Ever since the most recent update, it no longer allows me to turn the screen off, and the screen has to be on the whole time. However, the app needs to be improved. It needs a media player that actually displays what is currently being played. It needs to have easy to access controls, playback memory, background playing capabilities, and it needs to be able to play videos as audio-only. Also, a better navigation interface for finding shows and channels would be nice to. And there is much to be desired in the search queries (I feel like searching leaves out relevant content that should pop up). Or if you leave the app, it doesn’t remember. Works terribly with Airplay. I wrote this two years ago and it’s no better. If you pause while watching something and you go back to it it doesn’t remember your place even if the app is still open. Playback using Airplay is terrible. Sound skips and is super annoying. I think the origin story of ROKFIN as a HS and College wrestling info source is an amazing root story and reminds me to be ready and in shape mentally, physically, informationally and in preparedness.
