### 1/5 — Not Free. No Samples.

*2024-07-02, version 2.3*

It lets you grant it all the permissions and take your photo of the first stone you want to identify. But, unlike other apps, this one just tells you it has the answer, it knows what kind of rock that is. Just, if YOU wanna know you’re going to have to sign up for a premium subscription.

### 1/5 — NO ACCESS WITHOUT $

*2024-03-23*

I’m really annoyed that so many apps can be downloaded but then you can’t access ANYTHING without subscribing. Please be up front about this on the app page so we needn’t waste out time downloading it then trying to use it if we don’t want to pay yet another subscription for something. 😖

### 1/5 — Do not download not worth it

*2024-02-16, version 2.2*

I was comparing this app to another one I have, and the results failed in comparison wasn’t even close to the right identification

### 1/5 — No free trial

*2024-02-11, version 2.2*

The app won’t let you try the “free trial” until you’ve paid.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-01-19, version 2.2*

Dear developer, if you want to charge for subscription, please make sure that your app works. Your identifier feature is useless. It sees every rock is crystal or calcite. I don’t believe that you don’t know that it doesn’t work. Are you just scamming people?

### 1/5 — Can’t say anything but quartz

*2024-01-14, version 2.2*

Terrible. I can’t believe that my unnamed black stone came up as a crystal quartz… multiple times. My raw granite? Came up as quartz! It’s all quartz, all the time.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-01-14, version 2.2*

Gave basic identification like “Quartz”. Not Aventurine or Tiger’s Eye or even Cherry Quartz, just “Quartz”. May as well have just said “Rock”.

### 1/5 — Pago

*2024-01-08*

Tem q pagar para identificar

### 1/5 — 26 pounds paid for something that doesn’t work

*2024-01-03, version 2.2*

This app took 26 pounds of me which I was unable to get back and get to dispute trough my bank. It doesn’t work at all . Shocking

### 1/5 — Распознание так себе

*2023-11-27, version 2.2*

Может, базовые камни из магазина и признает, но не больше. Мрамор был отнесён к пириту, родонит вообще был отнесён к серебру. Побаловаться с обычными камнями из магазина можно, но за эту цену приложение бесполезное.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t accurately identify anything

*2023-11-12, version 2.2*

Gave the app a try with the free trial, but even with clearly focused stones in good lighting it seems to randomly generate stones, and 3/3 tries were wayyyy wrong. Deleted the app already. A waste of time, and glad I didn’t pay for it 🤦🏼‍♀️

### 1/5 — Fake and seems like a scam.

*2023-11-11, version 2.2*

I downloaded to ID one one rock that I have. The camera on the app will not focus on the rock at all (my phone's camera takes very detailed pictures, and other rock ID apps I have will focus in detail on my rocks). The camera is only focusing on the mat behind my rock.

The scam: the mat behind the rock is in clear detail, the rock is extremely blurry and unidentifiable. Yet it still said "match found!" and asked me to pay. Whereas other rock apps when a bad pic is taken say "this doesn't look like a rock"

### 1/5 — Not accurate at all!!!

*2023-09-30, version 2.2*

First 3 scans and all after were a strike out!! Even simple stones were not identified. Don’t Easter your time downloading. It’s super primitive and inaccurate!! I canceled my trial immediately after scanning all my stones with zero proper ID..

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-09-30, version 2.2*

This app couldn’t recognize it’s father with a DNA test. It thinks all the dyed quartz is elbaite, red jasper was seen as hematite, hematite as azurite, ruby had almandine for the closest guess…and tigers eye was quartz!! My kid can identify them better. Not even worth the download time.

### 1/5 — Don’t get this app!

*2023-09-20, version 2.2*

It does not work! The camera cannot identify anything, & the search is broken there’s also no clear chart to look up anything manually.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t hardly work

*2025-07-19, version 2.10*

I pay for this app and have not been able to get it to work for months! When it was working it would work maybe 25% of the time if I was lucky! I have given this multiple chances and am canceling my subscription and deleting! Don’t bother it’s a waste of time and money!

### 1/5 — Nonsense

*2025-04-10*

I’ve downloaded a handful of these rock/crystal identifier apps now and I get a) the wrong stone b) a list of possibilities ( that doesn’t help me ) c) can’t identity or d) scanning the same rock on different apps and getting different results. Why would you pay money for these apps that don’t do what they are intended to

### 1/5 — Can’t read the reviews

*2025-02-21, version 2.10*

What good does it do to have 660 reviews if we can’t see them? AND a response from an AI that is essentially no response. Why would I need to contact you? I just did. HERE in my review. Now DO something that isn’t passive aggressive. Fix your app or stop claiming it can ID gemstones when it misses the mark 90% of the time. THAT’s why you reviews are inaccessible.

