## What is Roll?

Roll is the social way to rank every movie you watch.

Instead of forcing you to pick a number out of thin air, Roll learns your taste through quick head-to-head comparisons. Watch a movie, give it a gut verdict, then compare it against films you've already seen. Roll turns those picks into a personal 0–10 ranked list that actually reflects how you feel.

Then share it. Follow friends, see what they're watching, and find out whose taste matches yours!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-08-06

Update 1.3 is here!

Find the people you already know, and sign in much easier!

SIGN IN WITH YOUR PHONE NUMBER
No password to invent or remember, just your number and a six-digit code. Already have an account? Add your number in Settings and keep everything you've ranked.

FIND FRIENDS FROM YOUR CONTACTS
See which of the people you know are already on Roll. Your contacts never leave your phone: every number is scrambled on this device, names are never sent, and nothing is stored on our servers.

PEOPLE YOU MAY KNOW
A new row on Home suggests people from your contacts and from friends of friends.

INVITE FRIENDS
Roll is better with people whose taste you actually trust. Invites go out from your own Messages app — Roll never texts anyone on your behalf.

REARRANGE YOUR RANKING BY HAND
Drag any title to a new spot and its score follows, settling sensibly between its new neighbours. In your Library and in My Ranking.

ALSO IN THIS UPDATE
- Add a bio to your profile
- Tap your follower and following counts to see the full lists
- New animations when you follow someone, like a post, or land a score
- Unread notifications now show their count properly
- Fixes to the suggestions row, the number keypad, and score ordering
