last identification. I only got to identify ONE rock. If you can’t pay for apps like me, and you are a pro rock collector don’t get it. For me, it’s good enough for now. I will start getting infuriated with this three indetification per day soon though.

### 3/5 — Cool but crashes constantly

*2025-02-22*

This one the only app that gave actually accurate stone identification but when I applied for the free trial the app crashed. Would definitely pay for it if it worked

### 4/5 — Pricey, $8 per week? But accurate

*2025-02-06*

This is the only one of the apps that actually works. It got virtually every stone or crystal correct. Wouldn’t spend $8 per week for that though.

### 1/5 — Really??

*2024-11-02*

You want to charge me how much? And the free trial isn’t even enough to confirm or deny its accuracy. If there is no way to verify that I do need this via a real trial consisting of more than 3 picture attempts, I feel that the going price is unjustifiable and poorly promoted and falsely advertised. “Free trial” implies a realistic access timeframe to convince me I need this app. Not 3 whole pics with the subscription sign up rammed in your face after each attempted identification picture with a brief description before the subscription sign up is in your face again. It’s disheartening and unfortunate that an app with potential resorts to such pushy tactics over proof of product.

### 3/5 — Why only three

*2024-09-24*

There is only three times to identify but WHY what if you have no money to get premium? Then you can’t do anything after! I would rate this a 2 but unlike another comment this actually works well but I don’t know why only three, so here are MY ideas 1. No premium everyone should be the same. 2.dont make the (buy premium now!) always after you try another the 3 times lastly, MAKE EVERYONE EQUAL PLEASE EVERYONE NEEDS IT. Ok that’s all please use my info.

### 2/5 — Please read

*2024-07-10*

At first this app was good even though it was only 3 identifications a day if you didn’t pay for premium which I was not gonna do.
Then the app was saying I already used my 3 identification’s when I hadn’t and when it didn’t say that it still wouldn’t work. I don’t know if it was just a glitch on my phone but still I would not recommend.

### 1/5 — Don’t trust the app

*2024-06-28*

So I just started using this app and right off the bat it’s all wrong! I tried scanning a glowing stone and it said it was white agate, a type of quartz but QUARTZ DOSEN’T GLOW! And then I tried scanning pyrite and it said this time that it was an Apache Tear! And BTW for those who don’t know the X button on the subscription page is on the top left corner

### 1/5 — Bad for people who don’t want to pay for an app

*2024-06-12*

Personally, I’ve never had to pay for a subscription to identify and learn about something, but it’s 3 identifications a day. That really bugs me because of my large collection and I don’t have enough time to wait for the stupid identifications to load back up. Not my kind of thing.
- one star deserved

### 4/5 — Very cool

*2024-02-09*

I love this it’s very accurate. Make sure to put more like thank you

*2025-05-23, version 6.1.11*

This app is terrible . When you try and take a picture the screen just goes white

### 1/5 — Nonsense

*2025-04-10, version 6.1.11*

I’ve downloaded a handful of these rock/crystal identifier apps now and I get a) the wrong stone b) a list of possibilities ( that doesn’t help me ) c) can’t identity or d) scanning the same rock on different apps and getting different results. Why would you pay money for these apps that don’t do what they are intended to

### 1/5 — Waste of time and money

*2025-02-15*

Total waste of time and money. I had to take my gems to a jeweller as this app is totally worthless. Can’t identify anything correctly

### 1/5 — This is so bad

*2024-12-21*

That’s so bad first when I saw this app I was I excited until what I wanted the app so bad when I went inside this app when I took a picture of the gems it’s just lead me to a black for the sake of
god do not get this app if you do, you’re gonna be so sad they’re not gonna be able to see the cost of the gems

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-12-19*

Subscription is really expensive and the free trial only allows you to identify three stones unfortunately each of the three times I tried to identify my stone. The app crashed, leaving me with no answers

### 1/5 — Nope don’t download

*2024-11-20*

I try to identify or to check to see how much premium costs and it turns my screen gray. Annoying. Doesn’t work. Don’t download. Did I mention it’s annoying? Don’t download.

Все круто !