### 1/5 — Why does it cost money :(

*2025-01-26, version 2.10*

I have tons of gems and didn’t know what they were so I got this app and it said it knew what was then it said get a subscription!? I am not paying 8 dollars a week and I probably won’t use it as long as a year. I don’t know why the biggest feature costs money I think it would be better if there was little features that cost money like having it save the gem you do. My opinion is that a free one probably would be better. And others say it’s not even accurate. Im going get a free one

Yeah… I found a better free one

### 1/5 — Diamonds

*2024-10-29, version 2.4*

I have a few jewels and some are diamonds and some are crystals , I don’t think the app got it right as it was showing me that they were all diamonds

### 1/5 — Garbage app

*2024-10-25, version 2.4*

Yo, this app is garbage first i tried it on a stone. I found in my backyard after it found a match, but it didn’t tell me what it was after that. it matched again and you know what the picture was my boxers.it identified my pants as stones need I say more

### 1/5 — Poor Camera Use and Inability to ID

*2024-09-30, version 2.4*

Tried the trial. Firstly, the camera is impossible to use. If you leave focus at the preset level it cannot ID and says sample is too small. If you increase focus you cannot even find the sample without waving the camera all over the background. Never could ID a single sample.

### 1/5 — Pathetic

*2024-09-26, version 2.4*

Download this app, then asked for monthly billing..

### 1/5 — Not so great

*2024-09-19, version 2.4*

It identified one out of 7 but couldn’t or misidentified the rest.

### 1/5 — Greedy

*2024-08-17, version 2.4*

Do not install its a scam and a waste of time and or money!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Still trash

*2026-06-22, version 2.12*

You know, I wrote a review about two years ago because it identified my boxer shorts as a rock so I came back two whole years later to see if he got any better the developer said it was tricky with with recognition he said take pictures from multiple different angles so I did I took pictures for multiple different angles and identify my stone. There wasn’t a stone. It was my hand. My hand from close-up, medium, and far away and every single time it identified a stone there was no stone in sight. It’s just obviously lying.

### 5/5 — Удобная коллекция

*2024-01-15, version 2.2*

Отцифровал свою коллекцию!) половину камней идеально распознала, остальное ручками дописал:) Информации много интересной, даже места добычи

### 5/5 — Mon avis j’adore!

*2023-07-29, version 2.2*

J’adore!

### 5/5 — My hopes were crushed and thrown in the tumbler

*2023-07-02, version 1.19*

I downloaded this app, thinking i could identify a stone I've had for years. I tried so many times but all results i did not agree with. Mostly because it's neither green nor a clear crystal. So i then tried others in my collection. I tried a few odd ones. Nothing. Then i tried the amethysts. The results were not even close! The first time i tried the amethyst, it resulted in it being a Diamond. I had high hopes but they were crushed.

### 5/5 — Awesome at identifying jade!

*2023-02-06, version 1.18*

Identifying jade samples made easy. Identified genuine jade samples as well as debunked false samples.

### 5/5 — Best app ever

*2022-03-16, version 1.3*

I love this app

### 5/5 — Кайф!

*2022-01-27, version 1.0*

Очень много интересных фактов о своих камнях узнала!

### 2/5 — Constant technical errors

*2025-10-20, version 2.12*

Seriously when I need to use the app there are technical errors. Come on and fix it please. Very frustrating.

### 2/5 — DON’T DOWNLOAD

*2025-01-23, version 2.9*

This game is free and all, but when you download it, you have to subscribe (NOT FREE) JUST to use the app?!?!? Again, DO NOT DOWNLOAD

### 2/5 — This app is wrong more times than the weatherman

*2024-02-02, version 2.2*

I would have given it one star, but I was once told that no one take those reviews seriously. Honestly, I think this app should be removed from the play store. Apple is supposed to check these apps out, right? You have a better chance of being struck by lightning than this app does identifying a group of 5 different stones your trying to identify. Yes, it spits out 5 random minerals or stones. The only qualities that may be the same might be the color. Don’t even do the free trial. I deleted the app and stopped the subscription and still got charged for a year. Apple won’t give your money back and neither will the conman that made the app. Shame on you Apple for even letting this app get past your guidelines and get in the App Store. I even suggested changing the payment to a real working app that I pay for monthly so they could still keep the money and they couldn’t do nothing for me. I also contacted the D-Team and gave them the opportunity to just refund my money for their bogus app before I left a review, but there leader Mr. No-T Did not respond. As expected no refund. So don’t get this app and do the free trial. It’s a trap and I think they hacked my phone.🎤💧
