## What is Rolemate?

Somewhere out there is a writer who wants to tell the exact story you've been carrying around. Rolemate exists to help you find each other.

Rolemate is roleplay chat with real people. No AI characters, no bots, no generated replies - every message was typed by a real human, and the whole app is built to protect that.

START WITH A STARTER
A starter is a doorway: a scene, a scenario, an opening line. Post yours and see who steps through. Reply to someone else's and step into theirs. Every conversation on Rolemate begins with an idea worth answering.

FIND YOUR KIND OF WRITER
Three-paragraph worldbuilder? One-line improviser? Tag your starters (#Longterm, #SemiLit, #SliceOfLife) so the right co-writers find you, and search tags to find yours. No algorithm decides anything here. Your writing speaks for itself.

CHAT LIKE IT'S ALIVE
- One-on-one chats with text, photos, and voice messages
- Group chats with roles, applications, and personalities of their own
- Pins, reactions, and chat wallpapers, so every story gets its own room

EARN A NAME
Karma rewards the writers people love writing with. Hearts lift the starters worth answering. Follow writers whose next idea you never want to miss. Reputation here is built one good scene at a time.

WRITTEN BY HUMANS, FOR HUMANS
AI can generate a reply. It cannot wonder what happens next. The plot twist you never saw coming because you didn't write it - only another person can give you that.

A COMMUNITY THAT LOOKS OUT FOR ITSELF
Every user, message, group, and post can be reported right in the app, and reports are acted on. Our community rules and Terms of Service set the standard we hold everyone to.
