I bought 5 products from Roli couple years ago and now I just confused. What I will say is their software for iOS and iPadOS is SEVERELY lacking. You have to connect to a computer to change any of the settings on any of your blocks, and, at that point, I might as well abandon the iPad altogether. However, those that say they lost money on a product that doesn’t work? All the Roli stuff works perfectly fine in dozens, if not hundreds, of other apps. It works with a PC or Mac. The products Roli makes are really good, and their FREE suite of desktop software is awesome. I regret owning any of their hardware. The software needed to use Blocks will not install on my Mac, and this app won’t even start up. It just shows the logo and disappears. Nothing will install. Now I have several hundred dollars of useless, squishy crap. Contacting customer service is pointless. I’m still waiting a week from this most recent time that I needed help. If your customer service is that backed up from customers having issues, maybe you need to reevaluate your product. Please remove their apps from your store so that no one is even tempted to download them. I guess if you want people to buy new Apple products, leave it. Sorry Roli, it’s unacceptable. You shouldn’t need to be reminded to support your own hardware and software. If they could combine the workflow of this one with the sound packs from noise and let you export the loops to ableton and garage band it would make the software better. I say loved, because I ran an iOS update and it stopped working. It would run for about ten seconds, and crash. Can somebody please help me figure this out? ### 4/5 — Best Roli’s app *2018-04-27, version 1.2.1* It’s a really simple app but its simplicity works in its favor. It’s pretty to look at and it has a REALLY streamlined, performance oriented structure. It’s the opposite of Noise, that simply doesn’t work for me. Some suggestions: -The lead section needs more available notes and maybe a bigger loop. -More options for scales. -Effects need more gentle curves, its barely useable now because it’s all REALLY sudden, you can ruin your mix if you are not really careful. -A master effect cue (reverb maybe?) -Import/Redeem purchases made in Noise app. -Visual touch effects remains (in lower opacity) in “Create a Song” section. In this case, a video export option could be selected. Lightpad is a really VISUAL piece of equipment, PEOPLE LIKE PRETTY VISUALS AND LIGHTS, your apps should be AT LEAST as visually striking as your hardware. I like this app so much that I think you should consider abandoning Noise altogether and focusing on this. ### 4/5 — Confused *2018-01-06, version 1.0* I love this app so far, it’s really fun and interesting to play with but I find myself confused sometimes. For one, I can’t find any drums to use with my block. I also think it’s confusing to make songs, sometimes it doesn’t show what I am making and sometimes it does.
