### 1/5 — Incorrect Identifications

*2026-08-16*

Identifications given are nothing close to what the stone looks like, the camera mode on the app blurs my rocks, and it asks for three sides of a stone- how likely is there to be a rock with three sides?

**Developer response:** We're sorry to hear about your experience. For best results, try good lighting and a clear view of the specimen. Our identification models are constantly improving, and if you send a photo to support@rockinapp.com, our team can take a closer look and help.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-08-12, version 1.18.1*

My card declined for 10.61 when I tried to sign up for free trial now I can’t use my Apple App Store till your company fixes this ! There is no one to contact

### 1/5 — STAY AWAY!!!

*2026-08-08*

Deceptive paywall trap. App locks your screen with no close button and forced a $150 annual charge within 1 minute of downloading. Support refuses to help.
*Pffft. Now you’re saying you will help? I went back and forth with Tiffany 10 times and always ended up saying you couldn’t do anything. Worst customer service EVER.

**Developer response:** We're really sorry to hear about your experience — that definitely shouldn't happen. Please email us at support@rockinapp.com with your account details and any charge information. Our team will investigate this urgently and work to resolve it.

### 5/5 — Rhemeveneg

*2026-08-02*

### 1/5 — Este app es tan fake como las piedras que compre

*2026-08-02, version 1.18.1*

Este app es un robo, no sirve para nada

### 1/5 — Will Charge You During Free Trial Period & Doesn’t Actually Identify Stone

*2026-07-29, version 1.18.0*

First, this app is supposed to offer a 3 day free trial before purchase. I clicked the toggle button to enable the free trial, but they charged me anyway by the end of the first day of the free trial period. I requested a refund and was denied. In the app, it only gave the $17.99 a week price, but if you go to your subscriptions in your Apple profile, it gives you many more options.

As far as the app functionality, it’s a waste of time. It can only claim 99% accuracy because it’ll give you a list of what the stone could be. It doesn’t actually identify anything specific.

### 1/5 — Agate???

*2026-07-21*

It doesn’t know how to identify simple agates, this is a stupid app

**Developer response:** We're sorry to hear about your experience. For better results, try scanning with good lighting and a clear view of the specimen. We're always improving our identification algorithms, and if you send a photo to support@rockinapp.com, our team can take a closer look and help.

### 1/5 — Can’t identify the stone (diamond)

*2026-06-23, version 1.15.1*

Can’t identify the stone (diamond)

### 1/5 — You have to pay $50 or per year you have to pay $10 per week

*2026-06-19*

Tiiiiij

**Developer response:** We're sorry to hear about your frustration with the pricing. We offer a free trial so you can explore RockIn before deciding. If you have any questions about your subscription, please email support@rockinapp.com and our team will assist you.

### 5/5 — I can earn money

*2026-06-18*

Now I know how to indentify my rocks and see how much it costs

**Developer response:** That's fantastic to hear! We're thrilled RockIn is helping you identify and value your finds. Keep exploring and happy collecting!
