It’s been really fun discovering new creators, supporting them financially, and making money all while exploring my creative side (both as an iPad illustrator and a collector). Credits never arrived and then they “Moderated” and froze my account. ### 1/5 — SAY NO TO GEN AI *2025-10-01* This app is FLOODED with ai slop and the creators keep pushing “ai artists” on their TikTok page, it’s sooo gross. Gen ai has no place in creative spaces! It is already destroying communities and environments, taking jobs from real human artists and for what??? Derivative, nonsensical slop??? If you couldn’t be bothered to actually develop skills and ideas to create a piece why should I be bothered to look at it, let alone pay for it??? This app claiming to want to help artists connect and get work while also promoting and sheltering Gen AI garbage and its makers is so embarrassing and ridiculous. Logging in with my credentials brings me to create a new account. This was my first time using the app. I attempted to purchase a small amount of Rodeo Coins through Apple Pay, and my CC was charged, but the transaction never completed. A loading spinner appeared with the message “this will take a few seconds,” and it never finished processing. After closing and reopening the wallet, it still showed “spending” and “waiting for tokens.” I waited several minutes, restarted the app, and then found that my account had been moderated! My profile is moderated and I can’t do anything with it! I have not posted or interacted with any content beyond what it made do in the first 5 minutes of set up, I only attempted a coin purchase. I have reached out to support via email and X, but so far no response for multiple days. I was genuinely interested in exploring the app and its features, but at this point I am unable to use it in any way. ### 2/5 — I’m so confused *2025-04-28, version 2.0.2* This app looks like Instagram but it’s different, there are a lot of thing in it that there is no explanation for them, I don’t even know how to share my profile, the app needs more work. ### 2/5 — Can’t connect wallet *2025-03-25* Onboarding is broken won’t connect needs better iOS development. ### 2/5 — Missing settings. Rodeo earns *2025-03-21* Missing settings- dark, 1 on 1 chat. Rodeo takes a 50% fee from each item you sell instead of charging a fee up front. This way they can keep taking. They also do a poor job in promoting small accounts that make great art but don’t have a large following. They bring in known artists and promote them(gaining 50% of their sales).
