This app simply displays the Rokuyo, so there are no annoying displays such as holidays or the phases of the moon.

The main features are explained in detail below.

1. Intuitive interface
The app interface is very intuitive and does not require any complicated operations. Just open the calendar and you can see the Rokuyo for that day at a glance.

2. Highlighting the specified Rokuyo
There is a function to highlight the dates of specific Rokuyo (e.g. Taian or Tomobiki). By using this function, you can check the Rokuyo that you particularly care about at a glance and help you plan your schedule.

3. Past and future Rokuyo
You can display not only today, but also calendars from January 1950 to December 2029, so you can check the Rokuyo for a wide range of dates.

4. Explanation of Rokuyo
There is a help that explains the meaning and characteristics of each Rokuyo in detail. It is easy to understand even for those who are learning about Rokuyo for the first time, and you can deepen your understanding. This information is also useful when explaining Rokuyo to friends and family.

[Main operation method]
When you start the app, the calendar for the current month will be displayed, so you can see the Rokuyo for that day at a glance. You can display the calendar for the previous and next month by swiping left and right. You can also specify the year and month to immediately switch to the calendar for that year and month.

You can set it to highlight specific Rokuyo (e.g. Taian or Tomobiki) to make it easier to visually find the date of the Rokuyo you are looking for. You can also customize the display style from the settings menu. It is simple, but you can use it to suit your style.

[By the way, what are Rokuyo?]
Rokuyo (六曜) refers to the six days of the week in the traditional Japanese calendar that indicate good or bad luck for each day. Specifically, there are six days: "Sensho", "Toyobiki", "Senbu", "Shakko", "Taian", and "Butsumetsu". Each day has a meaning that is said to be suitable for certain actions and events.

Sensho (先勝)
On this day, the morning is considered auspicious. It is recommended to act quickly to start something, and it is especially suitable for business negotiations and starting new projects. However, you should be careful as your luck will decrease from the afternoon onwards.

Tomobiki (友引)
This day is said to attract friends, and is ideal for celebrations such as weddings. It is also a good day for gatherings and events with friends. However, it is said to be avoided for funerals.

Senbu (先負)
It is auspicious from the afternoon onwards, and it is recommended to act carefully, especially in the morning. When making business or new plans, it is better to move your actions after the afternoon.

Shakko (赤口)
This is a day when you need to be especially careful, and it is important to be careful of fire. It is also said that it is better to avoid important decisions and contracts. It is recommended to spend this day calmly, as you may be short-tempered or get into trouble.

Taian (大安)
This is considered the most auspicious day, and it is said that you are likely to succeed in whatever you do. This is a great day for weddings and starting new businesses. It is also a good day to make special plans with friends and family.

Butsumetsu (仏滅)
This is considered the most unlucky day, and anything important should be avoided. It is best to avoid starting anything new on this day, and spend your time relaxing.

[Summary]
Incorporating Rokuyo into your daily life may help you make better decisions. Planning important events on Taian days and spending modestly on Butsumetsu days will give you a sense of security in terms of your mood and feelings.

Also, making plans to spend time with friends on Tomobiki days can be an opportunity to deepen your relationships. This type of use is a new approach to utilizing the wisdom of Rokuyo.

### 5/5 — Works as advertised!

*2025-12-17*

It works well. You can customise the colours of the days and see a chart of the fortunate/misfortunate periods of the day by hour as well (though you can't change the colours of the sections of the hour-by-hour fortune chart, which I would like). It has ads, but they're just little banner ads at the bottom of the screen, never obnoxious or anything. The calendar also shows holidays when you tap on a day, which I think is nice too. The whole thing is simple and does what it's meant to without anything obnoxious overshadowing the original purpose. The only things I would love to see changed are allowing colour customisation for the hour-by-hour fortune chart and making a widget I can put on my homescreen to see the info about the current day or something like that
