Tap the adjustment up to 110BPM & it matches, for that moment. But then tap the “Set” then “Set & Play” & the music immediately drops back to too slow for the pace I’m trying to maintain (while recovering from STEMI). Also, iPhone itself is accurately tracking Steps Per Minute, but this app under-reports significantly. The DJ work seems fantastic. The tech fails completely. ### 4/5 — Great App, needs more integration *2026-06-03, version 6.1.7* I was looking for a music app and found RockMyRun. Absolutely fantastic music choice as has Christian music but it is a shame that it does not integrate with Garmin heart rate for the bpm selection. When I start to tire, put it on and it keeps me going during training or races. However, recently, my Shokz Open Runs can no longer control the music. I cannot pause or skip. Also, I was promised a free trial, but was billed. ### 2/5 — Went from 10 ⭐️ to 2 after I bought a lifetime membership *2024-07-25, version 6.1.3* When I bought this, you could skip as much as you liked. They also had the artists and song titles listed for the entire playlist. This provides better information when selecting playlists. Combined with the limited skips, removing the song title list significantly degrades the usability of this app. Sometimes I find I don’t care for the first several songs and then it gets good. Now I can no longer jump ahead. So in a 3 hour playlist, maybe I prefer than last hour but I can no longer get there. It also seems like some songs have been removed from some of my favorite playlists though the playlist is still there. I know I contacted them about the skips change and was told this was a licensing requirement. Given these restrictions, $8 a month (which I saw someone say was their cost) isn’t a reasonable price point. ### 1/5 — Will not open *2024-07-24, version 6.1.3* They conveniently charge your bank account with no notice AND the app doesn’t even open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no success. The worst disparity happened today when my run was .7 miles longer in Rock My Run than it was in my other running app. I mapped the distance in Google maps and Rock My Run is the app that got it way wrong. Hence, your pace, steps, etc are all incorrect to. ### 1/5 — No STARS for you, RMR!! ;) *2024-02-27, version 6.1.2* Literally, the app WILL NOT OPEN!!! 😤 Used this app for years, & decided to start back working out after a recent move. Downloaded the app, & went to set it up, & IT, the app, will NOT EVEN OPEN!!! After reading the recent reviews, I’m sad to say, I’m just going to DELETE it & move on. C25K uses Rock My Run and can't play music through your watch, so you have to either carry your phone so you can hear the interval instructions or use your watch, which supposedly gives you better tracking information, and forego the music. I tried downloading this app to see if maybe it would close the gap, but it doesn't. What is the point of having a running music app for your watch that doesn't actually play music through your watch? ### 1/5 — Won’t even open *2026-03-26, version 6.1.7* I used to love this app. I got logged out somehow after paying for a year subscription. I tried to reconnect my Apple ID/restore purchase and it never went thru. I tried again today because I had such a great list of saved mixes, and I can’t even get the app to fully load to try to log in. The selection of genres keeps me from getting bored and the mixes are well done. I’m surprised by the lack of recent reviews, so I thought I’d leave one. Most people I talk to have never heard of this app, which is a shame! ### 5/5 — 7 Year User *2024-04-15, version 6.1.2* I have been using Rock My Run for over 7 years now and I have loved it the entire time! They have the best mixes out there for pretty much any activity. I use them for running, working out and even studying. Now that I have the IPhone 12 I can’t get the app to work because it says there isn’t WiFi available. I checked all sources and it does have WiFi available but still doesn’t work. I need high energy music to push me forward, specially during COVID is running a good outlet. My only wish would be to restore the download option. When traveling overseas is this function important because I don’t always have access to data. ### 5/5 — Favorite app for getting my groove on *2020-03-28* Updating my review: RockMyRun is once again my favorite app. I use it almost every day to get movement into my morning. New playlists are always being added, and the variety is enjoyable. The best part is that I can easily select the tempo of my workout by using the beats per minute listed on the front of the playlist. The previous rating had to do with an odd problem where the playlists were getting mixed up, especially the ones in my Favorites list. The good news is, after several months, the development team corrected the issue and it has been back to awesome ever since! -previous rating- I am *extremely* disappointed in the most recent update for iPhone. The reason I started paying for my subscription was because the paid version gave me a full list of artist plus title, in order, for every playlist. Several months back, paying members lost titles and only saw artists; this most recent update now limits the list of artists to 5, even on playlists in my Favorites to which I listen regularly. This is very, very disappointing- I used to regularly recommend this app to everyone, especially in my Weight Watchers group, but can’t recommend it anymore unless you return to the full title and artists list. ### 5/5 — Motivating! *2020-02-15* I love to work out with this app! The music is so motivating and helps me look forward to my workouts. I love that there is an option where you can adjust the tempo as well to help with my running cadence. I really want to upgrade to that next level, it’s not too expensive and I believe it would be worth the cost, however, as of right now there’s not an option of only using this app with a fitness watch. I bought my Apple Watch so that I could be free of my phone when I run. I really wish there was a way to use this app solely on my watch. I’d gladly pay for that option then. It is a great workout app! ### 5/5 — Used to love - not anymore *2020-01-27* Like other users have said, a lot has changed and this app is no longer the great app it used to be. My favorite playlists are gone, there don’t seem to be new lists, it doesn’t show the song list for the playlists so you can’t decide if it’ll be good for you or not (and an entire hour of running to blah music is a sucky way to have to figure it out), it now limits the ability to skip songs that aren’t good for your pace/workout/taste, and the “offline mode” is gone which was super important for me (I run in a lot of areas without cell reception, and have a limited data plan). I even verified offline mode with them before buying my lifetime membership! It was that important to me.
