You just finished a track. You need a teaser for Instagram, a Canvas for Spotify, a video for YouTube — now, not next week. Rondo turns your audio into animated visuals, directly on your phone. No upload, no account, no server: your unreleased master stays with you. It works in the studio with no signal, and on a plane. LIVE MODE Put the phone in front of whatever is playing — a studio session, a set, a party — and the scenes run on it. The microphone feeds the analysis in real time: nothing is recorded, nothing is saved, nothing leaves the phone. The look is picked on the spot (scene, background, palette, and the settings of each), and over HDMI or USB-C the visuals move to a TV or a projector while the phone becomes the console. Free, like the rest of the editing. AUTO EDIT One tap and Rondo writes both timelines from what your track already knows: a scene for each part, media cuts on the biggest changes and then on the downbeat, effects dosed by section — nothing on the intro, pump and flash on the drop. Another tap recasts it. Everything stays editable. YOUR TRACK'S TEMPO Rondo now reads the tempo and the downbeat, and shows the BPM in the Audio panel. Timeline boundaries land on the beat, trims and "find the drop" snap to the bar, a Spotify Canvas loops on a whole number of bars, and Ring and Orb brace themselves just before a kick instead of only answering it. On a track with no steady tempo, Rondo says nothing rather than something wrong. THE PASSAGE OF A CLIP A media block carrying a video now chooses which part of it plays, on a filmstrip of the clip itself: drag the window, or pull its handles. Shorter than the block, it loops inside it. FOUR MORE PALETTES Steel, Cobalt, Fern and Amethyst — ten signed palettes now, each with a dominant of its own. SMALL THINGS Tapping a scene or a background you have already chosen opens its settings. The tile rows sit on your selection instead of starting from the left. The turntable's arm swings on its pivot. Restoring a purchase is more patient. And the editor redraws less: a slider no longer re-renders the screen behind it. ### 2.1.0 — 2026-09-16 Rondo 2.1 — one track, several scenes. THE SCENE TIMELINE Cut your track into scenes: one on the intro, another on the drop, each with its own settings, and a crossfade at the join. Drag a boundary to move it — it snaps to the changes in the track. When both sides of a join are the same scene, it morphs instead of cross-fading. Free, like the rest of the editing. THE SHAPE OF YOUR TRACK Rondo now names the parts of your track — intro, build, drop, groove, break, outro — under the waveform. Trims, media boundaries and scene boundaries snap to them, and "find the drop" now looks for the build rather than the loudest moment. LYRICS Your phone's own language model proofreads the transcription — spelling and punctuation — without ever touching the timings, and nothing leaves the device. Karaoke redone to the rules of the genre: two lines on screen, a 2.5-second count-in, a sweep that advances inside each word, and an empty screen during an interlude. TWO NEW SCENES, TWO LIGHT BACKGROUNDS Modular, a eurorack panel whose knobs follow the bands while its cables hang in front. Smoke, slow curls drawn in the palette's ink. And the first light backgrounds: Paper, and Halftone with its Ink setting — colour, dark, or inverted. A CATALOGUE YOU RECOGNISE Scenes and backgrounds are now picked on tiles bearing a hand-drawn emblem, the same for every track. Peaks on Bars, reflection on Cassette, afterglow on Scope, and the Beatbox crew jumps instead of swelling. FIXES Boundaries on both timelines now follow your finger exactly, and move your finger away from the strip to fine-tune — down to a hundredth of a second. Live Photos can be animated in the media timeline, photos from the library go through the system decoder (HEIC), and video reads a frame's texture only once. ### 2.0.0 — 2026-09-12 Rondo 2.0 — your photos and videos become a film cut to your track. THE MEDIA BACKGROUND Add up to 12 photos and videos (4 clips): they follow one another over the track, each with its own share of it. Drag the handle between two blocks to move their boundary, long-press a thumbnail to reorder, tap one to seek straight to it. Five spreads in one tap: equal parts, at the changes in the track, full clips, longer and longer, shorter and shorter. For a clip you pick the passage that plays, and a short clip loops instead of stopping. Per media: veil, motion, blur, pump on the kick, shake, flash and glitch — four reactivity presets, or your own. Seven transitions between two media: cut, crossfade, through the background, white flash, slide, zoom, wipe. A NEW SCENE, AND SCENES THAT GOT MORE Nova, a field of light motes drifting and twinkling with the mix. Ring and Orb can wear a swarm of particles driven by the kick, LED lets you choose the number of rows, Rain's drops bounce at impact, and Hyperspace goes denser. A REDRAWN APP New library with project tiles, a clearer editor toolbar, buttons and chips redesigned, a new welcome, and a loading screen that no longer shifts the preview when a project opens. FASTER Videos are decoded at the size actually shown, so the preview holds its frame rate with several clips. On Android, a refused decoder repairs itself instead of killing playback, and "play from here" no longer loses the seek. ### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-08 Two new scenes made for your own photo or video, in Widget mode: Player, the now-playing card — artwork, title, artist and a progress bar that really moves — and Wave, the track's waveform with its playhead, the music sticker of stories. Neon now writes accents, currencies and every symbol on your keyboard. A shortcut to the artwork settings from scenes that feature it. A faster editor: settings follow your finger, and the preview no longer stutters when you open a panel or adjust a scene — especially with a video background. Sliders show a handle even at zero. Title and artist fields keep the cursor where it is while you type; the keyboard no longer covers a panel and closes with it. Under the hood: React Native 0.86.3 and updated libraries. ### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-07 Widget mode: the scene no longer has to fill the screen. Put it in a movable frame — wide, square or tall — and let your photo or video show around it. Drag it on the preview like any other block. Export a whole set as one video: your tracks chained with a crossfade, and the YouTube chapters copied, ready to paste. Artwork colours: your cover becomes a palette in one tap, without touching your brand colours. The export builds under your eyes, with a preview and the time left; it pauses when the app goes to the background and resumes where it was. Six starter looks, including « Studio »: VU meters in a frame over your photo. A clearer editor: Visual (scene, background, colours, frame, presets), Identity, Lyrics, Audio. In placement mode, pick the block to move right from the bar.
