### 4/5 — Love the Remake of the OG Rolando but why is Rolando 2 missing?

This is a great remake of Rolando, and the updated graphics and iPad support are very much appreciated, checking the handcircus dev page however Rolando 2 is missing and that seems a shame, both games are great and it would be great to have a recompiled version of Rolando 2, just as it was, for modern iPad/iOS devices.

Really loved coming back to this game after playing it as a kid.

However, I was wondering if additional levels will ever be released? I saw another review on here from four years ago where there was a reply that additional levels would be added to the daily eventually. Well… it’s been four years! Will they ever be released? I miss bonus levels and the Rolando 2 levels :(

I played many mobile games as a kid that are no longer accessible as of 2017, Rolando was among one of my favorites, I always loved the simple gameplay and interactive mechanics, I am so glad they brought this game back

Tout simplement ce qui se fait de mieux. J’avais à l’époque les Rolando mais je ne les retrouvais plus sur l’AppStore. Maintenant les graphismes ont été améliorés et c’est toujours un plaisir de rejouer à ce jeu au gameplay fantastique.

Everything about this game is amazing. It is just as good as the original release. Actually better. The music sounds great. The gameplay is good and the story is great too. I wish all App Store games were like this just like they were 10 years ago. I don’t mind paying for quality. New iPhone games kind of suck if you ask me, and not just the free ones.

I’m not a huge fan of the “lean right/roll left” with no way to change it. Visually, it seems wrong; I tilt my phone so the slope is downward, so the rolo goes UP the hill FASTER?

Das Spiel ist ganz nett. Die Steuerung ist nicht sehr gut gelungen. Als LocoRoco Kopie ist es mir etwas zu steif. Ich wünschte man könnte anders als mit Gerät kippen spielen oder das Bild würde wenigstens mit drehen. 
Ich finde schon dass es sein Geld wert ist. Gibt nur wenige Werbefreie Spiele und sowas muss gefördert werden. Ich nehme mir vor es auf der nächsten Reise zu spielen.

This has the bones of a good game, but there’s a reason tilt controls have been ditched by most devs making platformers. They’re imprecise by default. And I have muscle tremors. So relying on them for this kind of gameplay is just maddening. It’s impossible to enjoy because these little roller dudes are so difficult to control. 

If you’re really going through all the effort of remastering a beloved game, you should rethink more than aesthetics. I can’t play this game now because nobody thought that maybe they should consider accessibility and include more control schemes. 

Whatever. I’m glad others are enjoying it.

But quickly gets annoyingly complicated. Also why does it randomly deselect the characters? This makes making it on time very difficult.

I agree with others, great game potential but tilt controls ruin the experience for me.  Add option for onscreen left/right arrow control and it would be a fun game.  Jump instead of swipe would be a bonus.

Ganz süßes lustiges Spielchen ... Steuerung Gewöhnungsbedürfnis Grafik toll Musik spaßig,aber leider ist man in knapp 2Std durch und wenn man es einmal durch gespielt hat ist die Lust es nochmal zu spielen sehr gering ,schade / für 3.5€ sehr frustrierend naja für ein wenig Abwechslung aber okay :)

Still a fantastic and original game in 2024 when I returned to iPhone I was so pleased to see Rolando was still available to download and play,a good game never gets old.

Rolando c’est Loco Rocco sur iOS avec une des meilleures bande sons jamais pensées pour un jeu vidéo.
Grâce à Rolando, j’ai découvert un artiste attachant, Mr Scruff, et son univers pointu très British 😍
Quel plaisir de pouvoir taquiner de nouveaux les Rolandos et de les faire découvrir aux enfants ! Merci Hand Circus, merci Mr Scruff !

I first downloaded this game in 2010 when I owned the original iPad. It was a great game, I always remembered it. When I found out that they brought a remastered version of the game to 64-bit devices, I couldn’t wait to buy it!! I’m playing a game I originally played on the original ipad, but I’m playing it on a bloody iPhone 13! How awesome is that! Amazing game, especially tilting. New games are so boring and make no use of the iPhones features, while this game was built in the prime of iOS when everyone was experimenting with the iOS SDK. TLDR great game!!
