I can still access pretty much everything through the “home”, “learn” and “search” tabs. So the issue has been deescalated from catastrophic to minor annoyance. I still think a paid app shouldn’t have issues like this that customers are left to navigate on their own, rather than the developer making it seamless. This is probably why other guitar apps have much larger user bases. But at least Rocksmith is priced more competitively to somewhat make up for it. The only other criticism I have for now is that the song selection could be better. A lot of artists and songs are not available, and there’s no funk music category at all, which is a big disappointment for bass players. But there is still a decent selection to choose from. Plenty to keep you busy, especially if you’re a beginner. The technique exercises are good too. That’s honestly one of the biggest selling points for me. All in all, it’s a very effective app for helping you learn to play while making it engaging and interactive. I think gamified training is one of the best ways to learn. It just needs more attention and care from Ubisoft to bring it to the level of it’s competitors. I’ll stick with it for now and update if there are further issues or changes. - Basic technique exercises work, but as soon as you try to play a song, the app blocks you with “can’t connect to server” error messages. The songs load just fine, but the app will continuously stop playback and interrupt you with error messages, making it impossible play. What’s shocking to me is that there are reviews going back MONTHS complaining about this issue, so I know I’m not the only one. And Ubisoft STILL hasn’t fixed it. You have a lot of nerve charging money to use this app, and then refusing to support it or fix problems. This is exactly why people hate Ubisoft. ### 4/5 — Good. I paid for a one year subscription because of a big discount. Now a month later and I can’t even play. The past 7 days, that’s SEVEN, a full week and every time I log in and start a session I get a message “we’re having trouble connecting with our servers, please try again later.” I contacted the customer support link in the app and had to chat with a bot. Was told someone would respond in 48 hours but that was 4 days ago. Longer than 48 hours I would say. Oh well, they didn’t offer many songs I wanted to learn anyway. I’m just upset I wasted my money on something I knew was faulty from previous experience anyway. Fool me once shame on you but fool me twice, guess I’m the fool. ### 1/5 — It does not work. I recently found out that Rocksmith+ works on ios and had to jump at the opportunity. After paying about $152 for the year, I continued to enjoy my 7 day free trial. Once the 7 day trial was over, I could no longer access my subscription. I spent so much time trying to find answers on the internet but nothing worked. Finally, I opted for requesting a refund which thankfully was granted. They have stripped the game down and have you have to pay more for a less enjoyable experience. Better off buying a late copy of the 2014 version on an older system at this point and I guarantee you will enjoy that more than this rocksmith +. Pretty disappointed considering i also payed for a real tone cable. i would suggest avoiding this new version of rocksmith at all costs. I even bought a junky old computer to keep it going after I upgraded to one with USB 3.0 (the Real Tone Cable doesn’t work with 3.0, apparently). Anyway, this app likes to use the Mic to work… except it’s terrible. We have a house of kids, things are never silent. This really messes with note recognition. So we tried to use USB A to USB C adapter with the Real Tone Cable… doesn’t work.
