### 4/5 — Good app

*2026-06-24, version 3.4.3*

Good app to find jobs. Wish there was a pending approval/denial tab for those jobs that you gotta apply for. That way one could keep track of what they’ve applied for and that’s still pending

### 1/5 — Used to be awesome

*2026-05-25, version 3.4.2*

I used to get my money direct deposited very quickly. Now it’s over two weeks before I see my money. Makes me wonder if the owners want me to do the quick pay out so they can get a percentage of my earnings. This needs to be fixed asap.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-04-11, version 3.4.0*

It was the most fluid I have used to date. This is what perfection looks like.

### 4/5 — Needs an iphone calendar upload

*2026-03-06, version 3.3.13*

This is a great app for vendor and officer accountability, but it really needs an interface that will add your details to your iPhone calendar. PLEASE!!

### 1/5 — Services

*2026-03-05, version 3.3.13*

Every time you need something they say refer to coordinator. Attempted to speak to a supervisor was advised they do not have one. Still waiting for pay

### 1/5 — Not Happy

*2026-02-12, version 3.3.12*

Our agency currently uses RollKall. I constantly ask to use another company or go back to power details.

1. I don’t always get alerts on time with new jobs(50/50). Yes, I’ve made sure my app is current, I’ve logged out and logged back in, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled.

2. RollKall charges me a percentage to get my money the same day I work, and they already charge the client. Sad and disgusting.

3. It logs me out without notifying me, thus I miss jobs.

I do not recommend this company for managing security jobs for law enforcement. I have to use it because my department chose to use it. I am working with my POA to request we stop using RollKall.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-02-10, version 3.3.12*

Every time I try to select a job I get a message saying you have not been selected. I use to work 4 a month off duty since we changed last year II have worked 1.

### 5/5 — Efficient

*2026-01-23, version 3.3.11*

The app is efficient and well handled, help video shows everything on how to handle the app

### 2/5 — Payout

*2026-01-16, version 3.3.11*

Not consistent with payment.

### 1/5 — This is a bad service.

*2025-11-25, version 3.3.10*

This is an inferior service for the following reasons. If you want a summary, you can scroll to the bottom for conclusions. If you want the full story, you can read it all.

1. Bad values and Leadership: The founder and owner, Chris White, detailed the following in the TMPA podcast # 062. He started as a county deputy that made a terrible decision to bring his young child in a marked patrol car while he patrolled a neighborhood for an extra off duty job. This was a personal choice he saw as necessary rather than finding another way. While working as a deputy, his mindset was how to get, “mailbox money.” His meaning was passive income mailed to him with minimal effort. He rose through the ranks and became a supervisor in the investigative division. During that time, he marketed RollKall at various events to the point it interfered with his public duty. A friend and mentor of his had to confront him to choose between his public duty or full time RollKall. After another person confronting him, White decided to go full time rather than making a good decision on his own.
2. Pricing: RollKall has multiple options able to be selected by the admin of the police department on their website. However, their most marketed option gets paid through various charges to the citizens or business looking for safety. They market convenience to the officers rather than cost efficient service to the public. Their base commission fee is 7% extra paid by the public requesting service. However, RollKall did not disclose to the police department an additional 3% in processing fees charged to the public additionally. RollKall offers instant pay options to both officers and the public individually at 5% each. In summary, RollKall adds another 20% charge to be paid by the public and officers for the platform. When multiplied across every job and every dollar in a city where police officers provide extra services, the profits are ASTRONOMICAL! A full time citizen employee could be hired for less with better service. RollKall is multi-state business and skating under the radar on the amount of money flowing through their platform that they siphon off 20%. As a result of the extra price, the public had to reduce some hours or cancel altogether. Others bore the burden to keep services.
3. Inefficiency and Questionable Business Operations: This is where RollKall takes a turn from being unnecessarily expensive to worrisome. Prior to RollKall’s arrival in the department, payment was timely and predictable as evidenced by officers deposits and businesses experiences. Since RollKall was implemented, payment has been long and unpredictable. Since adding another step in payment, it increases the amount of time it takes for officers to be paid. However, it does not explain where the highest grossing job in the department, prior to RollKall, took 21-22 days from date worked to date payment deposited with direct deposit routinely for a long track record. After RollKall was implemented, the job payment was unpredictable without reasonable explanation, ranging from 21-52 days from date worked to date paid. When asked, RollKall claimed the business had not paid RollKall. However, an independent follow up with the business office revealed RollKall had been paid and made an excuse to hide inefficiency. By making the biggest job in the city difficult, they get the most officers to choose instant pay and pay more money to RollKall. This is a shady practice to encourage as many officers as possible to sign up for instant pay.

My conclusions after dealing with RollKall:

Leadership is bad. White formed the business because he saw the opportunity to get passive income for himself at maximum profit. His motivation is personal gain. He accomplished personal gain without consideration for the safety of his family or consideration for his public duty. Ask any officer you respect if they would ever take their young child in a marked patrol car while being paid to provide peace officer services. Any off duty job has an inherent risk of danger, and a good officer would find another way to make ends meet.

RollKall is expensive. They market convenience aggressively to charge as much as possible. They make the biggest job payment process slow to encourage instant pay to maximize profit while making excuses (dare I say lies) of the client not paying the platform yet.

Do yourself and your community a favor. Stay away from RollKall. Hire a civilian employee to manage department and client relationships. Pay for it through the police association by charging the client an extra $2-3 flat rate dollars per hour worked. This will provide efficient management of relationships and scheduling. Keep payment direct from clients to officers to reduce unnecessary fees and expense. I hope this information of one department’s experience is enlightening.