### 5/5 — Hi

*2025-06-12, version 7.0.2*

Great app

### 5/5 — Only as good as your pictures

*2024-11-14*

I just got the free trial and tested it out on many rocks whose ID I already knew. Overall I’d say it hit about 80% BUT the missed ones I felt were due to picture quality. When I changed the background or angle of the light, it made a big difference. Your results depend on the quality of your pictures. Sometimes it’s difficult to capture the color or translucent quality of your stone with your phone camera. You need to make sure the pictures you submit are demonstrating the qualities that you are seeing with your eyes. Avoid glare from room lighting too as the app seems to be confused by that. Submit the same rock more than once if you need too. Overall, I am impressed sufficiently that I will be signing up for the annual access.

### 5/5 — First Go

*2024-09-03*

Live in Minnesota and recently found therapy and awe in rocks, so many secrets and hidden treasures created over countless millennia. We get to see the byproducts of the earth’s immense power.

### 5/5 — Rock and gem

*2024-04-09*

It’s a good app it identifies and explains everything and chat with an AI, I learn every time I ask questions.

### 5/5 — Real rock and crystal experts

*2024-01-27*

I've always been a passionate collector of crystals, and stumbling upon an app that simplifies the process of identifying stones through mere photographs felt nothing short of a dream come true. While there's definitely room for improvement, it's evident that the developers are attentive to this need and encourage user participation, a proactive approach that I truly appreciate.

As an avid user, there are a couple of features that I'd love to see integrated into the app. Firstly, the ability to generate visual color charts with original photos, names, and main properties of individual rocks within my collection would be incredibly exciting. This would eliminate the need to rely on pre-made charts from others, which can be subjective and limiting. Secondly, the ability to add personal notes to one's collection, such as metaphysical associations and properties, and how the stone is utilized in one's own life or work, would truly enhance the app's value. While there's already a wealth of source material available, the potential to combine identification with the creation of personal, experiential source material through photographs and recorded uses could transform this app into an essential tool for personal discovery and learning.

Overall, this app is already a game-changer for crystal collectors, and with these suggested enhancements, it could become an indispensable tool for enthusiasts like me. I'm excited to witness the app's continued evolution and highly recommend it to anyone on their own journey of discovery and learning.

### 5/5 — Olivia

*2024-01-08, version 1.0.8*

Nice, accurate results

### 5/5 — Highly accurate

*2024-01-07*

After extensively exploring various apps on both Google and Apple platforms, I stumbled upon this gem of an app. It's proven to be highly accurate, although not all of my rock identifications have been spot-on - but then again, I'm not a geologist. I appreciate the multiple identification options and the informative details provided for each choice. This app stands out as the most accurate and polished one I've come across.

My main qualm with this app is the steep price, especially considering the lack of a community forum for discussing and seeking help in identifications that might require human insight. While the cost may prompt me to cancel my membership soon, I must acknowledge the app's overall excellence. Nevertheless, I encourage fellow rock enthusiasts and those looking to expand their knowledge to give this app a try for at least a month. Its ease of use and overall quality make it a worthwhile experience.

### 5/5 — Excellent app - The premium version is also highly valuable

*2024-01-05*

This app has become indispensable to me! It's one of the few subscriptions I decided to keep even after cutting back on expenses. It's truly worth the investment, particularly if you frequently want to identify stones or keep track of your collection.

I highly recommend trying out this app, even if just for a month, especially when you're on vacation in areas with many rocks, such as camping or by a river. It can be a fantastic activity for families, where everyone can find interesting rocks to identify! It's great fun for both families and enthusiasts.

I've found the app to be incredibly accurate, although there are a few instances where it may not identify a unique variation accurately. In such cases, providing a correction can help. Nonetheless, when trying to identify stones, the app can at least guide you in the right direction and help confirm or narrow down identifications. I've encountered some stones where each side photographed gives a different identification, but using the app's suggestions and doing a Google image search or browsing Etsy listings has helped clarify things. It does struggle with solid black stones, which is understandable.

In any case, you can't go wrong with this app, and you certainly won't regret upgrading to the premium edition
